ARUNACHAL PRADESH

Arunachal Pradesh is a Himalayan state located in the easternmost corner of India. It is the state where the sun's rays first fall in India and where Buddhism permeates every way of life.
Arunachal Pradesh means the 'Land of dawn-lit mountains'. This is because the state receives the country's first rays of the rising sun. From the far eastern corner of Kibithoo and Tirap bordering Myanmar to Tawang adjoining Bhutan and China, Arunachal Pradesh encloses an area of 88,743 sq km. It extends from the subtropical jungles in the southern foothills near Assam to the snow-capped peaks near the Tibetan plateau in the north. This vast expanse gives this state a rich diversity in flora, fauna and wildlife, not to mention among its people.
