In the original Grimm fairytale, three animals visit Snow White while she's in the coffin. The first is an owl, then a raven, and then a dove. So perhaps the mask is based on that?
Hi Doll Dad, I agree with your review. Front is plain but full of embroidery at the bottom. The neck crown or whatever it's called is a bit too big. But since I don't debox it will have to stay. I wasn't sure about her at first, but I love Snow White and went ahead and ordered. There are a few improvements that could have been made, but overall I'm happy with her and glad I purchased. Great review as always and a great collection you have.
I really liked Gothel doll, she has really cool face and fabrics. I do not agree about the embroidery at the top, I had the same thoughts when I saw the promo, but when I received the doll it made perfect sense for me... it would look too heavy with the embroidery and I think her collar and mask kind of make up for that.
Snow White is one of my favorite princesses and characters ever but this isn’t really my favorite doll of her. The skirt is too short in my opinion. 3:23 I totally agree with you, it seems like Steve Thompson’s designs for this entire line were a lot better than the dolls themselves turned out to be. She looks so nice in the gown Steven drew her in!
Very pretty doll 💗. I beg to disagree with you about the edition size though. For people who have to wait to get paid, if there are more dolls, it’s easier for them to obtain them. I’m not a fan of the very limited dolls, and could care less about exclusivity. I just want to be able to get dolls I love 😊
Thank you for finding the time and energy to make this video!❤ It's really helpful, I was on the fence about buying her, and now I think I have to.:)) I don't mind the longer hair (although the style in the artwork is so cute!!) and I love the monster collar, haha. I had my doubts about the fabric of the dress, it's got these... lines? Weird texture that looks like running threads. It looked really horrible in the promo photos on the Disney website but in your review it looks ok, I think I can bear it.😂
I think mother Gothel has the best face sculpt. She is literally popped up from the movie. Btw I’m waiting for Snow White to come next week but she and Ariel are very disappointing for me. Only Alice is looking good from the heroines and all the villains are awesome.
You read my mind. I expected Gothel to be underwhelming, but her face sculpt and make-up are perfection. The other villains and Alice look amazing too. I'm returning Ariel, even though I got one with great hair, and I didn't order Snow. It's a shame since Ariel and Snow are two of my favorites to collect, along with Alice and Pocahontas.
@@katarinamor I ordered Ariel (in which I was 'so-so' about the dress) and I thought she looked WAYYYYY better in person. I think she has a prettier face than Alice IMO (and can't tell you how elated I was about Alice herself :)
I personally just received mine and don’t get me wrong. She is beautiful, but I feel like the final design that we received is like the first draft. It could’ve been improved by minor things.
I was going to ask you the same thing as a fan of your reviews. I remember you saying in another video that you didn’t like the midnight masquerade Rapunzel doll, even though you own her, I don’t have any of those in that series, but she was my least favorite so I can see why you don’t like her. However, while I don’t have her, Mother Gothel looks much better in this series to me then the Rapunzel. What do you hate about her? Thank you 😊
I believe Ariel was the best, but I do like Alice and Snow from this line. I wish they would quit the villians , but I guess some like the villians they just could do other hero's or side characters .

Her face is gorgeous but the dress looks cheap. The artwork is so much better than the final doll.

love love love the art work SO beautiful and my dream snowwhite, but i don't think the designer came close enough to the artwork sadly. what a shame.

Why is her hair always jet black?!? It's black as ebony, Disney. Black as ebony ...
