Super Junior is THAT group that has done it all. Last year they celebrated 15 years of career with a total of more than 800 songs in their discography. They were the first in many things and having tried so many things in their music is not enough, they still do things that no other group can do, just watch their latest single.
SJ has a lot of bangers I personally think their recent ones would be the ones you would consider a slapper like "I think I", "House Party", "Black Suit" etc. SJ are literal Legends for being in the game this long and still put out banger music
Super Junior is not the oldest, but one of them. Shinhwa, which is part of the first generation of Kpop, (Super Junior is second gen.) debuted in 1998 as a 6 member boy group originally under SM, and they are actually still together after 23 years and they still produce songs and perform. Shinhwa even holds the distinction for the fact that they still have all their original members. And TVXQ who is also an SM group debuted in 2003 -- two years before Super Junior -- and they are still as active and popular as Super Junior. (I am sure there are others, but those are the two I can think of right off the top of my head. :D So, yes Super Juniors are one of the industry seniors, but they aren't even the oldest group in their company.

Tvxq and Shinhwa haven't been active as a group for a while and it basically means Suju are the longest running ACTIVE kpop group, therefore the name "last men standing". And fyi, being active as soloists doesn't mean the group itself is considered active. For example Block B members have had a few releases in the past 2 years but the group itself haven't been active since 2017 (their last release as a group was don't leave). Another group is exo, pretty much every exol agrees that the main group is inactive atm although the members have had solo activities.
Super junior is one of the most versatile groups out there who have been in this industry for 15 years and still going strong. They never afraid of trying new concepts and genres. Thank you for reacting to this MV. Zico (former member of Block B) composed and wrote 2ya2yao. According to the news articles about 2ya2yao, hiphop is a genre that Super Junior has not tried before. So for their 15th anniversary they came out with this in a repackaged album (Timeless) and this is the carrier single. From what I understand from the lyrics, SuJu is saying that they are still relevant in the Kpop scene. That there is still more that they can do. That they are still young and they can still mix it up and show everyone a good time.
I wouldn't say that. If u think about it, we are already in the 4th generation. We don't even see most of the 3rd generation anymore. But Suju is still there selling albums, topping charts along with the new generation (and that's why a lot of new gen fans don't like them). And they are considered Legends. So they're not underated, it's just not their generation

The guy singing at 3:29 is the youngest SuJu member, Kyuhyun. He's been rated as the best k-pop vocalist active now by a few vocal/music experts. The big(ger) guy at 3:43 is Shindong whose known for his dancing skills. New SM trainees are required to learn from his pre-debut dance videos. Not only is he a great dancer, Shindong is an established videographer, comedian, choreographer, variety show host, etc. This may sound a bit harsh but SM is known for being really picky. SM artists are known for their great visuals. SM has no problem telling really talented, potential trainees to come back after losing weight to fit the SM look. "2Ya2Yao" was a collaboration between SJ and Zico, who is a solo hip-hop artist and producer, as well as a member of the Kpop boy group Block B. Zico produced this song, and Eunhyuk and Shindong -- members of Super Junior -- directed and produced the MV. Shindong has his own video production company and he is quickly becoming well known for his directing and video editing skills. Both Eunhyuk and Shindong are rappers, dancers and singers of SuJu. And as the main dancer Eunhyuk choreographed or helped choreograph the dance. Eunhyuk and Shindong are also often the ones that produce Super Junior's concerts. You see their member, Heechul in the "2Ya2Yao" MV, but he didn't have any lines in the song and he wasn't dancing. Heechul is one of the oldest members of Super Junior, and because he is no longer able to travel on long flights overseas, for this comeback he chose to not be included on this track. He did this so that when the rest of the members go overseas and want to perform this song in concert, etc. they won't have to learn all new parts to cover his parts of the song. Heechul really loves his members and he knows how hard it is when you have to learn a whole new lineup and blocking, etc. every time one of the members is not there. So, he chose to bow out of singing or anything on this track to make promotions for the rest of the members easier. In the last few years, Heechul's role in SJs MVs and performances has gotten smaller because of some medical issues he has been going through. Early in his career he shattered his leg in a car accident in 2006, about a year after debut, and had to have major surgery where they had to put several pins and metal rods in his leg. He has had to deal with a lot of pain over the years, especially when he dances, because of this. However, for most of his career he was able to overcome the pain and just power through as he performed with the group. But as he has gotten older the pain has gotten worse and he is constantly worried about dragging the rest of the group down because he struggles to keep up with everyone in their dances. Which is kind of sad, because if you know Heechul, you know he is a dancing machine and he absolutely loves to dance and be the center of attention. Heechul is pretty much obsessed with being a performer and he knows the song and dance for almost any Kpop artist or group, both boy groups and girl groups, that have been in existence since Kpop's conception. But, now that he is 37 years old, he has decided that what is best for the group is if he just sits out any of their live comeback performances where they perform their choreography -- and even their most recent concert tour. However, he still participates in as many of Super Junior's things as he can and the members make sure to include him in as much as possible.. Over the years Super Junior has come up with ways to include Heechul in everything they do, often by highlighting his other talents, such as making him the guitar player in "Lo Siento" or having him play the drums during concert performances of "Don't Don" or giving him the rap sections in their songs so he can come out halfway through the performance and deliver his lines and only have to dance for a short time or not have to dance at all. Heechul loves being a part of Super Junior and I think he will be one of the last people to ever consider leaving the group. But it breaks my heart that these health issues have made it almost impossible for him to do what he loves to do the most, which is being on stage performing with the rest of the members. Heechul really lives for the stage.

Unless you are a linguist that can explain it better, I wouldn't say "it's def. not pronounced as A." I hear distinct similarities to the A sound when I hear the title. You might not agree, but that is what I hear. If you think you can explain it better, go ahead.
@@milindawilson9175 the letter A sounds like ay. In Korean the number 2 is either 이 (ee) or 둘(dul), and the one chosen depends on context of whats being counted. If you're going to share pronunciations to english speakers at least make sure your info is correct. Of course, instructions will always need to vary depending on what the native language or the learner is. For example in spanish the letter i is pronounced the same as the Korean letter i (이), but in English its our letter E.
@@TheStoweaway I wasn't saying 2 is like the letter A. I was saying the sound of the pronunciation of 2 sounds sort of like how sometimes we pronounce the A sound in some English words. A also sounds like aa as in the word back, so combined with the rest of the title aya is the sound I hear. This isn't a technical definition, it's an explanation of the sound that is heard.

SUBSCRIBED! I have a feeling you'll like "Sorry, Sorry Answer" which features Super Junior's (SuJu) vocal line which is considered the best vocal line from the 2nd generation of k-pop. SuJu is huge in South America. I don't know if you've noticed but the groups with the best vocals are from SM Entertainment. SM boy groups include EXO, Shinee, NCT and TVXQ. SM artists are especially known for their good looks and vocals. SM's got a certain style and look that's recognizable as a SM group when you see a them i.e. certain face types, vocals, etc. SM artists are trained not only as singers, dancers, rappers. They are also trained to do variety, MC shows, act, etc. You get the whole package with SM. Probably one of the reasons why SM groups last is because they're famous for more than just singing. LOL SuJu is EXO's older brothers, so to speak.
The other huge 2nd generation group is TVXQ. TVXQ trained with the SuJu members. This is the group that opened the doors in Japan for k-pop groups. SHINHWA is a 1st generation group from SM but left as a group to start their own company after their SM contract expired. SHINHWA is still active and are the oldest boy group and have never lost or replaced a member. I'm surprised that you guys haven't reacted to EXO's "Growl". This is the song that shot EXO to super stardom. The song is considered Korea's unofficial anthem because everyone knows the words and dance. The MV was the first one-shot music video in k-pop. It used to be joked in Korea that if you don't know "Growl", you were possibly a spy from North Korea. LOL Actually, the song was so popular that even North Korea knew it. These guys are just awesome. They they every genre. There are some of their songs you may not like the first few times of listening but then suddenly you can't stop humming them (especially the earlier ones). People have recommended some of the ones I like already but also try Islands, Midnight Blues, Evanesce (but listen to This Is Love first).
Should I point out that you reacted to Sorry, Sorry which is iconic and great. However, you didn't completely love it. Therefore, I recommend "Sorry, Sorry - Answer" which is similar lyric wise but much slower. I'm sure you'd literally love that one.

So yes, they have plenty of songs to check out, as well as numerous live performances and concert footage. I guarantee that Super Junior has done pretty much every type of music in their career -- from hard core rock with songs like "Don't Don" to cute and funny like "Cooking Cooking" by Super Junior-H. Whatever style you are in the mood for, you can find a SuJu song that fits that genre.
As SM artists it's no surprise that Super Junior are all good at singing and dancing. And their rappers can actually give any main vocalist a run of their money.
There were 9 members in "2Ya2Yao", but you may have noticed that there were only 8 people shown in the dance. You see their member, Heechul in the "2Ya2Yao" MV, but he didn't have any lines in the song and he wasn't dancing. Heechul is one of the oldest members of Super Junior, and because he is no longer able to travel on long flights overseas, for this comeback he chose to not be included on this track. He did this so that when the rest of the members go overseas and want to perform this song in concert, etc. they won't have to learn all new parts to cover his parts of the song. Heechul really loves his members and he knows how hard it is when you have to learn a whole new lineup and blocking, etc. every time one of the members is not there. So, he chose to bow out of singing or anything on this track to make promotions for the rest of the members easier.
In the last few years, Heechul's role in SJs MVs and performances has gotten smaller because of some medical issues he has been going through. Early in his career he shattered his leg in a car accident in 2006, about a year after debut, and had to have major surgery where they had to put several pins and metal rods in his leg. He has had to deal with a lot of pain over the years, especially when he dances, because of this. However, for most of his career he was able to overcome the pain and just power through as he performed with the group. But as he has gotten older the pain has gotten worse and he is constantly worried about dragging the rest of the group down because he struggles to keep up with everyone in their dances.
Which is kind of sad, because if you know Heechul, you know he is a dancing machine and he absolutely loves to dance and be the center of attention. Heechul is pretty much obsessed with being a performer and he knows the song and dance for almost any Kpop artist or group, both boy groups and girl groups, that have been in existence since Kpop's conception. But, now that he is 37 years old, he has decided that what is best for the group is if he just sits out any of their live comeback performances where they perform their choreography -- and even their most recent concert tour. However, he still participates in as many of Super Junior's things as he can and the members make sure to include him in as much as possible..
Over the years Super Junior has come up with ways to include Heechul in everything they do, often by highlighting his other talents, such as making him the guitar player in "Lo Siento" or having him play the drums during concert performances of "Don't Don" or giving him the rap sections in their songs so he can come out halfway through the performance and deliver his lines and only have to dance for a short time or not have to dance at all. Heechul loves being a part of Super Junior and I think he will be one of the last people to ever consider leaving the group. But it breaks my heart that these health issues have made it almost impossible for him to do what he loves to do the most, which is being on stage performing with the rest of the members. Heechul really lives for the stage.

@@TheStoweaway I'm fully aware they say the title in the song several times. I have listened to this song dozens of times!!! In English A sometimes makes the ee sound. Unless you are a linguist that can explain it better, I wouldn't say "it's def. not pronounced as A." I hear distinct similarities to the A sound when I hear the title. You might not agree, but that is what I hear. If you think you can explain it better, go ahead.
@@milindawilson9175 the letter A sounds like ay. In Korean the number 2 is either 이 (ee) or 둘(dul), and the one chosen depends on context of whats being counted. If you're going to share pronunciations to english speakers at least make sure your info is correct.
Of course, instructions will always need to vary depending on what the native language or the learner is. For example in spanish the letter i is pronounced the same as the Korean letter i (이), but in English its our letter E.
@@TheStoweaway I wasn't saying 2 is like the letter A. I was saying the sound of the pronunciation of 2 sounds sort of like how sometimes we pronounce the A sound in some English words. A also sounds like aa as in the word back, so combined with the rest of the title aya is the sound I hear. This isn't a technical definition, it's an explanation of the sound that is heard.
@Milinda Wilson Well first I never said you did. Second you stated "The No.2 in Korean is pronounced like ee or A". that reads as ay... like in day or same. But the letter can be pronounced in a ridiculous amount of ways. 😅 (law, hat, across, lame, all have different A sounds).

SUBSCRIBED! I have a feeling you'll like "Sorry, Sorry Answer" which features Super Junior's (SuJu) vocal line which is considered the best vocal line from the 2nd generation of k-pop. SuJu is huge in South America. I don't know if you've noticed but the groups with the best vocals are from SM Entertainment. SM boy groups include EXO, Shinee, NCT and TVXQ. SM artists are especially known for their good looks and vocals. SM's got a certain style and look that's recognizable as a SM group when you see a them i.e. certain face types, vocals, etc. SM artists are trained not only as singers, dancers, rappers. They are also trained to do variety, MC shows, act, etc. You get the whole package with SM. Probably one of the reasons why SM groups last is because they're famous for more than just singing. LOL SuJu is EXO's older brothers, so to speak.
The other huge 2nd generation group is TVXQ. TVXQ trained with the SuJu members. This is the group that opened the doors in Japan for k-pop groups. SHINHWA is a 1st generation group from SM but left as a group to start their own company after their SM contract expired. SHINHWA is still active and are the oldest boy group and have never lost or replaced a member.
I'm surprised that you guys haven't reacted to EXO's "Growl". This is the song that shot EXO to super stardom. The song is considered Korea's unofficial anthem because everyone knows the words and dance. The MV was the first one-shot music video in k-pop. It used to be joked in Korea that if you don't know "Growl", you were possibly a spy from North Korea. LOL Actually, the song was so popular that even North Korea knew it. EXO performed "Growl" at the Closing Ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics.

These guys are just awesome. They they every genre. There are some of their songs you may not like the first few times of listening but then suddenly you can't stop humming them (especially the earlier ones).
