The Army that created this is Aneesa...she is really young and just got her full time job as an editor recently so when she created this she was just beginning her career! She is truly talented! Unfortunately, continuing this also takes a lot from her so she decided not to finish the series. She had a lot of help from other Armys translating the series to so many languages, researching and organizing! So props to everyone that’s involved!
Aneesa was a professional editor in LA before the pandemic, but lost her job when everything shut down. She had started TRoB project around 2018--writing the script and planning what clips she wanted. Those who followed her, begged for her to start a Patreon so we could help her. She finally gave in, but only to help pay the expenses of the series. When she finished the series (there are two more episodes, but she is not releasing them), she closed the Patreon account and donated what was still in the account to charity.
@@tammarabg8174 yes...I totally respect her decision but I do hope if she has done something it will see the light of day one of these days! I also hope that BTS has seen the series and the TRoB team gets some acknowledgement!
Just so armys know she was exposed as being problematic asf she was complaining abt BTS own official documentary saying it will overshadow hers and that she didnt want it to be releases
This series makes me have so much respect for Veteran Army. Thank you guys for being there for them right from the beginning. Thank you for all your support and love that you gave our boys. 💜💜
Summer saying "don't be so hard on him" and CCW getting progressively mad is every ARMY reaction, you about to start seeing why we're so protective of them, these lovely people went thru so much sh*t and they deserve all the good things in this world
The backstory here is, JK had so much natural talent, he didn't work as hard as he should have prior to debut. JK has said this many times. So this was after that, JK had started taking things more seriously but, as all young kids, could be a bit mouthy, selfish and not paying attention all the time. SO this prank , was kind of a wake up call, in prank form, plus a lot of love, and we see you doing better. Although I agree, IMHO they took it a bit too far, apparently it worked.
@@LPnerd that's not true lol he didn't do any mistakes to begin with didn't you see him put his everything into it ?😂😂 jungkook was never lazy about his job even at 15 he was responsible for ALOT
That Jungkook prank always gets me emotional, especially because he was 16 at that time like he was a literal child and seeing the manager talking to him like that and the way he responded it didn't seem like that was the first time he talked like that and it hurts to know that they were so young when that happened
It was his 16th birthday. Were you a "child" at this age? Did you feel like one? At 16 you are not adult but you are not a child either. it is a in-between stage. Things like that equipped him to deal with other stuff later. This was an environment with pretty much no women at all to temper some of those pranks. We can not change what happened and I think everyone learned from it. The laughter and the release was just as necessary I think. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯💜
these amazing human beings always say "We'll work hard/I'll work hard" they're still saying it now 😭 they've been working hard since, I want them to always feel loved and be happy 💜
Hi, I just want to mention that it's a common workplace greeting in Korean and Japanese cultures especially for hoobae (juniors), but BTS did really work hard, they still do 😊
@@xamified4432 I honestly know that 😅 been an ARMY for 8 years but whenever they say that, not as a greeting/thank u to the staffs, but something like "we will work hard for the Scammys" "we will work harder next cb" "we will try to repay you even more" as if they haven't done more than enough is just sooo 😭 edit: I hope y'all get it, sorry can't explain it as clear as the thoughts in my brain 😭
@@joy_ish_2001 it's okay~ I get it 🥰 they are such polite, humble, and nice people 🥺 I also feel very proud and emotional whenever they greet because of their sincerity and they haven't changed all these years.
CCW ready to throw hands when the JK birthday prank came up 😭😂 I really appreciate you guys!! 🥺 watching your reactions feels like having ARMY friends to get excited or sad with (which I never really had). All love for CCW 💜💜💜 💜
Suga actually spoke out against this practice of rookie groups going through all these music shows! It really is very physically difficult and demoralizing! But these shows are not only for rookies...it’s for all the different idol groups. Their last appearance on these shows was last year during their promotions of proof. But of course this is totally in another league. One show got a whole arena to film their performance with thousands of fans! What a flex! I believe these filming sometimes last the whole night so usually established idol groups will give gifts to the fans! BTS gave a gift to every fan that attended their last performance in music shows!
When I heard that these recordings are made late at night till early in the morning I understood why they were all always half asleep. It’s really concerning that it is so normalized. Because the promotion on these tv shows is so important for the artists, the tv networks are saying if you don’t like it we won’t invite you so they can't complain. I’m happy bangtan did only a couple of performances for proof
That's actually one of the many reasons why I love BTS, they always use their platform to speak out against things, they use their fame to spread positivity💜
@@porpora570 It makes a sick sort of sense. If there are so many groups debuting every year and established group are also participating in these music shows, then there is an impossible number of groups who will want a spot. There are only so many hours in a day to fill these spots so the easiest way to narrow down candidates is to make it less accessible. The fact that many of these idols are in school (middle, high and college), they also have to go to classes in the morning so I imagine it makes it hard for these kids to go on too frequently when the shows are so late.
All the feelings when you guys watched the prank, were describing mine! Summer eyes watering and Gabriel answer😂😂😂Colombian blood right there! It’s amazing all the empathy BTS generate! They are so talented, humble and hardworking kids!
This is SO VERY IMPORTANT. At 24:00 Mr. Bang, BTS's creator, speaks to an audience. He explains his philosophy. Go back and listen closely to understand fully the reason for BTS's success! They had just debuted. They had meet and greets, photo shoots, media, music shows, lots of necessary promotional work. But Mr. Bang stopped that. BTS started practicing and practicing. No doubt without the talent of "the boys" BTS might never have happened. But more importantly was the leadership and philosophy of Mr. Bang that he instilled in "the boys". Mr. Bang was determined to create a high quality product. And he knew that he didn't have a lot of money, had a few employees...maybe 12, was competing against thousands of new Kpop groups emerging on the scene, and was competing for even a chance to be put into a slot appearance on TV. He understood that one shot had to stand out over anyone else out there in the market. How? By practicing and practicing and more practicing to produce the highest quality dance and song group ever. Perfect insync choreography with no mistakes. Creative productions with stunts never seen before on stage ..again executed flawlessly. Perfection. Jaw dropping amazing in unison dance numbers that an audience and media would not stop talking about. A way to get free promotion and advertising by word of mouth. Get everyone in Korea talking about them! And instill in "the boys" that they were the best, wanted to practice hours on end to become the best, and instill confidence and pride in each member's DNA so they would always give more than 100%. And could ALWAYS walk off stage and KNOW how well they did and beam and smile and feel true accomplishment and drive to be continued into the next performance. With Mr. Bang's leadership they did just that! And still do to this day. Even in their solo work. Ask Taeyang. He said he couldn't keep up with Jimin's work ethic. To produce "Vibe" Jimin kept asking for take after take. Finally after 15 times of taping the song Jimin was satisfied. And you, CCW, just watched the 3 J's direct them self in that new creative choreography for "Butter". How many takes did they do? Well, you know, until it was perfect! Last note. My 3 year anniversary is coming up February 24th. In 2020 I witnessed the brilliance of BTS for the first time when they performed "On" in Grand Central Station. I was shocked and overwhelmed. Coming from a Musical Theatre background I KNEW what it took to pull off that Masterful Masterpiece. I immediately went on UA-cam to find out everything about them. I have Consumed BTS content Every Day since then. And this is the truth...not kidding....I watched them for 6 months before I ever saw one of them make a mistake on stage. Enough said!!!
I agree with you about Bang PDs leadership and philosophy. But these guys were already perfectionist before they were working on their debut. I heard Jimin would practice so much he would hardly sleep as a trainee. JK would constantly be singing to improve his voice outside of any training. Jin and RM practiced on their own all the time so they can be on par with the others in dancing since they saw themselves as the weak link on dance. Suga was a workaholic when it comes to music. Working hard and being a perfectionist seem to be ingrained in these boys! I think that’s why with Bang PDs guidance they went to the very top!
@Marissa McWhiter I agree. Your point is well taken! Did you see the Behind the Scenes of the Busan concert? The members working to perfection is illustrated perfectly in this video!
This is just the beginning. The more eps, the more tears would be coming down. U might need tissues. Well, its good for you to find this content after you saw all of their victory. So you can see the contrast to what they are now. You can feel their struggle to reach where they are now. And you'll understand why we love them so much. Good reaction. Thank you. Btw, the Deleted scene & The bonus scene are worth to watch too. Its like a cooling down session after the rollercoster of feelings watching these eps.
The rapper who said "your acting like girls" infront of rm and sugais bfree. Yes that's his name. The bts rapline's CYPHER PT.2 was actually dedicated for him and the other rappers in that scene who looked down on them. In the cypher part 2, suga said in his verse "go back to hawaii, go home".. that part we could tell that it is literally directed to bfree cuz he is the only rapper who was born and raised in hawaii that have a huge beef with bts. Bfree is literally known for looking down at bts online and in person. Even when you searched his name on google and on youtube, the only articles and videos of him was his one-sided beef with bts and mean he is towards the army and bts. Fun fact: in cypher part 2, suga's very last words are "i'll put a period at the artery of your music career". right after the cypher part 2 was released, bfree's entire career flopped so hard and went to prison i am not even kidding. search his name on youtube so you can see how massive the dislikes of all of his music videos compared to its likes and how massive the hate comments he got. after he realized what he did was bad for his career, he suddenly asked forgiveness to bts and armys on twitter but "sarcastically" still.
Apart from "The deleted scenes" there is also "Bouns content" for each episode. You'll discover a LOT about their personalities and many memorable/iconic moments that's very dear to ARMYs through those bonus videos. Please dont skip those!
the main thing about jimin mentioning the flat reaction he had about his debut when he went back to school is because it's other people also training to be in the entertainment system, not exactly just rooted in jealousy. they're a part of a performing arts school, and while there might be SOME underlying jealousy because he got to debut before they did, it's more just that they're USED to this. they're used to seeing their friends train and debut, and more likely than not they've probably seen those same friends debut then not make it, and just come back to school like normal. because back then, it was VERY rare for new groups to get any meaningful traction, even more so for bts since they were a non-big 3, extremely super miniscule unheard of company. so they probably thought he got to debut but it wouldn't amount to much because they'd be buried below bigger acts at the time. so it's probably just them being like "oh, my friend jimin is back. how was your debut? oh, cool." then they went about their day as usual.
You guys are so awesome I always wants to show BTS to my friends or family but they don't have the same interest as me, so they don't really enjoy it by heart but seeing u guys react to BTS makes me so happy Whenever notification of your new videos comes I gets so excited Love from India 🇮🇳
I’ve seen this episode so many times and I still cry at the birthday prank. They do enjoy pranks and there is another one that made me cry. Not going to spoil it for you. This series is really so well put together! Loved this reaction!
little context on the fanchanting, they officially release fanchants the day the songs release, so you can learn them pretty quick. So by the time they perform on these shows, fans that show up already know the chants.
They had been doing fan signs up until boy w/ luv & some ARMY had been coming back event after event for years & there are stories of the boys, but especially Yoongi, remembering them. They will always be that type of ppl. They deserve everything the have achieved & then some
That Kookie prank really cemented him in my dope old army heart. The boys like to banter, but they all love each other. And you will know, if you haven't, how actually spoiled JK is with all his hyungs. But he's also very emotional, as you will see later on. Love how they've grown to be good humans.
This episode always gets me 😢 poor Jungkookie. There is so much content you guys will have something to watch for a very long time. Thank you for the reactions.
Someone has probably already explained this, but Jin was crying after their debut rehearsal because it was the first time they'd rehearsed with the mic packs and the weight pulled his pants down. He was feeling stressed and embarrassed.
Looking at Summer and Abigail’s expressions, are exactly as mine.. as if I am their mom, wants to protect my kids 😂. Always enjoy your reaction, thank you for sharing your thoughts while watching the video ❤❤
A note on Korean culture: a younger person does not "talk back" to an elder. Same for low to high hierarchy. So there was zero chance that Kookie would show anger. You'll see this again and again in BTS' encounters with others including the infamous hip hop radio show. (You also see this K-dramas.) It's really fascinating to see how Koreans deal with this kind of conflict. In the next ep watch how RM tries to reasonably converse with the guys on the radio show. (He knows that Suga is seething and steps in to smooth it over and de-escalate the situation.) We could all benefit from his approach.
I have seen this series twice but I love watching it with you again! I am re-living the moments I first watched this series...I also teared up and wanted to really just fight the director during JKs prank! They really get you at the heart! What’s amazing is that their are still this humble, down to earth hard working and sincere!
V was the 6th member of BTS, but was introduced last because he was the “secret member” according to bighit. V as in Victory, he was indeed the victory.
Guys please don't stop making these reactions on The Rise Of Bangtan I assure you there are so many fun episodes lined up !! The "Fight him !! SEVEN OF YOU AGAINST ONE !!" was so hilarious 😂
Please don't take it seriously when others would say Tae was hidden cause other companies might snatch him up. From the Rolling Stone magazine cover story in 2022, here's a quote from Bang PD for the real reason: “We needed momentum to announce that the team called BTS was finally complete. V had great charms in terms of appearance and personality, so I thought it would be impactful when he was revealed last. It was an effective strategy in forming the team’s overall image, as well as leaving an impression of each member.”
Aaaahhwww, poor JK with the birthday prank. Remember he was only turning 16 yo at that time. Just a very insecure and sensitive teenager... He has worked so hard since trainingdays which he started at 13 yo All the others were at least 2 years older. And look at the hot superstar he is now. Doing a live just karaoke singing in his livingroom and 20 milion people watching. I'm so proud of Kookie.
I can just tell it wasn't that fad director's first time talking to JK like that. Imagine a bunch of uggo leeches bullying you at 13 - you would be sensitive too.
@@johnjungkook2721 I think what made it difficult for him was that he knew he didn’t make a mistake so he was confused. But think if he knew he made a mistake he wouldn’t be upset about it. Unfortunately being told off for mistakes or a bad performance seem to be the norm during trainees days in any agency.
That prank on Jk still gets me teary, you're not alone Summer and Abbie! Y'all guys are truly purple blooded now, ARMYs are always ready to fight whenever our boys are hurt 🔪 Jk was still so young at that point but he's already working hard instead of celebrating his bday just like other teens his age do. So that's too much for him 😭🤧 You guys are right. RM had such a mature mindset, and all thanks to Bang PD for nurturing them from the start like this and guiding them all the way. I love Bang PD sm! 🤧 Since the beginning, Bang PD made sure they focus in their music during album preparations, that's why they don't do solo activities, solo promotions unlike other agencies and Kpop groups. Before Proof, they all endorse a brand altogether, never solo. This is why Jin said that one member cannot be greedy and do what he wants, because they're always after the good of the whole group. That's what made Bangtan strong 💜 Oh, and btw, I think you've missed that HAT TRICK from We are bulletproof pt.2, so I hope you can go back one day and check out the dance practice for it 😉💜 I'm truly enjoying spending this time in your TRoB journey. More laughter and tears (Summer and Abbie) we'll share in the future chapters! It's a great and worthwhile experience so don't be anxious gurls! 🤭😊 Thank you for this vid CCW! 💜
Jungkook would have never "blown up" during that prank. 😀 It's a cultural difference between the East and the West. They can't talk back to their elders, he would be extremely rude if he did so. Even in that interview you'll see in the next episode when the other rappers call Namjoon and Yoongi girls. They need to just sit there and take it because the other men are older than them, they are not allowed to talk back so they can't defend themselves. They could only do so later through their music.
"Can't talk back to their elders." Yes they can lmao, they choose not to because their good people. And because their always being the bigger person, Being older or having different customs ain't got nothing to do with that, When Jin and Tae had that argument, Tae was talking back to Jin. Or when Yoongi and Joon used to fight a lot when they were younger, Namjoon was talking back to Yoongi or when Jungkook had gotten mad that Hobi took his fruit, or when Jimin and Jungkook fought. So yes, you CAN talk back to your elders in SK, You really don't think family members get in fights with each other over there? You don't think there's bad kids who don't listen to adults just like in America? It doesn't matter what culture your apart of there's disobedient people everywhere. BTS choose not to talk back, not because they can't but because they are good people, it's as simple as that, and they believe in "Actions speak louder than words." And also this was around the time when Jungkook was extremely shy and timid and he was literally a teenager so of course he wouldn't talk back, not because he didn't want to but maybe because he was in a room surrounded by a bunch of "hostile" adults and he was putting all of his energy into trying not to cry.
@@BEOMIEPRINCESS Don't compare how BTS talk with each other and how they behave facing a stranger or just generally somebody who is not in their "friends and family" circle. Of course Namjoon can talk back to Yoongi, they are friends, nearly family. But even with Bangtan Yoongi or Jin get their age related respect. Just watch them closely. After that TaeJin-fight concert, when they were talking in the hotel room, everybody talks at the same time at one point but when Yoongi speaks up, he doesn't need to raise his voice to be heard, everybody becomes quiet and listens. Or Jin only needs to raise his finger and even Namjoon closes his mouth. You say they do this because they are good people. Of course they are. But being "good people" is based on your upbringing and cultural norms. There are cultures where you are a "good" child for hunting down an animal, my son would be classified as "bad" in my culture for chasing animals. So them being "good people" means they abide by the rules of their community and culture as any proper person should. And before you say they are doing it because that's what their conscience dictates, yes, that's true. But your good conscience again depends on what society expects of you as being "good". So to go back to what you said, no, they can't talk back to their elders. Because as you said, they are good people, they know the rules of their society and they abide by them.
Jungkook is still so humble....he knew he was not wrong but still didn't say ...instead he assured he will improve... a boy with a golden heart...his work ethic is the key to his immense success....
This series is so great! I've watched a couple of times and I always love how they show their debut and their comebacks using a mix of stage performances so people who are getting to now their history through The Rise of Bangtan can have a grasp of how many times they performed as bts before they became THE BTS. That really shows how hard they work all these years, we can see that their success didn't come out of nowhere and that they have a solid base for everything they have build. 💜
Thank you very much for continuing to make reactions to this wonderful series. The further, the more interesting. Thanks to him, I got to know BTS even better and fell in love with them even more (I just became ARMY relatively recently. About two years ago) I hope you will watch all the episodes until the end. P.S. I apologize for the errors in the text. I had to use a translator to write a long comment. 😞🙏 And greetings to you from Russia..! I really love your channel and reactions. Even though I don't understand so much, but thanks to auto-translation, I get to understand much better. 😅
You all have seen Run BTS, so you can tell how they are still putting in the same level of effort as they did at the very beginning. Once you get to watching their concerts, you will see that their level of performance has always been high. You can see their growth as performers over time, but their effort and charisma has always been there.
Watching this reaction confirms why you four are so important for me. Merely your facial expressions celebrate your honest interest and compassion. Thank you.
The prank on jungkook's birthday really always made me sad🥺. But yk they are whole chaos😂. When I started watching bts my thoughts were same as you as I think they have such great mindset to their goals despite the hate to them. That's why I love them so much😌💜.Yk Even yoongi said that watching jk working so hard at such a young age was so hard for him. They treat each other as family, always caing for each other🥰💜
To me, having that response to JK crying is how you know you’re Army. 💜 Personal pranks seem to have a big role in Korean culture vs US culture 🤔. I had the same response. I was so upset. 😢I’ve been Army for just over a year and that was the first time I could watch that clip & not cry. They were such precious underdogs. I think the combination of JK being a child and the respect they all show to each other in their culture made that so hard to watch. Kookie does cry a bit more than others, but 99% of the time, it’s just about loving Army and realizing the effect the fandom has had on his life. And JK became victorious because as their trainer told him in the beginning, JK builds muscle just lifting a lollipop. They had to keep him from lifting until he was an adult because they felt that a buff baby JK ruined his image as the maknae and young boy. But eventually, he’s free to exercise how he wants and can exact physical revenge on every prankster there ever was. 😂 There’s a great clip somewhere of V & JHope lamenting JK’s muscle pig status and V looks at the camera and says, “We’re in trouble. He’s going to eat us.” 😅😂😊
They actually still did signings before the pandemic!! They still did them in korea upto the promotion of mots persona boy with luv (2019) even after they already blew up globally.. imagine the demand if they'll continue to do that though, especially if they try it in the US +other countries (though probably not)
I always crying watching this episode and watching people watch this episode! But I must say, being a full time mom and studying web-design to one day find my dream job and being from Russia, hated by approximately everyone, your videos three times a week really help me to stay sane. Thank you🙏🏻
I’m so happy that you included TROB in your BTS journey. 😊 Also impressed with your quick eye to the references to the hate/criticisms RM and the boys have already been getting this early on. Some people can’t believe that they have already been experiencing these from the start upto now. That’s why I’m eternally grateful for them and veteran ARMYs for staying strong. 💜 If JK’s prank got you, get ready for the real thing. You’ll understand why ARMYs are fiercely loyal and protective of Bangtan. 💪🏼
Enjoying this journey with you guys! I'm happy to hear you consider yourselves ARMY now 💜 I was here since the very first reaction video.. Thank you for your hard work!
Tae was hidden because he was their secret weapon and they didn’t want another agency trying to steal him. He indeed was their secret weapon! Still my bias to this day 💜
That's not true. I'm not sure why people like to spread this. V was literally in music videos of other artists with the rest of the BTS members and other trainees. Also, j-hope was extremely well-known and wanted by other companies, so if they wanted to hide anyone, it probably would have been him since he was well-known. They made V a hidden member because it was mysterious and caused a lot of hype with there was a mysterious name in the promo for their first album. It was a marketing tactic.
@@ipurpleu1668 You are wrong. @serenity you are right. It is so. He didn't want other agencies to steal it. "It's not that people like to spread this" as you say, as if it were a lie. What you say about jhope is a lie, it is the first comment I read about it. So I say the same to you: why do you like to spread that? when it's not true. If it bothers you that it wasn't your bias that they wanted to take it with or it bothers you V is your problem.
it's so heartwarming seeing them still act the same even though they are multimillionaires and are the biggest band in the world. I feel so proud of them because even after all the hardships they didn't give up and that is why they are where they are now, the haters are really quiet now!
When Daniel said "it would be cool to watch them eat their words" I immediately thought of Yoongi and Joonies raps, also the buger incident with JK that was satisfying😌
Oh, I love you guys. I cried too years ago when the first time I watched Jk's birthday surprise.. Thank you very much for the reaction. 34:00 Yeah true.. It is hard.. They keep doing this just because of Army. Namjoon said he don't want to see Armys getting disappointed in them. He said it Festa live(2022). I cried so much I really wanted to say to them, we will never be disappointed in you guys. We love you guys so much. Even if you guys took years of break we will love guys until our last breath. We will support you guys until the very end. (is that too cheesy? But it is how I feel about them. I don't know if other armies feel that way too) my inspiration(I studied with them I went to the university with them), my happy pills, and my everything. I'll be graduating in 2025. I'll come to see you Bangtan. Apobangpo💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
What you must know is that a great part of BTS journey is hardships and criticisms. Really, get ready guys. They are untill now receiving criticism, it's really unfair. I'm an army since 2015 and I've seen a lot of it and it never stops. This series doesn't show all of it, but you'll feel how they are strong and deserved to be where they are now and deserves even more of that!
I cry every time I see JK cry there. I’m with Daniel and Summer. That’s not my idea of fun. I’m enjoying watching you see this series for the first time. Thank you. 💜
Bangtan went through so much and even now they still work so hard like if they are not successful or have money like in their early years. That shows their passion for music, their love for fans and they wanting to give us always good music and content. I can't imagine the amount of pression they must feel now that they are so famous and people have high expectations and what it's more impressive is that during 10 years they have really never disappointed us. We know they are so talented and genuine. I'm glad they shared their feelings about it and decided to take a break in order to heal as individuals and keep the group essence. That's a proof that they still care for their own messages and quality. Bangtan truly deserves the best. 💜
it's amazing to see you guys go through all the stages of becoming an ARMY. you've finally reached the protective reaction ARMYs get when someone does something wrong to BTS.
poor jk that clip always gets me teary 😭 he is quite an emotional person as well and really open with his feelings. He's alwways so genuine it really breaks my heart
Get ready for more teary moments ,bc this journey is gonna give u two type of tear- first one is happy tears by laughing ,and second one is sad tear of BTS' struggle.
@@BaibyDoll I think knowing it IS an illusion and finding out the trick behind it makes some ppl more appreciative of it tho. It doesn't detract from anything because it also takes a lot of skill doing that
some context for jimin talking about going back to school and getting a flat reaction to their debut: the bts members that had to finish school after becoming trainees (basically everyone except jin and suga) went to performing arts school(s) idk if they all graduated from the same one but i know V and jimin did. they went to school with famous and more popular idols that might have contributed to the lack of reaction especially bc their agency was small as hell then.
Jungkook's bday prank has a cute conclusion! His tears just wouldn't stop even during the photo sessions☺. I needed therapy to get over the American Hustle Life prank.. so messed up!! 🤧🤧
I was to BTS and this series made me really appreciate them. This series made me Army. Crying for them and crying with them… I decided I needed to support and help make the boys untouchable.
Yeah...that prank on Jungkook... to my knowledge they've NEVER tried to pull a prank like that on him (or anyone) after that. He may have been smiling by the end, but I think they realized that it was a step too far. Small light hearted pranks are one thing, but when it comes to their work, it's too far.
Yeah, they learned more about each other as the years went by...I can't imagine current bangtan pulling such a prank at all, they've gotten soft and I like it... current bangtan's idea of a birthday prank is light-hearted-ribbing, a forehead kiss, singing a birthday song in a foreign language that you practiced without him
That day was the day when Jungkook turned 16. And even from his debut, Jungkook always felt burdened and responsible for taking on key positions such as main vocalist and lead dancer at a young age. So that kind of content was actually too bad for him. I remember that it hurt more when I listened to that fast-moving part slowly. Even in the log before that day, I saw that he was already preparing hard with a lot of worries, so that was too harsh for him. Of course, he can't help but laugh when he realizes it wasn't real. I actually like it because that style of broadcasting has disappeared now. I'm not blaming anyone. I'm saying that I really hated that prank camera itself.
I don't really agree. They pulled lots of pranks just like this one after this. I really think it's a cultural difference. I grew up in East Asia and don't seem to have the same reaction as some Americans to this prank.
@@onthemetro410 Just a couple I can think of is the pranks on AHL, some of the season 1 Bon Voyage pranks, pranking RM with leaving BTS. Just a few I can think of.
Anessa is so good at what she does! And this reactions was everything!!!! Even though we know what is coming or what you are about to see, it still feels like the first time viewing it all over again! Can't wait for the next episode and see you over at Patreon/Discord!
I’m an an army for 3 years now and I haven’t watch any of those videos. I think I’ll just watch it with you guys so please continue to react on the next episodes. Though I’ve already seen those clips from their different contents it is still different when they’re explained in details. Because I just became an ARMY last 2019 and I have so much more to know about them still. 💜
The whole JK birthday prank always gets me teary eyed and my heart hurts too. Like how could they?? 😭😭 anyways thank you for your reaction. I love it!! ❤️
Loved the reaction as always 💜 Oh man that prank gets me every time.. This series is soo good and it keeps getting better.. Excited for the next chapter.
You guys are definitely officially Army!! Getting all protective over our Kookie!!! Love it! I knew it had to be a joke as soon as I heard what RM said. I was like nah bro this isn’t real.
13:15 Super Junior is nowadays one of the oldest groups in Kpop (18 years as a group) and they are very respected by other idols, that's why Ryewook's opinion is showed (they also appear briefly in other chapters, Siwon said in the first chapter that a new icon was probably gonna show up soon). They were also some of the very few people who were nice and respectful with BTS from the very beggining. I would be cool if you could react to some of their stuff as well :3 they are known as the "Crazy idols" or "Kings of entertainment" because of their funny personalities :D
ive watched this a lot of times but the prank always make me cry. this series is just brilliantly-made! Aneesa is just awesome and im so grateful and proud of her work. please watch the deleted and bonus clips , even in your own personal time its a lot of funny and iconic BTS clips. i always look forward to your reactions. i love you guys, you are so adorable!! edits are sick too 💜🥰
I went to their first tour, The Red Bullet, and got VIP with a hi-touch pass. Basically, where you go through and give them high fives. A group photo (20ish people) was the second option, but I picked being able to give them high fives. They recorded the event, and I took a screenshot of me with Jimin, where his hands were closed around mine. That's honestly my favorite picture in the world, haha. And this was back in 2015, about a month before Kookie turned 18. You're right, they're too big to do those anymore, but at the time I had no idea how historically significant that memory and photo would be. It's insane.
Jungkook is the most adorable guy! I cried when I saw the Bangtan bomb for Jungkook's birthday because I thought the director actually shouted at him 😔
You've GOT to see the Bangtantv episodes! Shows all the backstage stuff you want. I did my research - there aren't a lot of reaction videos to those episodes! There must be a reason why! But I swear you will love!!
The prank on JK's bday always gets me teary eyed but also laughing 🤣🤣😭🤣😭😭

The Army that created this is Aneesa...she is really young and just got her full time job as an editor recently so when she created this she was just beginning her career! She is truly talented! Unfortunately, continuing this also takes a lot from her so she decided not to finish the series. She had a lot of help from other Armys translating the series to so many languages, researching and organizing! So props to everyone that’s involved!
wait I thought she'll make new chapters when she'll get time. That means that the series ends with the 21 episode? :(
Aneesa was a professional editor in LA before the pandemic, but lost her job when everything shut down.
@@tammarabg8174 Thank you for letting them know.
Yes, this is also what I know about it.
She is really good and also very kind.

I was all the way at '17, but I like to think about Namjoon saying that whenever we became Army is when BTS debuted for us. Which is so sweet.

G DRAGON THE KING

That Jungkook prank always gets me emotional, especially because he was 16 at that time like he was a literal child and seeing the manager talking to him like that and the way he responded it didn't seem like that was the first time he talked like that and it hurts to know that they were so young when that happened
In that time he was 14 in Korean edge.
@@celiacostal5570 no he was 16 in korean age he would be 18 this happened in 2013 when they debuted he was 15
It was his 16th birthday.

The members crying make me so sad, but it's something about Jungkook crying (especially younger Jungkook) that literally breaks my heart
All the feelings when you guys watched the prank, were describing mine! Summer eyes watering and Gabriel answer😂😂😂Colombian blood right there!
It’s amazing all the empathy BTS generate! They are so talented, humble and hardworking kids!
a very young JK with those big round bambie doe eyes looking bewildered always activates Army protective instinct haha
Fun fact:
in cypher part 2, suga's very last words are "i'll put a period at the artery of your music career". right after the cypher part 2 was released, bfree's entire career flopped so hard and went to prison i am not even kidding. search his name on youtube so you can see how massive the dislikes of all of his music videos compared to its likes and how massive the hate comments he got.
after he realized what he did was bad for his career, he suddenly asked forgiveness to bts and armys on twitter but "sarcastically" still.
Awwww our baby Jungkookie! Thank you for wanting to defend him!!

Ahhh, their protective ARMY instincts are officially kicking in! 😂 we are notoriously protective of these seven guys 💜
the main thing about jimin mentioning the flat reaction he had about his debut when he went back to school is because it's other people also training to be in the entertainment system, not exactly just rooted in jealousy. they're a part of a performing arts school, and while there might be SOME underlying jealousy because he got to debut before they did, it's more just that they're USED to this. they're used to seeing their friends train and debut, and more likely than not they've probably seen those same friends debut then not make it, and just come back to school like normal. because back then, it was VERY rare for new groups to get any meaningful traction, even more so for bts since they were a non-big 3, extremely super miniscule unheard of company. so they probably thought he got to debut but it wouldn't amount to much because they'd be buried below bigger acts at the time. so it's probably just them being like "oh, my friend jimin is back. how was your debut? oh, cool." then they went about their day as usual.
Truth.
That makes sense...

I love that you've grown so attached to them to the point that you even feel like crying for them :')
You understand. They are like family now.
little context on the fanchanting, they officially release fanchants the day the songs release, so you can learn them pretty quick.
Awwww...jungkookie 😭 I can't wait to rewatch with you the next episodes of this series.
V was the 6th member of BTS, but was introduced last because he was the “secret member” according to bighit. V as in Victory, he was indeed the victory.
Guys please don't stop making these reactions on The Rise Of Bangtan
I assure you there are so many fun episodes lined up !!
I remember watching these bts bombs back in the day as they were released and I never new how big of a phenomenon BTS would become. So proud of them.
Aaaahhwww, poor JK with the birthday prank. Remember he was only turning 16 yo at that time.
Just a very insecure and sensitive teenager...
He has worked so hard since trainingdays which he started at 13 yo
All the others were at least 2 years older. And look at the hot superstar he is now. Doing a live just karaoke singing in his livingroom and 20 milion people watching.

I can just tell it wasn't that fad director's first time talking to JK like that. Imagine a bunch of uggo leeches bullying you at 13 - you would be sensitive too.
@@johnjungkook2721 I think anyone would
@@johnjungkook2721 I think what made it difficult for him was that he knew he didn’t make a mistake so he was confused. But think if he knew he made a mistake he wouldn’t be upset about it. That prank on Jk still gets me teary, you're not alone Summer and Abbie! Y'all guys are truly purple blooded now, ARMYs are always ready to fight whenever our boys are hurt 🔪
Jk was still so young at that point but he's already working hard instead of celebrating his bday just like other teens his age do. So that's too much for him 😭🤧
You guys are right. That's what made Bangtan strong 💜
Oh, and btw, I think you've missed that HAT TRICK from We are bulletproof pt.2, so I hope you can go back one day and check out the dance practice for it 😉💜
I'm truly enjoying spending this time in your TRoB journey.
BTS choose not to talk back, not because they can't but because they are good people, it's as simple as that, and they believe in "Actions speak louder than words."
And also this was around the time when Jungkook was extremely shy and timid and he was literally a teenager so of course he wouldn't talk back, not because he didn't want to but maybe because he was in a room surrounded by a bunch of "hostile" adults and he was putting all of his energy into trying not to cry.

You all have seen Run BTS, so you can tell how they are still putting in the same level of effort as they did at the very beginning. Once you get to watching their concerts, you will see that their level of performance has always been high. You can see their growth as performers over time, but their effort and charisma has always been there.

I’m so happy that you included TROB in your BTS journey. 😊 Also impressed with your quick eye to the references to the hate/criticisms RM and the boys have already been getting this early on.
@@ipurpleu1668 My bad. 😁
@@serenity9299 You are not in error. What you said is true. Don't let anyone tell you that you're wrong
@@sebastiansmythe3157 Thanks. 💜
it's so heartwarming seeing them still act the same even though they are multimillionaires and are the biggest band in the world. I feel so proud of them because even after all the hardships they didn't give up and that is why they are where they are now, the haters are really quiet now!
I really adore you guys:) You are sincere in reacting to our tannies. I appreciate that. Keep safe !
love the reaction 💜 also i hope you guys will react to hobi’s most recent solo work ( arson and more) soon 🥲💗
Yes please
I swear I tear up everytime watching that jungkook prank. They didn't have to do him like dat 😫
You guys are awesome! I’m so happy sharing this same journey with you! I just recently joined ARMY😅 and your patreons😂 Happy Birthday Hobi💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 OT7
Baby bangtan were all so cute to me you can see how hard they were trying to act tough but they were all cuties🤭🤭
poor jk that clip always gets me teary 😭 he is quite an emotional person as well and really open with his feelings. He's alwways so genuine it really breaks my heart
Get ready for more teary moments ,bc this journey is gonna give u two type of tear- first one is happy tears by laughing ,and second one is sad tear of BTS' struggle.
The hat trick is an illusion. Jimin doesn't throw the hat, Jungkook already has a hat in his hand.
@@BaibyDoll I think knowing it IS an illusion and finding out the trick behind it makes some ppl more appreciative of it tho. It doesn't detract from anything because it also takes a lot of skill doing that
That little intro is from BTS's song DNA released in 2017.
some context for jimin talking about going back to school and getting a flat reaction to their debut: the bts members that had to finish school after becoming trainees (basically everyone except jin and suga) went to performing arts school(s) idk if they all graduated from the same one but i know V and jimin did. they went to school with famous and more popular idols that might have contributed to the lack of reaction especially bc their agency was small as hell then.
Old ARMY's like me always felt like proud moms.... watching them grow up from our very eyes....
@@ipurpleu1668 really? I've never seen them. Can you share some?
@@onthemetro410 Just a couple I can think of is the pranks on AHL, some of the season 1 Bon Voyage pranks, pranking RM with leaving BTS. Just a few I can think of.
considering how young JK at that time, he held it in pretty well. even saying im sorry.
Anessa is so good at what she does! And this reactions was everything!!!! Even though we know what is coming or what you are about to see, it still feels like the first time viewing it all over again!
Can't wait for the next episode and see you over at Patreon/Discord!
All the early logs and songs/song covers are still there and some of them are bangers but hardly anyone knows about them!
"Graduation" rocks.
this was fun to watch
I’m an an army for 3 years now and I haven’t watch any of those videos. I think I’ll just watch it with you guys so please continue to react on the next episodes. Though I’ve already seen those clips from their different contents it is still different when they’re explained in details. Because I just became an ARMY last 2019 and I have so much more to know about them still. 💜
I adore re-watching this again with you guys!!
sameee
Rise of bangtan will be even more emotional in the next chapters just wait💜💜🥰
JK is always crying specially when other members are crying... He's a cry handsome 👶.. 😂😂😂Love him.. 😍😍😍
The whole JK birthday prank always gets me teary eyed and my heart hurts too. Like how could they?? 😭😭 anyways thank you for your reaction. I love it!! ❤️
Thank you for all the time you spend with us.
Loved the reaction as always 💜
Oh man that prank gets me every time..
I would be cool if you could react to some of their stuff as well :3 they are known as the "Crazy idols" or "Kings of entertainment" because of their funny personalities :D
this needs to be an topmost comment! thanks for explaining so well! 💙
@@holywineduck Just doing my part as an ARMY-ELF 😉💙💜
ive watched this a lot of times but the prank always make me cry. this series is just brilliantly-made! Aneesa is just awesome and im so grateful and proud of her work. please watch the deleted and bonus clips , even in your own personal time its a lot of funny and iconic BTS clips. i always look forward to your reactions. i love you guys, you are so adorable!! edits are sick too 💜🥰
12:35 JK turned a lil british there 🤣😭
I went to their first tour, The Red Bullet, and got VIP with a hi-touch pass.
W.O.W. 💜
I swear Summer made me cry when she started tearing up lol, cant wait for chapter 3!!
