And her being married to Roger makes her lucky because he can make anybody laugh. Damn, it all makes sense now. Though she does genuinely love him though, so he probably saved her career by marrying her.
While humans would wonder what Jessica saw in Rogger to fall in love with him, cartoons would see the opposite wondering why Rogger fell in love with Jessica

A few years ago I was at a party and this movie was on in the background. We were all just hanging out, sitting around the table, playing cards, bs'ing, etc., and this scene comes on. Everyone pretty much stopped what they were doing and stared at the TV, esp the guys lol. When the scene was over we all just busted out laughing talking about how insane it is that a cartoon character can captivate us all like that! Good times and GREAT scene. xoxo
"she's married to roger rabbit?" "yea..what a lucky girl" My favorite line in the whole movie because of what it means. The world loves Jessica for how hot she is. But Roger loves Jessica for who she is on the inside. You could draw Jessica as any cartoon, but she'd still always be the same asexual sweetheart that fell in love with Roger. EDIT: yes, Jessica was made with asexuality in mind, it was confirmed :)
Can ya help me? Idk if I’m bi but I don’t blush at them- but suddenly my mouth goes dry like I need water and get conscious if I’m drooling- AM I BI OR NOT!?
Its funny.....a lot of people look at Jessica Rabbit and all they see is smoking hot sex goddess. I don't see her as that. While on the surface, Jessica Rabbit represents the epitome of the perfect woman with her fiery red hair, emerald green eyes, soft, sultry voice and goddess-like physique, the quality that truly defines Jessica Rabbit is not her extraordinary beauty, but her sincerely heartfelt devotion to her husband, Roger. She truly and deeply cares about her wacky husband and her unwavering desire to protect him is shown clearly.....even when doing so means compromising her own reputation. Love like that is rare.
Yeah, true. She's a really caring person for her husband. ☺👍 I'm glad you recognized that rather than merely seeing her as a sex object like everyone else.
Yeah she's hot and all but the way her hands are animated so smoothly and their interaction with the real world looks so damn realistic... it's fascinating.
I grew up watching this movie and not one time did I think “omg they are making women look bad” in fact we all love Jessica rabbit not only for being a beautiful woman but for loving Roger unconditionally!
Sexual awakening jokes aside, the sheer effort put into the making of this scene (and the movie as a whole) is astonishing. 5 layers of animation to construct each toon as a real entity with accurate shadows and dimension , the machinery they built to move objects so they could give the toons a physical presence to the downright amazing and almost seamless blend of live action thanks to some high quality acting and animation. Not to mention the fact that this came out at a time before keying and digital tracking (which I've done once before and it's fucking awful and torturous so I cant imagine THEIR pain at doing it all manually). They had to put in so much work and holy shit what a payoff.
I just REALLY love this movie lol, I could spend forever praising it. Like, even removing the fact that it basically was a sexual awakening it's just a damn good movie! Not to mention a hilarity fest if you watch it through and only focus on the background, there's some downright ADULT stuff hidden in the background, including a hooker joke telling people to "phone this number for a good time" haha genius
Quintinity Oooooooh you haven't seen it? Just go watch it alone, it's a fantastic movie (and Jessica is literally the best wife ever sheesh) and there's so much to love about it from it's allegory to it's hilarity, a truly wonderful film. A MUST watch for any fan of WB, Disney or sultry noir-style crime flicks, for sure! This is about as sexy as the movie gets though, save for one or two (or 20 whatever lol) innuendos, Jessica's just a sexual character (although she has a damn good reason, but that would be spoiling it for you haha).
Anyone else see Betty Boop nearly crying at 0:41? It's like she members how she used to get that kind of attention as a sex symbol, but as the years passed beauty standards changed, & now women like Jessica Rabbit were being praised. It's a bit depressing.
mad money Don't worry, she still does. I still see quite a bit of Betty Boop merchandise, and she placed in second in a Sexiest Cartoon Characters of All Time list only a few years back, topped only by Jessica Rabbit. So, in a sense, as she says, "she's still got it" even today, and her legacy continues. Hope that makes you feel better :)
Star True but I don't think it's just a matter of beauty because she doesn't start until she tells Eddie that Jessica is lucky for being married to Roger. Betty never got to have a family let alone a husband if we are going by the fact that in this universe they are all actors. She could be upset that not only are her days as a star gone but she has no one to share her days with where Jessica has both.
The saddest moment when you see Betty Boop shed a tear because she was the bomb shell and now there’s color and a new bomb shell is presented so she’s being overshadowed & forgotten.... even before this scene she says “Well it’s been kinda slow since cartoon went to color. But I still got it”. :((((((((
When she gets close to the protagonist, and that guy groans it makes me laugh hard asf bc she wasn’t there in the making, and so there was a guy groaning at nothing lol
muda muda yeah there was they had a really really thin actress do the performance and used her to animate jessica on top. That’s how she interacted with the audience and grabbed his tie and stuff so he was groaning at an actual girl lmao
Juanita Munevar is there a behind the scenes for that. Since the cartoon is drawn so thin im curious whod fit that frame. Is it even humanely possible.
Not only that, but how they set it up with her Interacting with the actors, And that tie pull/Handkerchief/hat bit at the end, Imagine what Went into that happening.
THIS! As a kid I loved this movie, but as an adult, I love finding these scenes that show what a masterpiece of animation this film is. This moment shows everything. Camera rotating focusing on her, the spotlight, the movement. It feels like she’s real.
Akemi Keiichi I wouldn’t say first, (Mary Poppins is older), but it’s the first to perfect it. You should watch the mini documentary by kaptainkristian, you’re gonna love it!
I imagine the animators for Jessica Rabbit used a live action reference to get the animations perfected. Saw this film as a kid in theaters. One of the last of its kind of animation back then.
When I was little I always thought she was pretty. She is, by my own standards. I'm a girl (don't worry I get her body is unrealistic as hell.) But still, she was my first propor female crush.
Technically if you think about roger is the hot one since toon society is based on humor roger would be considered a stud because he's hilarious like when she said better than goofy
Kinda surprised to read people thinking this was a kid's movie. It was never promoted as a "kid's movie". Maybe a "family" movie (being PG), same way the classic Disney animated films were. And in that way, this movie fit pretty well, considering in the classic Disney movies, queens were ordering young girls' hearts carved out and delivered in a jeweled box; evil kings sought to unleash an army of undead on the world; and religious men were lusting after women and calling it sin. Man, do I miss that side of Disney.
The Mind Of B I'm kinda aiming for the PG-13, sexual innuendos, adult jokes, some of the language, smoking, like cigars I guess. Although they made it work so well for it to stay family friendly, weird.
violence is different than suggestive type things while watching with family end of story its not the same. and no its not a kids movie and no way is it a family movie i mean come on. you would have to skip over the scene.
One of the most recent films has a girl almost killing her sister by accident and a man intentionally abandoning a woman who trusts him to die literally cold and alone. Disney has returned to its previous days.
Ironically, my dad would let us watch PG-13 movies with him at a young age! Thanks dad for introducing us to TMNT, Marvel, DC, Looney Tunes, and all the other great stuff me and my sis are into because of you! 😂👍
So... When i was little, my 19 old brother was playing "Star Wars: Galatic Battlegrounds" in our room PC and i was watching TV sitting on the floor. I was 7 at the time, so i hadn't a dirty mind or anything. When this scene came up, he looked at it and his jaw DROPPED. He was almost drolling over Jessica, it was hilarious! XD when he figured out she was Roger's wife he said: "That's one lucky son of a hare..."

Spanken - Blender it's not insecure shit it's an observation of a piece of the movie so please spanken - blender don't start that "antagonizing me for no real reason" shit cause no one has time for the negativity
Fashion doesn't dictate beauty - beauty is timeless, and so is Betty Boop's appeal. Both she and Jessica have a great deal in common: *both* are styled of the 1940s, and *both* have impossible waistlines. The key difference is that Betty is virginal, innocent, small, cute and childlike - a style that's every bit as popular and desirable today as it was in the 40s. While Jessica is more of a mature, seductive, looming fantasy "godess" type - not the type guys actually want to marry, and she's not my type at all - I love Betty Boop! So Betty has nothing to be envious about. She even said herself in this scene: "I've still got it!" Betty has always been an extremely slim and shapely girl, with an organ-defying waistline. Though her shape varied slightly from cartoon to cartoon, and she is a little fuller here, but certainly not fat. No disrespect to bigger ladies, but obesity has never been popular with men and never will be. Beauty and femininity never change. Really, the only unattractive thing about Betty Boop in this film is that she is voiced by 79-year old Mae Questel. That was a nice gesture and tribute to the original actress - but the voice does age Betty, and that's not attractive, since her youthful voice is one of the biggest parts of her appeal. Another thing which makes Betty look bad is that they chose to make her black and white - and put her in a scene where all the attention is on a much more lifelike woman in a sparkly dress. I find that quite a demeaning thing to do to Betty, and the two should not have to compete like that.
Now, I'mma be honest here, in my opinion THAT is a real woman. She love her adorable little quirky rabbit because he makes her laugh and she adores his company, she can rock anything the is in, she has the voice of a fucking angel, and every person in their right mind would tap dat ass if they could but they can't cause she's loyal. She is the best lady out there and she was there for her hubby when not only he was framed but so was she. I strive to be as incredible as her. Yes, her body is impossible but I don't want that, I want her confidence and THAT is why men drool over her in that scene. If she was shy and had that ass the wrong type of guys would be there. Hell she even knows how to defend herself bruh! The frying pan was her weapon of choice LONG before Rapunzel. 😁😁😁
I know. I was given a dare from my friend cause we were playing Truth or Dare and my dare was to go to any comment and be a idiot and put hate on them. So Im just letting you know

Yoonmin Joon dude y’all are so annoying
Don’t forget Eddie thought he was gonna be seeing a female version of Roger, but then he gets this.

@@rafaeltiburcio6624 xD
@@rafaeltiburcio6624 lol literally so true
Okay but have you seen that rabbit?!
I kinda feel bad for Jessica, because in the toon world the funnier you are the more looked up upon you are by the other toons. Jessica’s sexual appearance most likely only really landed her in one spot since she can’t necessarily do anything else.
And her being married to Roger makes her lucky because he can make anybody laugh.
Damn, it all makes sense now. Though she does genuinely love him though, so he probably saved her career by marrying her.
A rule 34 character on a hentai cartoon
While humans would wonder what Jessica saw in Rogger to fall in love with him, cartoons would see the opposite wondering why Rogger fell in love with Jessica
Meanwhile everyone is getting turned on by Jessica, I'm just enjoying how the artists manage to blend in the real life footage with the drawn pieces.

Good times and GREAT scene. xoxo

We get it......

Omg shut up I'm going to cry
mad money Don't worry, she still does.
***** It might be. She was, in this movie, talking about how things were harder since cartoons went to color. So it could be that deep. We won't know.
I agree. I always felt bad for Betty Boop.
The animation is wayyyyy ahead of its time I can't believe this was made.in the late 80s the animation is so gooooodddd

Maria ‘ actually, there was an actual singer that was also sexy and they just animated over it. At least that’s what I heard.
The saddest moment when you see Betty Boop shed a tear because she was the bomb shell and now there’s color and a new bomb shell is presented so she’s being overshadowed & forgotten.... even before this scene she says “Well it’s been kinda slow since cartoon went to color. But I still got it”. :((((((((
What confuses me is that there were betty boop cartoons in color though

The Mind Of B it was made in the 80s and any thing happens in that time line like children could say any bad words

Spanken - Blender it's not insecure shit it's an observation of a piece of the movie so please spanken - blender don't start that "antagonizing me for no real reason" shit cause no one has time for the negativity
Liv Viltz Not buying it. Tired of girls assuming every fucking thing has to do with body shape. stfu and get over it.
I mean she’s hot but, she’s very loyal and that’s all I need in a woman
A very nicely well-rounded package.
Ridbhdosfieyhhhhjeutjdj zzźml0011hd
She’s loyal and carries a shiny spine. She literally goes above and beyond for roger
She carries a handgun too
