Eddie Murphie was the golden boy of those types of producers and POC films of the day, and they did everything they could to sell him as an A-List Topper, which he was. I do believe they go their return on him, and let him go into business for himself and make some REAL wealth. Those type producers think with their deep pockets they can throw all-star teams together and think they'll get a hit of a movie, but the film risks having no heart, no character, no script, nor any chemistry.
