IS2 1943, 5.7 or 6.3 does not matter much. Still can beam oneshot enemy and got one shot in retaliate. In contrary, this works for any light tanks heat slinger.
Yeah it matters... farming panthers was way easier. They are bold and have a big flat target in the front of the hull, so no risk of getting outskilled by volumetrics
I know it’s skill, and particularly forethought about positioning and how people are most likely to act, but damn when I look at people like malzi and spook enemies just appear to fall into their laps clueless and ready to be cooked
@@zwang7050 no this is the early IS-2 version but even still this thing is a beast and the 1944 version has even better hull armor and a Dshk 50 cal for just a .3 battle rating change

It was so good when it was 5.7 or even 6.0 and the 44 version at 6.3. Now they face american heavies (not sherman jumbos) that are objectively better. Unlike other heavies, is-2s don't have weak spots, they have strong spots with the rest being penned by 4.7
is a peek-a-boo tank wichs relies on playing pasive, cant do anything alone (against a decent team), after firing you need to cover and if you miss you are fucked. no depression, armor is "ok" but not great. any ligth tank with heat-fs can easily screw you (pbv 501 for example)
You basically play it as a tank destroyer with ok armor. like you said , focus on the mobility and the firepower of the is2 and peek and boom. The mobility is really good compared to even medium tanks.
