As a 70’s kid. My first team was the Steelers. In 76’, I became a Raider fan. I was 5yrs old then. I’ve been down with the Raiders ever since. Jack Tatum looked like my uncles, and John Madden looked like the butcher down the block. AL looked like a mob boss. And they played like gangsters. There was only three teams that mattered. The Raiders, The Steelers and The cowboys. I was very spoiled as a young Raider Fan 3 Superbowls in 7 years. And the last 40 have been hard. But the lifestyle of RAIDERNATION goes beyond the games. I’m gonna be honest I had never even heard of AP until he become the intern HC of the Raiders. I know a lot of players on the Raiders supported and went to the front office and said they wanted him as their next HC. That says a lot of what kind of person he is and what kind of coach he is. Now seeing this interview I absolutely love this guy and have a huge amount of respect for him. He’s going to be a winner as a Raider HC. He’ll have the Raiders back on top soon. It meant so much to me to see Antonio get emotional while talking about his mom, and finding out that she was his best friend. My mom passed away a month ago, so I know what AP means when he's had those moments of asking, "Where she at?". My mom was the person I was closest to besides myself, and to not be able to call her, tell her things and hear her voice or get a text back anymore... I still call out to her sometimes, wishing that she would appear and could comfort me. I was already a supporter of Coach Pierce, but I connect with him as someone who had a close relationship with their mom and doesn't have any siblings to lean on. Thank you for not holding back the tears, AP. I needed to see that losing your mom is even hard for a tough, man's-man like him. Some people don't get how tough it is, but this just reassures me that it's normal to still get emotional about it.

I've been a Raider fan since I was 7 years old. That was back in 1972. Over the last 52 years, I have seen them win championships and stink up the league. I was 18 the last time they won the SuperBowl. AP has me fired up for what's to come!! He is going to bring back the mystique, and the Raiders will be Champions again!!

As an Eagles and Steelers fan, this is heartwarming to see. Especially considering that I use to play Madden with all of these gentlemen being in the actual games. I will keep an eye out for the Raiders next year for Pierce (and Crosby and the rest of the team). I like the way they played down the stretch this year, just need a QB to tie things together.

Ive been a life long Raiders fan, also grew up repping the starter jackets, loving the Silver and Black. I am so stoked this man is our coach. He IS a Raider. Loved him as a player, and have loved finding out who he is. I'd work for this dude in a heartbeat and am excited to see him build this culture. I've been a Raider fan since I was 7 years old. That was back in 1972. Over the last 52 years, I have seen them win championships and stink up the league. I was 18 the last time they won the SuperBowl.

As an Eagles and Steelers fan, this is heartwarming to see. Especially considering that I use to play Madden with all of these gentlemen being in the actual games.
I will keep an eye out for the Raiders next year for Pierce (and Crosby and the rest of the team). I like the way they played down the stretch this year, just need a QB to tie things together.

As a Giants fan, he got me rooting for him and the Raiders. A true legend. In the 07 playoffs, he defended 2 guys with each arm at the same time. He wasn't gonna be stopped.

Not a Raiders fan but I have to say that this Antonio Piece interview makes him more relatable. You can see the love he had for his Mom. After watching an interview with Steve Spagnola he talked about AP as a person, how he was so good with everyone in the building. I can see that now. Hearing him say one five is different and watching him willing his team to win makes me so glad he's on the Chiefs team. Thank you RC and the gang for the interview. You guys are SO GOOD at bringing the human aspect into the interview. Sometimes as fan's we hold player's in such a high esteem...they really are more like us than we realize. Thank you.
