Saw the show at the Belasco at the end of february.. I am so sad about the Jimmy Fallon Night Show Video having been deleted all through the web. That was an all time best gig...
I saw it last night. I started to fall asleep. The plot is as so confusing & people trying to cram two interracial relationships & a ton of other thing’s that would not be possible during that time. It was so bad, hard to understand & I felt as if you just were seeing what happened with one character all of the sudden another character came in confusing me more. There was also a lot of profanity which was not appropriate during that time. I recognize they were trying to be with the times but, it’s like Hamilton trying to represent the African American culture during that time just didn’t work. I did like the costumes , the staging, set design & the live orchestra & some of the singing was decent however, the story was just thrown into a blender & I could not keep up. People walked out during the show. I stayed out of respect but, I felt the music didn’t match the story nor go together seamlessly with the plot. I felt as though they threw music & different stories together to see which one would stick. It just didn’t work at all. I felt it was so boring. I want to be entertained when I see a show or when I perform I want to be in something that has legs & people enjoy. I felt like the cast was trying to polish something that was unable to be polished & they kept going & going hoping it was going to have a different outcome but, you just were left with rusted scrap metal with no shine at all.
This show was a dream come true for conor mcpherson its writer and creator he is massive bob Dylan fan. But he was stunned that the show took off as he had never written a musical before. All his previous were plays etc.
This show is touring with Broadway Across America, last day in KCMO. I just left this play. It was horrible and confusing. Not speaking on the talent, just the way this show was written.
No offense y'all, but I saw this show a few weeks ago on Broadway with this cast and I was bored to tears. Also confused at the various story lines that randomly dropped from the script. This show isn't going to last long.
@@Analblockage I've seen bootlegs of almost every Broadway musical released in the past 20 years. I read off-broadway play scripts as a hobby and have a masters in English. This show just didn't do it for me. Oh and I'm a Bob Dylan fan, lol. I was probably confused because the narrator at the beginning flubbed his line and said the story was set in "1923" instead of 1933, which actually made the rest of the show really confusing, because that completely changes the context.
@@yolandamofork7632 From Europe. It takes an American Masters in English to have a complete meltdown due to a small one word slip in the prologue of a play. But one must be forever aware that academic qualifications are handed out like advertising flyers in the USA. Just another small reason, among many, why the USA is in its current situation. All rather sad.
Have never heard Mare Winningham sing before. Very impressed.
She has released some country albums independently before.
There's nothing she can't do! She was also Bonnie's mom in Bonnie & Clyde in their pre-broadway run!
Can’t wait to see how Colton Ryan does!! I loved him in the recording of Alice By Heart!
I saw this show right before the shutdown in New York... It was beautiful.
I got to see this in Toronto last year. It’s really good! You will be peeling apart the layers of this show for weeks afterwards.
This show was thrilling, moving, unforgettable. I hope that it returns, so more people can experience.
I love the energy in these performances and i’m swooning over some of those costumes

Looking good!
I really hope this show doesn’t close during the shutdown... their grosses were pretty small beforehand.

This was the most boring musical I've ever seen. We left at intermission.

The show was brilliant. It's more sophisticated in its storytelling. Perhaps go to the AMC in Times Square and see a marvel movie next time instead.
