I wish I had this man as a journeyman I’m an apprentice currently 2nd year and just basically tryna survive in this trade I’m burnt out and overall bad experience with journeymen
Sorry, had to focus on our online corse that drops friday. Took all my attention but extremely proud of it…. Way more proud than this damn box off set haha
Mini straos have their place, but offsets have there place also, especially on solid masonry walls where a gap between the tube and finished surface can become an issue. It ALL depends on the environment and the preferred look. Keeo the fire in the wire 👊
Here’s the math. 3/8 offset. 10 degrees (only reason why it’s even marked on the bender), spacing between bends is 2.25 or 2 and a quarter. Bend in the air, first bend is where you want pipe to pop up, second bend is to correct. If there’s enough spacing between the next bend, dot the conduit where you want it to pop into the box. Else boxset first then make other bends.
I would agree that you did come off a bit like a bully, but you're just expressing your opinion and that's ok. I disagree with your take on box offsets, you even proved how easy it is to do. It depends on the application as they can be a hazard for snagging and scraping. Running the conduit up against the drywall in a small shop or residential garage and making a box offset just looks better and more professional, imo.
Never in all of my professional life have I ever been called a bully but there is a first time for everything. I prefer minis just about everywhere. Even down low in a shop they can serve as an extra coat hook :) In this line of work there are Priorities (aka Code) and Preferences... this of course is my preferences not a priority. Keep crushing and running my friend.
@@empoweredkc Josh, I didn't mean to be offensive, just repeating what you mentioned, otherwise it wouldn't have occurred to me. Keep up the good work and videos.
