This was one of my favourite roads in the Denver area. We were lucky that it opened on the scheduled date, just before Memorial Day Weekend, when we visited. Those road crews do an amazing job every year, clearing that road. ❄️❄️

I think, last I checked- the highest paved road is outside Idaho Springs, Colorado. It winds up to Mt. Evans, which is a 14,000ft-er.
