I think when JK says Jimin-ah, most times he's teasing. When he says Jimin or Jiminie, it's natural. As someone else said, I think it's become more difficult for him to control it. Sometimes you hear him add the hyung belatedly. For JM, it doesn't even register as an issue or something inappropriate anymore, all he hears is JK calling him. I also recall in the Soop, when Tae Tae told JK he could speak to him informally (drop the honorifics), JK said he didn't think it was a good idea, even though he does it with JM and JM and Tae are the same age.
Not saying JK hasn't teased every member and dropped the honorifics with them every now and then, but he does it with JM consistently and sometimes subconsciously.
From watching other Korean celebrities, it seems like you can ask someone slightly older if it's ok to "speak informally" which means calling them by their name. If they agree, then it's fine. You would only ask someone if you know them well, like a good friend. Since Jikook are close friends, then it should be ok.

There are many, many times where Jk doesn't use honorifics with Tae or any member. Jk said he didn't think it was a good idea due to the ships and because you are supposed to use honorifics, but even so he doesn't always use them with Tae and the other boys.
@@H3artsforTae He speaks informally to Jimin significantly more frequently than to any of the other members, though. And it's not just dropping honorifics with Jimin when they're around the members. He also drops them when Jikook are in more formal settings where he is normally careful to speak formally with the other members. For example, when he told his boxing teacher 'Jiminie is here', rather than using 'Jimin-hyung'.
He calls Jimin petnames like 애기 (Aegi) and 당신 (Dangshin, in contexts where it wouldn't make sense to mean the formal 'you'). He also uses words like 앙탈 (angtal) with Jimin which, according to the Korean comments I've seen, is usually used between people in a romantic relationship and is 'way out of the ballpark of what a younger person would say to a hyung'. Plus he often switches back and forth between overly formal and very informal, with Jimin, in a teasing/flirty way that he doesn't normally use to talk with the others.
I see a lot of comments from native Korean speakers about the overall tone and word choice JK uses with Jimin, being noticeably softer and more intimate than what he uses with the other members. Like when he offered to interrupt his workout to go to Jimin's birthday live, he asked whether he should come right then in a particularly indulgent way. In fact there was a lot of buzz on the K-ARMY side, about how 'boyfriend' their tone was in that whole conversation. Or consider how he spoke recently, when he visited Jimin's rehearsal for Set Me Free Part 2. There he used 아니야 한번 해줘 to cajole Jimin into practicing more, by teasingly commanding that he basically gift him the dance. That was an unusually informal choice of wording, especially since it was a work setting and they were surrounded by dancers. And in the part of their goodbyes that wasn't cut, when JK was telling Jimin it/he was awesome and that he'd be cheering for him, he spoke very informally again. He said it in a form that implied a promise to Jimin, and JK used 내가 to emphasize he would personally be cheering Jimin on.
To me, the differences in how they speak with each other, compared to how they speak with the other members, is similar to the differences in how they touch each other. They're both very affectionate with the other members, but there are ways they show each other affection that they don't normally do with any of the others. For example, sliding their hands under each others clothes, not because it's cold out, but apparently because they want to touch skin to skin. Same is true for things like JK sucking on Jimin's ear, carrying him around on their personal time, Jimin leaving a bruise on Jungkook's neck, etc.

Jimin has always treated Kookie as his equal and that is why their bond is so strong!! As far as I know, there are certain circumstances when it's okay to drop the honorifics and we all know why JK doesn't use them with Jimin and why Jimin smiles so wide when he does!!
there is something special about how jk treats jimin, sometimes it is so obvious to me because I always see them interact, but if you start to compare how jk treats other boys (like bros) with how he treats jimin ... there is something.

I can also kinda tell the difference between how he treats the members and with jimin, jungkook has great chemistry with each member, he has different kind of bond with them and I just love how he treats jimin, whenever they both interact it just sparkles
The drop is so significant sometimes I thing it's become natural he can't control it anymore ....and the drop signifies a more intimate relationship considering how much honorifics are important in Korean culture

For example Jimin can't call Suga Yoongi he has to add the hyung at the end but Yoongi can call Jimin Jiminah
The same goes for Jungkook since he is the youngest of the 7 he has to address them as hyung
But Tae and Jimin can call each other without the hyung because they are of the same age
When they do it it's subtle and unnoticed at times
But with Jimin it's constant and he sometimes has to correct himself because he realized he can't call him like that
Am not saying the other members don't do it but its not so constant as jk does with Jimin
You get my point right not sure am doing a good job

I'm from Europe and learned enough about Korean culture to understand that's something special... all that I can see is love from JK when he drops the honorifics and love from JM when he listens to it 💜 "a love so beautiful in every way" 💜

This WAS a long running joke - a scripted skit - that they did ALL the time. The original - was Hobi teasing Jimina, mkg fun of him - & Gukkie copied what Hobi said.. So ofc, Hobi didn't use honorifics bc PJM was always Hobi's doensaeng, (just as JJK is PJM's, I thk ppl here don't rly understand any of that..🤔💜) When JJK spoke informally - not just the name, evrythg he said - PJM told him, in extremely heavy sartoori, to 'not use banmal bc I'm older than you' - & Guk cracked up laughing - bc they aren't supposed to use sartoori, but ofc, both he & Guk do sometimes, & get in trouble - & they always use it, off cam. & no Korean teens wd dare say anythg banmal to their elders - certainly not on cam - all this is on cam.. It used to be quite a long joke, but now, they never finish the whole thg - bc as soon as Guk says "Jimin-ssi' they both crack up.You can see all this on sartoori compilation videos, if you look🙏💜Pls stop with the fake 'lovers' stuff - bc anybody who understands anything, & ALL Korean adults will tell you that is just fan fiction - & that these Korean, these Busan men are literally brothers & hv been so for more than 11 years. They were drinking and Jungkook carried Jimin in bridal style and wasn't putting him down even when Jimin asked him to. Jimin called Jungkook when he was feeling awkward in his birthday live and Jungkook dropped his workout routine halfway for him. Jimin did his birthday live in Jungkook's studio. Jungkook planned a Tokyo trip for Jimin for his birthday and took him to Disneyland and recorded everything together and published his first GCF. Jimin flew for 15 hours (halfway across the world) just to spend a few hours with Jungkook on his birthday. Jungkook said the only members he saw during their official break were Jimin and Hobi. Jungkook sucked Jimin's ear in front of thousands of people. They always know the smallest things about eachother like Jungkook saying how Jimin loves sour things...and in their Festa video the members themselves said that the only person who Jungkook gave a birthday gift to was Jimin.

@@vaishnaja Yes but I'm familiar with the American culture too, I studied in the US. Over here we mostly try to keep it subtle even with pictures taken of them after their schedules we make sure they don't spread. Them just hanging out. We don't want to fully assume anything but we want to be ready to protect them just in case.

This just shows how close they are with eachother! In our country we also use honorifics and I do drop my honorifics with my older sister sometimes when I'm trying to tease her but other than that I'm glad they feel comfortable with jk not using honorifics with jimin, cause it may sometimes feel uncomfortable...
