That reveal video from Ian was *NEXT LEVEL* - That's the car I want to see driving down the Bang!!
Those renderings are so very nice! Top work guys and gals!
Ian did a super job, love the Hoonigan style aero brakes, but the Taycan lights are the only thing on it I'm not sold on ... yet 😉
Thanks for the updates! Those renders were amazing. Your car is going to look great! Also thanks for the cost breakdown and updates. It is all coming along nicely.
@@ElectricSuperCaryour idea is exactly what I need! How do I contact you? I just bought a 1992 Nissan 300ZX z32 2+2 and I want to convert it to electric because you've inspired me!
The articulated fenders are incredible! Pull that off and you will have a SEMA show winner! Toyo needs to sponsor you right now!
Congratulations on the design work. I usually roll my eyes at custom Porsches but you have taken that Cayman to another level and it reads as mature 'industrial design' styling rather than just adding some wide-body fenders and bling. Well Done. My only critique is that the tail lights and headlights are very reminiscent of McLaren. I'd challenge myself to make that more unique.
I think the last render is the best option, the active panels and win would give it an "alive" feeling to it instead of just another Porsche body kit.
The osbot seems like its more for office use but good job with the sponsorship!
I love that you’re including outtakes - your editing, content, and delivery are so polished that’s it’s nice to see it’s not always as easy as it looks :)
Loving each one of these videos on this new series!
Thanks Jeremy and have a happy holiday with family and friends.
Cheers from Switzerland, Robert
Hopefully this project gets your sub count way higher. Your video quality is good for your coverage and your build quality just learning as you go, is freaking out of this world!!!!
Rooting for ya! Sending you all the good vibes and hoping you get a nice job soon. 5 months is way too long for someone that does good work like this!
Thanks for the shout out. Some of the designs are stunning. Sorry about the job thing, not fun.
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Loved your dedication and transparency regarding project 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You will definitely get the job, best wishes ♥️♥️♥️
Keep it up 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Love the active aero but really like the concept of the fender ones. I wonder if that could be an actual benefit for thermal or handling performance?
Not thermal but our CFD testings show these relief vents decrease lift by 40 percents which means increase of overall downforce, not ony that, there are some trick things we're planning on doing with it but we have to wait and see how it will end up being. Don't quote me on this one but initial CFD testings indicated 600kg of downforce at 300 kph. Which might end up being more irl😊.
@@Essential_OS great design and thanks for the info. Can't wait to see it IRL.
Have to say, People are awesome! Those designs and renderings and reveal videos are amazing.
absolutely amazing design! cant wait to see that beauty on the road. keep up the fantastic work
Love to see the community helping you out! Your design looks terrific. I think you have a really good eye....or maybe we just have similar taste. 😆 Possibly it's impractical, but that movable spoiler in one of the CAD designs looked awfully darn cool. Hopefully you can incorporate it.
I like the active aero, unless you get a job, then it will add a year on to your project. Without a job, they will only take you three months!😉
Ericson Samuel's design is top. The reveal video car has weird headlights and too big vents in fenders. Overall I think the designs need smaller front bumper, it's brought too far forward and creates an overhang that does not look balanced from the side.
Wow, lots of great models!
Huge thanks for the detailed cost analysis and overall transparency! It always ends up to be more than I expect, the little things cost money, too.
Wow. That air-brakes are sick. I wish you are the best for you and for your project!
First product placement I have sat through and found completely worth
This is so chill. You should totally do it! I'm stoked to follow along
I really liked the Unity Fan design. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
And for a One Man Project this is going really well and really fast. Congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Boooom
Ians Design is awsome!
No Need for these Flaps but why not!
The Blue version is realy nice love it
Keep up the great work. Plenty of great design option to choose from, Ian clearly has some impressive automotive design chops, and did a great job of marrying Porsche's design language with your more futuristic aspirations for this project.
Damn, the new Design is stunning! Looks beautiful, I'm so excited to see how it turns out! A website from you would be great, so we can have an easy overview of all the data!
That is a very cool design. Out of curiosity, are those headlights something off the shelf, and if not, how does one go about making custom headlights?
Addressing the final comment about building a car, how do you feel about a Factory Five 818 (original gen)? And yes, I'm serious.
That final design without the active fender louvres would be so, so slick. It already looks amazing, but it could be absolutely stunning without those!
Wow. There are some seriously talented people out there. Nice work with the designs.
A perk you might be able to put on your patreon: Reviews of Equipment you used. Everything from little tools, cables, services like the place you got the bus bars from, all the way to the changing modules and motor controllers.
Gotta go with Ian’s design with active aero!!
amazing work as always, and the designs look great. also, what a great idea to start doing some projects for other people and make money from that. if i had the money and was in the states i'd be getting you to build my 4Runner hahaha. So pleaseeeee if someone ereaches out with a 4WD EV Build please do it hehehe.
Being unemployed for long periods of time is frustrating. I'm still struggling to recover from a car accident in 2019. Sometimes these unexpected events create space in our life to embark on things we never would have tried otherwise. You're discovering and developing a multitude of new talents. I'm going through something similar myself. I think sometimes God uses these experiences to help us grow.
Hi. I'm seeing you from across the pod, in Portugal. What a great work you had done, congratulations.
I really like seeing people doing this kind of project.
Unfortunately this kind of conversation are almost impossible to do in my country (Portugal 🇵🇹), first because of price (in here a Tesla motor cost around 20/25000$),and second because law and regulations, here if you put a bigger tires caps can seize you car.
Keep the good work
All the best
iian design is epic ❤
Enjoy watching your videos. The last rendering was a killer. If affordable, I would build my Porsche with that design!!!!!!! Not really sure what you did for a living, but think about starting your own business.
Love watching your stuff. If you break even and then get to sell the car, hopefully that will put you in the positive for your next project. Keep up the great work your videos are very entertaining.
I like UnityFan's designs, 4:06 for the front and 4:09-10 for the rear. I think the last design you showed the reveal for is nice, but not very practical, or approachable.... Congratulations on the finance side for being so transparent. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Well after the GT E reval Video you got to go all out!!! have some of the active areo parts mabye not 8 in total but 4 in total and the rear Wing 🙏 ✌️
It's very cool and beautiful
the reveal video design is the best. I would reconsider the headlights though
I'm not sure how sold I am on everything in Ian's model, but that active aero spoiler he has is incredible. I think it really makes it look like a sort of modern interpretation of the whale tail which really pays homage to the Porsche roots. I'm not so sure how I feel about the front end though. I just sort of feel like changing the headlights a bunch doesn't make it feel enough like a Porsche. I feel like sometimes there are alternate headlights that I think are okay, but then compared to the original, I don't feel like they are any better than what the classic Porsche headlights are.
awesome🔥
Loved the headlights on the last design. I mean, my biggest gripe with any porsche are the headlights. I would go for something more aggressive. Something that would give the overall vibe of a mk3 scirocco.
9:16, I think it would be safer to install FEMALE connector side on the battery instead of teh exposed electrified pins on the male connector right?
The plug is designed to be panel mounted like this. The other side does not have a way to mount and is meant to be rotated
I see.. probably this connector is not built for this purpose. Just be carefull with these energized exposed pins. In the past I learned the hard way when i used DB25 connector with male pins on the energized side when I simply wanted to connect both male and female together and the metal lip surrounding the female pins shorted some male pins on the battery side. This melted some wires inside And i had no idea if fire was started or not inside the battery. Fusing the BMS wires is great but you must make sure the BMS can detect bad connections to the cells otherwise if one is disconnected or fuse melted and no detecting is made, this wire become floating voltage between the two strings voltage @@ElectricSuperCar
The last car design it's so cool and modern better than to porche tycan or 911
Wow i wouldnt blame Porsche for stealing any of these designs. They look amazing
The idea of building out /restomoding for clients is a great idea. You should really push it, as your build is great.
I like the last render, however the active aero might be a little complicated. I like how RWB does fender cutouts and puts a flared cover over it. The front fenders would be sick if worked.
Active aero is totally sick. Hope you can find a paid for build. Good luck
I want to see another H1 humvee! What I would like to see (but might not be possible) is a dual motor set up, using tesla motors. Toss out all of the drivetrain up to the diffs. Put the motors on the "outside", eg: the front motor would hang forward, and the back motor would hang backward. I am hoping that the telsa drive outputs can be lined up between the breaks. Fill the transmission tunnel with battery. If this is possible, it would preserve all of the ground clearance as well as the "truckness". Note: Many states have passed laws that making getting surplus humvees on the street easer. I would literally pay you for the plans... I am not rich... but I would defenatly be at least joining the patreon for that.
Great idea i hope youll get the opportunity to continue your youtube channel
How long did it take to do the first build from research to finish? It's amazing!
@@ElectricSuperCardid you record how many hours it took for everything approximately?
Erickson Samuel made that look like a freaking magazine/professional model!! You designed that body freaking sexy!!! Porche should seriously knock on your door for aome design and electric ideas.... The various tail lights and headlights to see different designes was nice. I like the one slinder red lines on each side, but also reallh like the full width line... Maybe do a full line custom RGB LED /lens and for break likes do the sides, but foe running lights at night, full bar dim red, then reverse lights they all turn white bright so you can see backing up, and for turn, do a sequential orange line that starts in the center and goes out to thw slinder brake line. Easy to program rhat with turn signal/brake/reverse/running lights.
Omg the active aero would be crazh
The last one, Ians design by far, not like anything around, love the swoopiness and the aero. Not sure about when its opened fully but closed looks great and a bit more subtle opening of the aero should be less disruptive of the beautiful lines. I guess full on heavy breaking would be usefull. It will stand out wherever it goes.
i would love to see this making it to the road
I really enjoy that you show the cost. The images of the new designs are impressive. I would be carful of making them to complicated. Unless you are going to race the car it not really going make that much of a difference for a road car. I would be carful of making to complicated that it becomes to hard to build. KISS principle. It looks like the next step is carbon fiber. To good sources are "Street Bandito" which did a carbon fiber 240Z. Also "DarkAero" which has a lot of research on carbon fiber construction. They are designing a kit plan. It can become complicated very fast. Keep up the great work. Would be interesting if you can make this your job and if there is a demand for conversions.
I am very interested in a build please let me know how we could discuss further.
The ij design model was gorgeous and either you tube compression screwed the osbot file format or osbot sucks😊
I LOVE IANS DESIGN! looks like a mercedes amg one but with porsche style design
If you can work out the Active Aero it would make this car really standout, all other designs were cool as well.
The advertized camera seem to have great tracking capability BUT poor image quality or making a kind of fog or poor dept or focus quality.. is it me or?
Loved the design, not quite sure about long term lasting on the fenders active aero, plus, it may be a pain to figure that out, maybe go for something like the gt3rs?
We got all of that sorted out😂 we won't propose anything we can't make. Redundency and usability is key.
Very cool design but i'm not a fan of the headlight. Maybe using the Taycan's headlight as an inspiration ?
@ElectricSuperCar in fact tou already have a great design from porsche with the Porsches Mission R, an electric version of the GT3 RS
I'm with Ecite Motors, would very much like to talk with you about your idea at the end of the video. We have in the works a few "projects" you might be interested in :) One in particular will hopefully be showcased at SEMA next year.
The last design but ditch the quarter panel aero…
And the fenders should deactivate around 80mph.
I'm surprised some of these suppliers (buss-bars, cooling blocks) aren't willing to send you these parts as a sponsor.
I saw in your previous video you're possibly looking to EV convert some gas cars. I have a yellow 33 Ford street rod that i think would be a ton of fun to convert! How do i get in contact with you to send some pictures?
Wish you luck on finding a job! Just out of curiosity: what was your last job?
Not sure I understood what you’re asking . Are you asking for someone to let you do their EV conversion and your only fee is UA-cam/sponsors earnings ? I assume the cost of the parts are at car owners expense ?
I got an idea for a possible next build, what is the best way to talk to you about it?
how much are you selling this for? so i can save up now til its all done?
Can we keep Porsche shape headlight plz
If you are able to build this.. I’m
All about the active aerodynamic parts
I dont have a car unfortunately, but a Ferrari 308 GTB would be amazing!
Ian Design!!!!!!
Love the new logo for this car. 三 in Chinese means 3 so the car goes back to be a GT3 again. lol
That's E from tesla (powered by tesla motors) and yes in Chinese it's three and it looks like 3 as well, that was the entire point of this logo, the font itself is official Porsche font as well so it all comes together with electric supercars' lightning logo... 😉
Go with the active aero
Don’t go with obsbot feature heavy crappy picture & sound
Just a sponser spot to pay the bills. I think everyone can see that the funktions are fun/nice but cam quality ? Sucks ass.
Great idea to do EV conversions for other people. Pity I live in Australia!
Noice.
Gosh, there are some really talented people who worked on this, amazing stuff.
Thank you for the Shout out. It was an honor to help on the design.
Your help was awesome!
