I'm fortunate enough to have the now very expensive and out of print blu ray Prisoner box set and 6 or 7 of the excellent soundtrack cds from about 10 yrs back.....
I remember,He did say in an obscure interview in later years that the character was John Drake and pointed out the photo in the opening credits ( the one being crossed out),to clarify.
The Prisioner was a great series Allegory, SF , spy . I remember that reveal at the end of The Chimes Of Big Ben .😮😥 . Love the collectors book . Love all the card . Love the vehicle . Cogi ever did any ? . I was almost expecting to see a model of the Balloon 😂😂. As always great show gents . Looking for to our next carded encounter .Thank you .
The so called Danger Man precursor episode of the Prisoner was called, I think, Colony three. In the show the new town of ''Hamden'' was referred to as the ''Village'' but instead of being in Russia it was actually located in a suburb of Hatfield. If you want to visit, I suggest you be quick. As it looks to be disappearing rather quickly on Google earth.
Fun! And having been through John Buss' collection in person, I can vouch that it's stupendous and museum-worthy! Glad to see the flip-through of one of his books. -Jason (Spy Vibe)
At 9m 50 you pointed out Wanda Ventham - who of course is also Benedict Cumberbatch's Mum :-) NOTE: Could see Benedict Cumberbatch in the role of 'The Prisoner' if ever it was remade or a movie.
@@JulesBurt McGoohan never officially acknowledged this as far as I know, though co-creator George Markstein did consider the series was a direct sequel to Danger Man - he was story editor on the last two episodes of that series.

Thanks Jason, I bet that's quite a sight to behold👍
Makes me think that McGoohan in Danger Man inspired Lee Falk's Phantom.
Hmmm, I don't know, which came first?
Hi Jules, not sure but I know Falk in an interview about the 1996 Phantom movie hinted that McGoohan was the ideal lead for his character.
Right, I can see that 👍
At 9m 50 you pointed out Wanda Ventham - who of course is also Benedict Cumberbatch's Mum :-) NOTE: Could see Benedict Cumberbatch in the role of 'The Prisoner' if ever it was remade or a movie.
You're right, he would make a good number six👍
IN 1988 USE TO BE A MEMBER OF THE PRISONER USE TO BE MY FAVORITE PROGRAM I ALSO BOUGHT THE VHS COLLECTION BE SEING YOU NO 6.
Thanks Ray 👍
Did PM ever say officially that Danger Man was a prequel to The Prisoner??? That would be amazing if true
A really don't know, I'm sure Andy will let us know 👍

@chrisbuchaniec3765 ☝️ Thanks Andy
There is actually a Danger Man episode that foreshadows The Prisoner
I believe it's halfway thru....i won't spoil it for you
I'm aware of the one, wasn't it filmed in Portmerion?
Loved the series, but WTF was that last episode about? It was bonkers!
A perfect end to the series 🙂
