If you cannot spell "scratches" correctly, I don't believe that you should be criticizing this masterpiece of a movie.
+GracefulKitty beans Precisely what I was thinking.
Glad to see I'm not alone.
*hahaha*
actually it's spelled Timon
Maybe it was just a TYPO.
Keep in mind that except for the stampede, everything was hand drawn. That makes a massive difference.
@SirTabbycat yeah it was a computer
The eye colors depend on what time of day it is and how focused they are
exactly at least someone gets it
ikr
Thank you
+Caitlin McCann ya

These *mistakes* are really far fetched... and some of them are absolutely wrong. Seriously? lol
At 4:06 and the picture they are using, Scar's pose, I like it
U forgot a mistake, Simba clawed Shenzi but when Shenzi turns her head the claw marks were gone
I don't see one mistake in this movie... except the video itself!
+Chestosneako Inc ROASTED
+Clay McMullen and lightly toasted
but how about the really obvious mistake when simba make a mark on one of the hyenas and later it gone!
the vid isnt in the movie
Still #1 Disney movie ever
Yeahhh
That’s facts!
I think there are Better movies 😂
On the front cover scar looks like he is jumping at you for a hug LOL
The second one isn't a mistake, his forhead is meant to be pink, because it shows where Rafikki marked Simba's head with that stuff from the coconut and where he poured the sand on him after.
Bellamy Blake but later on the pink disappears, which was the mistake.
Sorry abput that, I got mixed up with it so you are right. My Mistake :~)
No it's like paint it dries and becomes the same color
Bellamy Blake hbhhhhhhhy
Lol do you watch the 100?
Lions eyes change colors of their pupils throughout the years and the white part turns yellow depending on reflection
Now its missing its color (like Michael Jackson) Really?? t-.-t 0:45
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I didn't get that one
@@SteampunkHorse cuz hes so white
I'm a big mj fan and I didn't get that one sentence.
IKR? That was the lamest part!
The thing about the eyes? Come on, they might look a different color in the dark.
Exactly, like Green looks blue in the dark, and white looks yellow in the light. :P
I actually got highly annoyed tonight when ... at an official disney site (which had one of those quiz things) ... it asked what color Nala's eyes are, and what color choice isn't freakin listed??? Green or any variation thereof. Obviously, blue was the answer they were looking for, but frankly ... just about every Nala plush out there has the emerald green eyes. Most of the fans I've met and/or talked with also agree there. Finally, a rather detailed analysis of this is seen here: nala.ru/nalas_eyes.htm by an extremely talented Russian artist I met online a decade ago now.
Sorry, don't usually get this annoyed over something like this, but it just rubbed me the wrong way when an official disney sanctioned quiz got it wrong.
Adarious Mistdancer
um actually if you watch the whole movie Nala's eyes are blue, the only time you see them green is in that small shot because of the yellow grass that is around her making her eyes look green when they are really blue.
probably because lions are bioluminescent 😐😐😐😐
Socks, shoes, and hats yeah but both times it was night
I wouldn't judge a movie by its mistakes
IKR plus it's small mistakes y ppl make a big deal
+FσxყKιɳȥ :3 I watched the lion king and I didn't spot the mistakes
Kelsey wessels ikr
Wow... Why do you even care about these mistakes? Here are some examples of mistakes by the maker of the video, not the movie -
1. Nala's eyes were green the whole time.
2. He's a baboon
3. The scratches weren't there because there was a while between the two times the tree showed
4. You don't realize how hard animating is, you shouldn't she saying they got "lazy"'
Indeed
Rafiki is a mandrill
People do these videos for fun OK why do u need to be so rude🤦♀️
Nala's eyes are blue-green aka TEAL. Meaning a mix of blue and green jsut like her mother Sarafina's eyes.
@@LisaTigressHardy my guy i commented this 5 years ago
the only mistake that should've been pointed out is where Simba talks to his father's ghost in the clouds and his eye color changes from yellow to white and then back to yellow again
It's because of light
out of all the mistakes there was one that was a true mistake (eyes green then blue)
the rest was shading and artistic perception needed to keep the viewer focused on a particular character. Yellow whites of eyes is daytime and white at night shows the lack of light. Plus it adds to mood of character. I recon if these so called 'mistakes' were fixed the film would look worse.
actually the green then blue eyes was also lighting, apparently
Yip it's only the light
3:01
Simba looks as confused as I am 😂
I've noticed how you mentioned Nala's eyes turning from green to blue. Green the background is lighter making it easier to find but blue, the rooms darker so her eyes get darker. Eyes just don't glow in the dark and if you're mistaking for a house cats glowing eyes, it's actually the light from the camera causing the eyes to glow. So that eye "mistake" is not a mistake at all.
plus, when we grow, our eye color can change, that probably goes for animals too, they mightve included that
the only mistake I see is this video
Dat dark
Toochi-Panda Your forgeting yourself
@@franciosifunhouse6125 and you aswell
Exactly.
nee broo😂😂😂 right
Mufasa is holding the grass😂
0:53 the color of the animal pelt changes when Simba and Nala climb it. No one else noticed that?
All of these were really far fetched
First of all, timon has the ability to step aside from a LION he is now making fun of, for obvious reasons
Second, timon is able to move his hands
Third, simba has the ability to change his face expression
Fourth, eyes depend on the light and time of day
Fifth, the scratches on the tree were clearly blocked by simbas tail
Sixth, simba was still there in the bird scene, timon and pumba stayed away from him because I doubt they would want to beat up a lion cub
Seventh, the animator gave rafiki the tail on purpose
Eighth, the pink could've faded
Ninth, simba was standing on the rocks in the hyena scene
Tenth, the reflection depends on the height of the bank/ rocks
I'M CALLING BULLSHIT
I think only the Rafiki's tail thing is a "true" mistake. The other ones aren't mistakes or they are simply TOO insignificant to be considered mistakes : /
1 - Rafiki's tail. OK.
2 - Seriously? C'mon, dude. The cub drawing is a *background*. And Rafiki (who is not) is finishing it so it makes totally impossible to create the exact same colors. It is supposed the expectator understands that he's drawing the cub and that one is the final stroke. That's why you can't see it in the second picture: because the drawing is another *background* and now it is complete.
3 - Lazy no. Just and absurd detail : /
4 - This makes no sense, you can't see the scratches because you are looking the branch from the *other* side or even because Simba is covering it. Someone even can say that his head was close to the branch's end in the begining and now it is not but he may have moved so it isn't weird.
5 - Right side out of the screen. And you can see it later.
6 - Timon strange missing - Ok
7 - He moved his hands. It isn't weird.
8 - Simply... NO XD too blurry.
9 - In fact, this happens more than one time, so OK.
10 - Weird but just like the pebbles in 3. Absurd detail.
11 - It is called "luminosity" she was in a bright sunny place on the first picture and then she is in a JUNGLE at night. Her eyes haven't changed color.
12 - Uh... he simply opened his mouth in the next second (In fact, people open their mouth when they are looking up) He is not scared, he is frown and waiting
Additional mistakes in movie:
Mufasa is older than Scar, but the latter has darker mane (older lions have darker hair).
Whiskers disappear and reappear between shots. Lionesses also have whiskers in real life.
A hyena having four toes on one paw when usually shown with three.
Scar's paw pads changing between separate palm-and-finger parts to one solid part. He also has half the number of incisors in a typical lion (at 4:07).
Like with Finding Nemo's whale, only HUMANS have uvulae. (2:02, 3:49, 4:07 again)
sakuraslicer19 Not to mention that prides are generally made up of related females: grandmothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, nieces, etc. Which would suggest that Nala is Simba's cousin, and half-sister as only the pride's dominant male can mate with the lionesses. Which is why in prides the male offspring are driven off once they begin to mature, so not to inbreed; however this is just a film whose storyline loosely resembles Hamlet so I'm not going to nitpick too much on reality vs fantasy; I love The Lion King far too much. =)
Sydney Barrett Or, Nala was sired from a previous lion whose pride was dominated by Mufasa's, meaning...oh my. Mufasa might be no better than his brother!
PS I love Lion King, too! :D
sakuraslicer19 going by pride life, the male who has won the right to breed with the females kill all viable cubs in order to bring the females into estrus and breed, thus furthering his genes for another generation -or several- until the cycle resumes and he's challenged/defeated by a younger male. It's possible that a pregnant female prior to the change of crown could squeak her cub(s) sired from the former lion, but that's a very small window of probable possiblity; however, since we're discussing the context of the animated film, they being close in age, it's rather unlikely. Also unlikely they'd be betrothed, as Simba would be sent away from the pride along with the other adolescent males when they reach sexual maturity; rogue males pack together for years until they challenge and win a pride from an older male. As for Nala, she would remain with the pride and reproduce with the dominant male at the time and would be related either as cousins (this is presuming she was a 'hidden' pregnancy), or half siblings presuming Mufasa sired both (there didn't seem to be any other adult males in the pride, so Nala was either sired by a previous lion whom lost the pride to two rogue lions, but wasn't alive when cubs we're killed so that they might breed with the lions; she was sired by Scar, but related to the lionesses which makes her a first cousin; fathered by Mufasa thus sharing genes and making her a half sister, marginally. :) However, it's a fantasy Disney animation, and through the power of artistic license, these little facts based on pride life were omitted for the sake of story building. In real pride life the darker maned male is preferred by females, because the colouration signify high testosterone which impresses females; it goes a long way towards strength of sired genes - ergo, Scar would've been king of the pride, not mufasa unless both brothers battled amongst themselves, forcing Scar to be Mufasa's submissive (which is highly likely) :) But as I've pointed out, as well as many others, this is just a film meant for entertainment. I originally made comment to further assist the postee's ideas of what he perceived as major errors. E.g., I could go on for hours comparing the differences between Disney Claude Frollo vs Victor Hugo's novel, but it would be moot because it'll boomerang back to the same dialog found here: artistic license - plus they required a villain (in both aforementioned Disney adaptations) and the true ones depicted in the novel we're more engaging as friendly and flamboyant, thus turning the piece to something more at home in a Dark Knight story, lol. But I digress; that's another insightful post for another time, elsewhere. Keeping on topic: So, yes, let us enjoy the piece as it is, and the entertainment value(s) it is meant to offer us. What I said was more along the lines of following reality... but then, I suppose, it wouldn' have been so well received by consumers, since the fact lions cannot speak English (nor the proper human dialect for the area of Africa the film takes place... human tongue for that matter). :)
Sydney Barrett Plus, there could have been the nature versus society theme like in The Fox and the Hound if the reality of the species were applied. All the same, Lion King is a great movie on its own merits, and is certainly the zenith of the Disney Renaissance.
Raffiki is actually a baboon. ( he says it himself in the movie) in a documentary called "The Making Of The Lion King" the animater who created raffiki said that raffiki was a baboon with a long tail. Plus all these mistakes are tiny and some aren't even mistakes like when raffiki put the paint stuff on the drawing of simba. Its called shading.
He was meant to be a mandrill what baboon looks like that
But that doesn't mean raffiki can be different to other mandrills and have a longer tail
He's a mandrill
ok so they made a few errors so what? you think it's easy to create a movie as amazing as lion king? no. it's a lot harder than sitting on your butt and pointing out other people's mistakes.
Camilla Johansson well, the thing is, these “mistakes” don’t affect the movie at all. It’s still a masterpiece and one of my favorite movies.
Have you ever heard of something called "video for fun"???
I noticed one MASSIVE MISTAKE:ANIMALS CANT TALK
IKR
Forgot that Scar's paws becomes fullcolored like in the scene when he say "I'm surrounded by idiots"
General Heavy I think that is your movie that has a defect because mine doesn’t..
you missed one! the part at the elephant graveyard were simba scratchs the hyena on her cheek.
Dude he made 2 of these that was on the other video 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑
You forgot one mastake the bath scene were nala and simba take a bath .How did simba's mom reach that far?
0:52 You missed the real error in that scene. Right before Simba jumps onto the elephant flesh or whatever it is, the color darkens a bit. This is a small mistake the animators didn't get to fix
In the added scene in the special edition (morning report) simba doesn't have whiskers
No offense but u ruined my childhood now
I agree😑
Amber Bratherton idk
Correction why did u watch it then*
Good.
Ur crazy you punk
I wouldn't say the animator's got lazy, but still a good video. (:
They did with the lionesses lionesses originally have whiskers and they couldn't be assed to add whiskers to them
I thought they were gonna focus on the movie plot points but no its the little mistakes the artists made 😐
Shame
Half of these aren't legit errors... :/ Just because something small like scratches on a branch don't reappear, doesn't mean it's an error. And the fact that Timon and Simba don't appear in a few shots means that the characters are out of the picture, like to left, right, etc. Not good at all. Dislike.
Agreed!
You have 107 dislikes but we have 455 likes so... Shut up
all of u are being little kids so.. pls end the conversation. *Does it really matter how many likes people get?And just saying i respect all of ur opinions just stop arguing about the most stupidest things.*
StarWolf Studios Thank you!
No prob :)
The main reason for most of the mistakes is because half the film was done in the artists houses when a hurricane damaged the studio
Earthquake damage
Ah my fave Disney movie. Love the lion king. Funny mistakes. Would of never noticed.
Same here
Did he get LION CONTACTS?! 😂😂😂
With the "Timon isn't next to Simba in the desert scene", it's fairly plausible that he simply wasn't in frame due to his short height.
You forgot a major error.
When the hyenas are chasing Nala and Simba, Simba scratches Shenzi's face and it clearly shows how visible the 3 marks are, in the next scene and in the rest of the movie, the marks are completely gone.
Ugh. So nitpicky. It's a kid's movie. Kids don't notice that stuff, or if they do, they don't care!
We're both smart people. So why don't we both stop acting like children about this, hm?
And I'm also saying the facts, Everyone and Everything will get criticism, you are just to blind to notice that nothing will stop that.
Cali Wright
Alrighty, How about we just stop here, Since both of our views on the matter will forever be different, deal?
Twisty The Twisted Deal. And, trying to be a mature adult here, I'm sorry. I do recognize your points.
Our little debate means that we both have strong personalities, right?
They used dog barks for the hyenas lol
Fun fact hyenas are more related to cats
The Force is with the grass LOL
To every action, there is an equal, but opposite reaction 😂
why dosent this guy have like wayyy more subscribers, all of these vids are so fun to watch.
Rafiki is a shaman. He can have a long tail, make pink disappear, and tell grass to say. XD
I saw a mistake that you forgot I rewatched the movie and at the part where simba starts to cry when mufasa lights up his eyes flicker from white to yellow. Did anyone else see this?
there's another mistake you missed. when nala is trying to climb the bones. simba scratches one of the hyenas. later the scratch mark is gone.
I noticed everything on this list except the eyes. HOW did i miss that!!!
Ok Ik that the lion king mad some mistakes but you don’t have to point then all out
there is another one i just found recently ...when mufasa roars just before saying to scar "is that a challenge?!" the roar is still going while he starts speaking!! quiet amazing to think that the creators of the scene never noticed that!
Something called an echo dude. If you hadn't noticed, they were in a cave like structure which could maybe produce an echo.
i know how echo sounds my friend...(being a musician) it doesnt sound like it..plus there is not even a hint of an echo when they talk....it just sounds weird.
2:59 they change colour when it is dark, thats why when he sees mufasa in the clouds and the light shines down they go yellow.
@2:38 Oh yeah... heh.. They overlayed the reflection onto the rock above the one he's actually standing on.
best part is these mistakes are so minor that they don't even ruin the film
Yeah the color was missing because it came from a plant and it was only for that moment he doesn't have it on his head anymore in real life.
1:17 "scratchs"
You do realize that this was animated by hand using paints. The animators couldn't get a the same color every time so there are color mistakes. Anyone notice like in Bambi that his hair color would change sometimes? Or Thumper got a lighter or darker shade of grey in some shots? Thats because it was animated like this movie. So of course Nala's eye color would change. Do some research about the movie and its animation style before you make this kind of video please.
In 3:35 the maker of this video made a mistake themselves..... they said "how is holding the other side of the grass", instead they should of said "who is holding the other side of the grass". Lol
+Jalan Beauty True, but it is "should have" not "should of".
All I have to say is that not all animated movies are perfect but I'm sure we all still love them. ^-^ And believe me when I say I don't dislike your videos.
Oh and the advertisement was really cool!! I was about to skip it but it caught my attention! Lol! Dominos!!!
you cant really pic of the position movements and facial changes between camera changes and call them mistakes, it just shows movement between that screen shift in that moment
Just because if there's little mistakes in a movie, doesn't mean it ruins it completely.
It's really cool, you rock, you should have more than million subscribers, I. Gonna subscribe and like the ALL vidoes
U should have just called this episode "every time something mysteriously disappeared or was different moments later in the lion king"
"[like michael jackson]" LOL
anyone notice how he didn't mention anything about the yellow eyes being back in 4:08
1:06 that's mean
The Nala eye thing: THEYRE STILL GREEN, ITS JUST THE DIM LIGHT!
Fun fact: The guy singing 'Be Prepared' in this film; he blew out his voice near the end of the song, and the voice actor of Ed jumped in and sang the rest.
0:44 that is racist what it said
3:03 maybe only at night
1:51-Video:
What! Where did he go? I'm confused!
Me: Well, that's a hard one. Maybe he...ran away?
Stupid guess, right?
Yes. I've noticed they eye thing my whole life
You have missed a mistake.
When Zazu has been prison. The cell is so small, and in a other scene, the cell is so big when Scar demands his orders. Zazu looks smaller than the cell.. After he comes up again for the hyenas, the prison is small again.
Ha. "Notice how the color is missing [Like Michael Jackson]" Lolz
You've forgot one.. When Scat hits to Sarabi (Simba's mother) Simba had closed mouth but his shadow has it with open mouth
Your own spelling mistakes are greater than the mistakes of the movie.
At 0:53 there is a color pop on the elefant skin were it goes from a lighter color to a darker color
the music makes it that much more enjoyable. X3
and timon is short, hes not gonna be in that bit of the scene. What is he, 5"3??
4:08 uh, maybe his teeth became unclenched because, you know, Scar was hurdling towards him with his claws out.
YEESSSSSSS,
I KNEW IT WAS WRONG FOR CHANGING NALA'S EYE COLOR! XD
I just watched the commentary of the movie short time ago and the directors said that that scene with close up shot of Simba's face (4:09) was one of the last things they added in the movie, cause they felt that scene was missing something...so that kind of explains that why he has different experession in the next shot.
2:42 one more mistake, where did Simba's tail go?
It is cool how you can spot these mistakes, but the story is what counts for the makers/viewers of the movie.
I actually already noticed pretty much all these mistakes because I've watched the movie countless times I kinda picked them up.
Ryjel Destiny but rafki is a babbon
You forgot that scene where simba looks up from the water and mufasa is in the sky and shit. The water disappeared...
for the part with the left side of grass at 3:34, no one is supposed to be holding that side, because they're showing it from the opposite angle. and remember that rafiki is kind of like a magician. AND it's simba, not mufasa..
Well, show me one thing in this entire universe that is 100% perfect :/
Um, you got some of these mistakes wrong. Nala's hazel eyes aren't a mistake: her GREEN ones are.
UPSETTING! I LOVE THIS MOVIE NOW YOU RUINED IT FOR ME!
He just pointed out the mistakes in the film, geez...
I got week when you said the color is missing like Michael Jackson😂😂😂😂😂👌
(Don't say first... Don't say first...) Ooh hey! Lion King!
wow this is a lot of lecturing when @ 3:35 you say "How is holding this side? Mufasa?! Maybe." When it should say "Who" not "How"
Wow i watched lion king so many times and i did not recognize any of those.
when scar conducts that quick trial for Simba upon his return, and he's confronting him while they move to the tip of the pride rock, at first they are headed downwards, but when Simba finally slips off the edge, the rock is suddenly facing upwards. come on guys thats the most obvious one.
you made a mistake at the time 3:33 you said how is holding this side? when it should have been who is holding this side?
you missed a mistake, at one point in the movie Mufasa roars and even after his mouth is closed and he begins his next line you can still hear the roar.
Give them a break, it was made in the 90's
2:33 There's another mistake there: In the reflection, where are the plants/background behind Simba?
frozen
Omg I never knew these mistakes were in this movie!😂 And btw the part when Rafiki pushed away the grass u were supposed to say who then how😋
