Do review Mannil Indha Kaadhal Andri by SPB sir. It will certainly be something unique and that you guys would love and appreciate…
Boby deol songs
Khakee movie scene staring Akshay Ajay Amitab Aishwarya
Watch Nangai Song from ENGEYUM KADHAL . You would love Mj beats of the song The Way You Make Me Feel in that!
Its very sad to know that the song “chittiyan kalaiyaan “ is considered as an evolution when the same year the album Tamasha released and Rahman created otherworldly masterpieces like Chali kahani , Tu koi aur hai , Agar tum saath ho , safarnama , wat wat and many more. The album is literally the definition of a musical evolution . Also , Lagaan , Raanjhana, , Delhi 6 , Swades , RDB , Jaane tu ya jaane na were all excluded. Plus Amit Trivedi’s soundtracks like DevD , Bombay Velvet , Fitoor , Lootera were also gorgeous. The word evolution has been used so casually here cos the general music culture in India is anything but evolving. Currently Its only cos of composers like AR Rahman , Amit Trivedi, Ilaiyaraaja, Ajay Atul , Santhosh Narayan, Mm Keeravani and few others that our music demands the respect and attention from the world. Most of the others just follow the trend and stick to basic tried and tested chords
the lack of rahman in this list was disappointing to say the least
where is lagaan,dilse,raanjhnaa, taal wth
Actually the video said these are the most popular songs of each year and unfortunately the masses these days don't usually appreciate quality music.
Seriously the choice of the songs are bad..
it is very difficult to choose song
The fact that peopled don't understand that if every popular song was put into this then the video would be hours long😂
True 🤣💯
Days long
Lot of all time hit songs missing in list
- Disco dancer, Qurbani, Don, Sholay, Namak Halal, Rajesh Khanna Hits, Bahubali all missing
The video included one song which was considered the best in that year. And about that, different people are bound to have different opinions.
I'll give you brief phases of Hindi film music.
From 1930s to 1950 - Playback singing technique and technology was still developing. K L Saigal was THE GREAT. Mukesh, Kishore and others imitated and idolised him in their early years. Shamshad Begum was the star female voice.
Between 1950 and 1980, mostly 4 singers dominated. Mohammed Rafi and Kishore Kumar for Male leads and Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle for Female leads. The other great singers in that era were Mukesh, Manna De and Talat Mehmood (Male) and Geeta Dutt (Female).
From 1980-90 - It was a period of decline for Hindi film music. Mohd Rafi passed away in 1980 and Kishore Kumar in 1986. Though Lata, Asha were still singing they had passed their prime. The prominent singers in this decade were Anuradha Paudwal, Amit Kumar (son of Kishore Kumar, who doesn't get his dues in spite of some great songs), Mohammed Aziz (I like his tonal quality and style...he gave some memorable songs in most junk movies)
From 1990-1999 - Resurrection of Hindi film music. Similar to 1950-80, 4 singers dominated this decade. Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu (for Male leads) and Alka Yagnik, Kavita Krishnamurthy (for Female leads). In fact, Kumar Sanu won 5 consecutive Filmfare music awards for the best Male playback singer and then stopped competing for the award. Sonu Nigam and Shaan were not yet stars. A R Rahman became big in Hindi from 1995 onwards.
From 2000-2010 - Great new age music, along with old classical style of Hindi film music. However, since 2000s role of playback singers (as individuals) has diminished. Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Sonu Nigam stand out.
From 2010 onwards - basically it's an era of film music with a very short shelf life (with few deserving exceptions). It doesn't matter who sings and you barely remember the singer. Also there are so many of them (maybe 20-30+) and you can't distinguish one voice from the other. I think this trend will continue.
That's why 1950-80 is considered (in fact 1950-70) Golden Era of Hindi film music. You should do reaction for Filmfare Award winning songs from 1953 (when awards started) to 1978 (25 year period).
U forgot 1960-1970 and 1970-1980 Mukesh Passed away in 1976. Also Manna Dey was a singer with whom injustice was done. The MDs defined him as a classical singer and An old voice so none gave him the proper chances. He was given chances by SJ, RD and SD none else. While Mohd. Rafi was actually copied none in the initial days that style was his Original one while Mukesh's voice was Heavily moulded on the voice of KL Saigal. Shamshed Begum was undisputed till 1960 Lata Mangeshkar was not the top that time yet. Later Shamshed Begum Retired so Lata Mangeshkar was the only Female voice and Proved to become the Best Female Voice in the complete India alongside Mohd. Rafi and Kishore Kumar (while Kishore Kumar was limited to Hindi and Bengali Film industries mainly Mohd. Rafi became the most versatile singer along with Manna Dey while Dey and Kumar Both said that There's None who can be compared to Mohd. Rafi and Kishore Specially said that Mohd. Rafi was and will remain always the best voice and Singer of their Era). Then Talat Mehmood retired from the Hindu films in 1970s and focused on doing Live shows and Ghazal performances.
Very well summarized. I have almost the same opinion. My continue to listen 50s-60s the most followed by 90s and 70s. The only exception I maintain for 2000s onward is listening to ARR
@@dragonforcegaming7555 Mukeshji developed his own style and had a Inimitable voice after 1950 , He was only influenced by KL Saigal in the late 40's .... His songs like Awara hoon and Mera Joota hai Japani became famous Worldwide .
@@tae1169 yes everyone developed their own style and Mukesh ji did too but if u listen closely to KL Saigal singing and Mukesh ji's singing u will find a more closer resemblance. Even in the song Kabhi Kabhi mere dil mein u will find this resemblance. And we must not forget that not only did those songs became a worldwide hit but the films Shree420 and Awara became worldwide hit too and most of that popularity is from Russia or better to say that time's Soviet Union, and these films as well as Raj Kapoor himself were of that socialist mentality so these films when Hit the market became Huge Hits in Russia and the song Mera Joota hai japani was specially commissioned by Raj Kapoor after Awara became a Worldwide hit. U can read about this in more details if u read a few articles and listen to the songs of Both KL Saigal Nd Mukesh ji's very closely and Deeply. Like the song Mai Pal Don pal ka sayaar hoon and the song Ek pyaar ka nagma hai he was singing in a complete different way than any other song which was sang by him and these are actually among my Favourite ones sang by mukesh ji 😅.
@@dragonforcegaming7555 WhileI respect your opinion... I disagree with you , Just compare the variation in Mukeshji's Voice in 1945 "Dil jalta hai to jalne de" ... After hearing the song KL Saigal himself got shocked and praised Mukeshji as Mukesh directly Imitated him . Unfortunately "Dil Jalta hai To Jalne de"also became the last song of Mukeshji's life , You can hear that 1976 live version on UA-cam ... His voice is totally different ... I've heard all his songs and Almost all are my favourite ... But Kabhie Kabhie was sung in a totally Different Pitch and heavy bass voice Which different from KL Saigal's low pitch tonal quality . Also Awara hoon became famous in Turkey , China and other countries as well .. Other singers too sang for Raj Kapoor but it was only his songs which earned International Praise eg. Mera Naam Joker , Sangam , Shri 420 , Awara . Mukeshji developed his own style after Andaaz with the help of Naushad .
The era of Pritam-KK of the mid 2000 were missed completely..
I expected atleast one kk song in this list🙄
There was Ajab si. And Dola Re.
But yes, Tu hi meri shab hai instead of Ya Ali for sure and Khuda Jaane and Dil Ibadat later.
1999 - tadap tadap k
2006 - tu hi meri shab hai
2008 - zara sa & khuda jaane
Rip kk
😦😧😭😭😭
It's sad that since 2010 , it's only been Aashiqui 2 and Kabir Singh from Bollywood , which are absolutely outstanding albums offering something fresh and soulful to the listeners (excluding ARR )....Most of the rest has been complete trash...and we still listen to 60's 70's Hindi songs which are evergreen
Rockstar
Roy
Baar Baar Dekho
Shershah album was good
There are other albums that are good
But when it comes to each & every song of the album being top quality, then Aashiqui 2 & Kabir Singh are the only ones that come to mind
I remember thinking about Aashiqui 2 while listening to the Kabir Singh album
Include 'Ek Villain' Too in this list, whole album is masterpiece
🤧🤧 how can you miss aye dil hai mushkil
1955-1979 really pulls the heartstrings.❤️
And 1990 - 2010 was magic ✨
And then it's just the downhill ..a few exceptions ofcrs
2013-2020 , 2022
Arijit Singh 🤗❤️❤️
Soulful and magical

This timeline contains EXTREMELY iconic songs, especially in the 1990s and before, incredibly iconic songs, like I was born later on in the 2000s and even I know the songs in that era because of how iconic and famous they are. I would recommend you to watch all of the songs in this timeline because they're really good.
Lot of all time hit songs missing in list
- Disco dancer, Qurbani, Don, Sholay, Namak Halal, Rajesh Khanna Hits, Bahubali all missing
@@gopimohan6816 its just the most popular song from that year some songs take time to be praised
I fell in loved with Hindi songs in the 90s era..there are many best songs in the 90s to 2017 (I think) however, loved their reaction when seeing the turn of SRK's song 🥰 it turns out they really liked him..aww I ❤️ you guys..
Nothing but Playgiarism from 90s onwards
2000-2010 all songs were poop. Include sheila ki jawani.
@@raviani82 u could have said most of the instead of all
@@parimalgajbhiye4497 I think you have not seen the video properly. K3 g song is best song of the year what a joke.
@@raviani82 u r saying 2000-2010 all songs were poop, really all ?? Check again
Kal ho Na ho had to be there 😄
Many popular songs were ignored, especially of AR Rahman, and Guide film in 1965... nevertheless this was a cool compilation..
Edit: Songs in Lagaan, Taal, Rangeela were a craze back then. The video misses a lot of it.
1 song per year.. they are bound to miss most of them
Lot of all time hit songs missing in list

Kabir singh songs was way better than gully boy.
Exactly .
@@kamaljeetkamaljeet7334 they are biased towards ranveer singh
Teri mitti??
Yeah but album wise Gully Boy superior, from lyrics to music! Kabir sings music was cliche to I loved that album more, because of that pyar dhoka sex but gully was better
@@adityayadav-fq5lv true
You can see korbin romantic smile when he sees Ashwarya on screen. And Ricks smile to see Shree devi
How can they skip Chaiya chaiya in 1998🧐🤔
Asha Bhosle is the younger sister of Lata Ji. Asha Bhosle is a very versatile singer - she has sung more genres of songs than any of the singers yet, with the exception of maybe Manna De.
Manna de sahab is a legend... dey should react to 'laga chunri mein daag'..
The 60s & 70s were the highlight for me
And post 2010s I was cringing seeing what we have today compared to what we used to have
It's not like we didn't have any great songs in those years, but the songs that got popular made me upset
it is amazing how i remember every sigle lyrics from 1953-1973 of the entire song. The golden era of music!!
That video was not named correctly. An evolution video should be talking about musical trends and not the songs that enjoyed mass popularity. In that light, the 90s saw a definite shift in the kind of music created thanks to Indipop, AR Rahman and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. They changed the sound of the music in Hindi films and should have been better represented here.
Please, react to old Ashiqui songs, they are all master pieces. And kumar sanu's voice is very romantic.
Copied songs. Duh
@@thiscommetwastyped8695 how ?
@@thiscommetwastyped8695 You must be a copy too.🤔
When 1988 hits... melodious memories and nostalgia hits. Till 2005. ❤️
it’s so nice to know you guys know almost all the popular songs of 90s and early 20s 😭❤️
Such compilations are bound to factor in the biases of the compiler coz obviously so so many good and popular songs to choose from each year. Leaves the heart wanting for more!!
Wow this video was so amazing!! I was full of emotions throughout except at the end where Chittiyan Kalaiyan, Main tera boyfriend etc came up.
I got emotional by seeing songs my father used to play in dvd player when I was child
50s and 60s was the golden age for Indian film music. I was born only in the 90s but I still strongly feel that the current music directors and singers don't hold a candle to singers and directors of those days. Those songs have stood the test of time and are still cherished. As someone also pointed out, songs nowadays just have short shelf life. Even in Tamil, you guys are raving about Rahman, only because you have not listened to compositions by M S Viswanathan, Mahadevan and G Ramanathan. Stalwart singers like MS amma, GNB, Thyagaraja Bhagavathar, MLV and KBS sung in movies of those days. How can singers of today even dream to compare? Please listen more to older songs before you shower accolades on the newer guys...
It's feel good to see dancing and understanding the bollywood songs 😍😍
Actually I thought the list was good, but in 2000's era I think some of the songs were misplaced, I dont't knw why but overall it was good.
This video is a proof that the music now a days is just ruined 😭😭
From gems to sastey remix.
Lol we did come a long way !!!
Lata Mangeshkar Kishore da, Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Mohammad Rafi, Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan
Not fair to not include any of atif's song in this video despite the fact that he literally sung some of the all time hits from 2007 to 2014.
agree
Yess agree
agree.. especially.. pehli nazar mein... dat year in indian idol.. all the contestants were singing that song.
I like reaction from both of you.....plz do more of these kinda compilations
Hope both of you enjoyed the 90's..... appreciate your videos...
Loved all SRK songs.. ❤❤
🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬 loves SRK! 😍😍
Just realised, Rick and Korbin don't know about Devananda!!!! 😱
Idk why am I crying
It felt like I saw an entire flashback of my life
Yeah it all started in 2014 .... Decline of music (rather than evolution)... It was already declining but 2014 onwards it went down drastically...
Late 50s and 60s (throughout) was the peak
90s and 2000s had best songs. Good music and melodious.
It's mind blowing how much Presence Lata Ji had. It seems like she was ALWAYS there. In every decade.
Oh I love old songs. Lataji Ashaji 🙏🙏 Old is gold always.
Please react on any song which were there between 1955 to 1990
Loved your reaction. Really how you both enjoy 😍👏💛💛
Love this video!
I have always believed that QSQT was a pathbreaking film. This video makes it evident when 1988 comes along. You can sense it.
I am kinda curious what metric they have used to measure popularity, specially for songs from 1940s.
Sale of audio cassates / gramophone records
The 1969 kishor song mere sapnon ki rani . From there both of their prime started and Rajesh Khanna became the sensation and kishor became his voice and Rajesh Khanna dominant the songs ,movies till 75
Please guys react to the song "tere bina zindagi se koi shikwa"......which was shown in this video clip(1975)......sung by Lataji and Kishore Kumar.....its one of the most legendary songs of Hindi cinema.
This was The Song ... agreed ! Among top 10 Hindi songs of all time. Also, the 1983 song 'Tujse Naraz Nehi'. However, think they won't be able to grasp it.
Chhaiya Chhaiya was bigger than ankhon ki gustakhiyan
It should have been here
Exactly!
The golden period in indian filmi music started at 1965 and remained in 70s. The last times amazing music was produced was in 90s. Then after 2000, music n songs quality started declining every year
I don't think the compiler did justice. The number one song in 1949 was “arega arega” from the movie Mahal. This song made Lata Mangeshkar a household name.
8:35 love the reaction of u two.. 💕💕😉
K L Saigal ji was born in Jammu, proud to be from the same land.
U have come a long way and in songs old is gold
The video was good but honestly can be more in-depth had it been segregated the evolution decade-wise. Then we could have seen atleast 10 songs from each decade. But that would have increased the duration well past a reaction video. 🙏🙂
Mohd Rafi sab's 60's 70s' so many superhit songs were ignored in this compilation 😭❤️
What happend to loads of SRK songs from 90s to 2010s ? We non Indians know bollywood coz of him .
Then you have a bad taste in movies 😂
M literally surprised it didn't not include songs of mohabbaten and gullyboy
That was stress buster (re dola re dola 😂)
The 70's songs are epic
React "kya hua tera vaada" sung by mo. Rafi please.
So basically the point is listen to old songs cause that is where the gold is also some very few new songs are godd but mostly are a headache. 👍
Maybe do a video on different genres - classical styles like thumris and then ghazals and qawwalis... and all kinds of romantic soft songs, classical and cabaret dance numbers....
Heeee Thanku 😊my recomntetion.
Can't believe they left Chaiyya Chaiyya from the list....
Old songs has my heart ❤
They chose something else than the LEGENDARY "Kaho Na Pyar Hein" for 2000
finally a good reaction in days............react to srk evolution guys
Life was so good back then man....🙂
Good topic to react ।।। nice video,,, AR Rehman effect and RD Burmans last movie would have been good milestones to add
Else very nice video my favorite artist is always Kishore kumar,,, , wen I was a kid I liked his yoddllings ,,, seniors in school at that time used to sing songs like " nahi jina nahi jina tere bin nahi jina,,,, they used to make their voice thick in their level,,, when I was a teenager I was surprised to know both songs were done by same singer ,,,,,
5:26 coincidence, I watched this movie yesterday. I found it in Diksha sharmas video ' top thrillers of Bollywood' . I was also unaware that this song was from this movie.
My grandmother was born in 1931 and she passed away in 2021
Mukeshji developed his own style and had a Inimitable voice after 1950 , He was only influenced by KL Saigal in the late 40's .... His songs like Awara hoon and Mera Joota hai Japani became famous Worldwide . Sadly he passed away on 1976
Guys, react to 'tujhme rab dikhta hai' from SRK & Anushka movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
now he's gonna own it. so true korbin ✌️make way for kishore kumar 😎
You can actually see that after 2010, how the quality of the songs just went down.
50s 90s and early 2000s are my favorites
Nice react 🌺 Old is Gold 💝 but sadly there is no Suraiya's song . She's so phenomenal back then . My fav are 50s and 90s songs 😌
2010 had such beautiful songs and he still chose sheila ka jawani
WHAT A DROP AFTER 2010s WHAT A DROP lmao! It can be anything but evolution!
kL saigal was one finest singer.
My Dad's favorite. So as a kid I heard his songs 😅
Then Mohammed Rafi, mukesh, manna day, kishore etc came😃
The fact that they know Latadidi too much but i don't think they seen ashatai that much.....her versatility made her shine under Latas shadow ....once even latadidi said " had Asha walked my path she wouldn't have been succeeded , her versatility paved her own ways"
Old is gold always ♥️
It seems what they like just put in the list 😂😂😂😂
dilse, humse hein muqabla is missingg...epic songs of those days, DD METRO CHANNEL use to never miss playing
1935 guy and korbin hairstyle are so same 😂😂😂
Its sad that after a point the popular songs has deteriorated so much..
U have missed Rajesh Khanna era until now. He is an integral part of Indian cinema for it to be known completely to u. He ruled the 70s especially the first half. If u guys love n understand the charm of SRK, u’ve got to understand and appreciate Rajesh Khanna’s charm. N this is coming from a person who was born much after his golden period, that must give u an idea about his popularity. He had a brilliant side as an actor as well but his charisma overpowered every other thing at that time.
There's a difference between most popular and most soulful. Chill guys.
Saat samundar is still the best song ever in the world, in terms of everything music, lyrics, emotional, singing, makes everyone dance.
I bet it must be a copied song from west. Its music, composition could never be desi, it must have been copied from either western english music or latin music.
If you think its the best song ever, then you havent listened any songs especially from international music
@@florad629 whatever it may be but the magic of saat samundar song is still there after 30 yrs.
@2:18 that was from original original devadas
The beautiful bollywood music era ended with Aashiqui 2 in 2013
The oldes song which is very popular still is from 1947 afsana likh rhi hu. It is quite active in pop culture
There is hardly any Rafi songs in 50s and 60s His songs in 50s and 60s were on top you can check from binaca geetmala
Same goes with Kumar Sanu he was single handedly ruling 90s music
Please check song - sun sahiba sun and saat samundar. They are marvelous in this list
The hindi dialect of old songs is quite different from what we speak today
Guys, you really need to experience and react to Manna Dey songs. His melodious and classically sound voice deserves more appreciation. Please experience both his Bengali and Hindi songs. I'm from Bangladesh and grew up listening to Manna Dey, Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi, Hemanta, Lata snd Asha a lot. Love them all but my most favourite is Manna Dey especially for his sad romantic non-filmi Bengali songs
You never reacted to songs from 2 most popular movies..Saajan and Dil.
one major change that i noticed is the vocabulary ... from proper hindi lyrics to Hindi - urdu lyrics, Hindi- Punjabi lyrics Hindi- English lyrics.
2004 to 2010 is era of himesh, Kk, javed ali and not a single Song from them
React to SRK and Kajol celebrating 20 years of DDLJ.
Ran ne Jodi srk movie is a must see
Lol whoever made the picks in this video from 90s onward were a little bit suspect. Let’s do a fan-made compilation of this for them to react to!
