@Getsuga888 - I would say you have a bad panel for your TV. The only way to fix this, is to replace the panel. Panels are typically expensive, hard to find and difficult to replace. It may be more cost effective to replace the TV. Thanks and please let us know if you have any further questions!

The Samsung DLP chip I was looking at looks exactly the same as the one out of my Mitsubishi but, the only thing that's different is the reflective part of the chip is a little bit smaller but, the shape of the chip and the pins on the back look exactly the same..... I was just wondering because the chip was cheaper than the Mitsubishi branded one. And it's brand new.

I received my DLP chip for my 65" Mitsubishi. Right now I have about 25 white dots in different sizes but all just little pin dots. These started a few months back, but it seems that some of the then disappear but are replaced with new ones in different spots - is this normal?

I purchased the Samsung KU6290 TV in Nov of 2016 at BestBuy. About 3 days ago, I get home from work and turn on my TV. All I see are these black dots all across my TV screen. At first, I thought it was one of the devices I have connected causing the issue. I called Samsung CS and spoke to a supervisor who authorized to pay for the part. I just have to pay for the labor. My TV has been mounted on the wall since purchased. Has not sustained any physical damage whatsoever. Not sure what caused this. I've only had my TV for less than 2 & 1/2 years and this happens.

hey mate ...I have an Optoma Hd141x, do you think its is direct DLP chip or is that a optical light mask, as I can see in hd20 service manual .The ceramic in my lamp came off and was spreading the ceramic powder all across the projector. I was cleaning and blowing off dust inside my projector when I think it deposited on this part. Using q tip hasnt helped and I think q tip has rather scratched it. When properly focused I can see all that debris on projection surface. This assembly was earlier spotless.Will really appreciate if you could help on this ? What's wrong when a wd-73737 that has no picture and no sound? It had white dots on the screen for about 3yrs....Can a dlp chip cause this? When I needed a lamp a few years ago, I had sound but no picture.....help
My mits DLP doesn't have the black and white spots, but has more differing shades of black and gray spots that can be seen during dark scenes or darker colors being displayed. This results in a grain-like appearance and no contrast depth to any scene that isn't bright colored. This anomaly can even be seen when the TV is powering down with no signal and light is still on after turn off. However, it isn't apparent during moments of bright color (such as the blue screen when inputs are changed or have no signal). Could this be a mirrors that are stuck between on and off, or is it more likely the result of dust build up on the inside of the screen? I hate to buy a new chip, and the problem is something else. I also noticed this problem for the first time last night when watching television in the dark. I don't believe it came on a bit at a time like some people describe this situation. At least I didn't notice it until it was all over the screen. Thanks!

I am pretty sure my DLP chip needs replacing, about a month ago we got one white dot and every week another one appears. My manual says it is a Mitsubishi C9 series 737 series or 837 series. Where would I find out which one of the three. How much is the DLP chip?
Samsung DLP HL-T5087x/xxa white dots have been multiplying over the past many weeks. On occasion the TV will not come on until unplugging/replugging. Also, sometimes, shortly after it comes on, it changes to a scrambled picture with colored lines for 15 seconds or so, then it returns to the picture. There are a few more white dots each day. Half of the dots 'twinkle' like little stars in the sky. Do you have a Diagnosis? Is this something a 64 year old woman can do, or do I need to call a repairman?

My 65" Mitsubishi Diamond series TV started getting the little white dots, over time the dots multiplied, My thought was to replace DLP chip when i just couldnt stand it anymore, But i trieid to turn TV on lastnight and it powered up, but i only had sound and unit turned itself off (im uessing because it knew it had no picture) will this DLP card get bad enough where it will cause this problem or do i now have another issue?
I have looked on your site and it seems the formatter board is out of stock. Mitsubishi WD-65833, manufacture date Oct. 2007. Seem premature to have these issues? And I believe they are out of the TV business.

Why would just replacing your lamp module cause the white specs to appear? In other words, why are the so-called mirrors on the chip doing something that would cause them to stick when the power is completely off? Why wouldn't a new chip do the same thing as you are installing it?

white dots have been multiplying over the past many weeks. On occasion the TV will not come on until unplugging/replugging. Also, sometimes, shortly after it comes on, it changes to a scrambled picture with colored lines for 15 seconds or so, then it returns to the picture.
There are a few more white dots each day. Half of the dots 'twinkle' like little stars in the sky.
Do you have a Diagnosis?
Is this something a 64 year old woman can do, or do I need to call a repairman?

My 65" Mitsubishi Diamond series TV started getting the little white dots, over time the dots multiplied, My thought was to replace DLP chip when i just couldnt stand it anymore, But i trieid to turn TV on lastnight and it powered up, but i only had sound and unit turned itself off (im uessing because it knew it had no picture) will this DLP card get bad enough where it will cause this problem or do i now have another issue?
I have looked on your site and it seems the formatter board is out of stock. Mitsubishi WD-65833, manufacture date Oct. 2007. Seem premature to have these issues? And I believe they are out of the TV business.

My Samsung 67 inch LED DLP TV (model code: HL67A750A1FXZA) is having 2 issues.
Issue 1: There is a 2 inch translucent grayish bar on the left side
Issue 2: It seems there is a bad DLP mirror chip because there are stationary white specks all over the screen.
Are both issues fixable and at what cost if they are?

Why would just replacing your lamp module cause the white specs to appear? In other words, why are the so-called mirrors on the chip doing something that would cause them to stick when the power is completely off? Why wouldn't a new chip do the same thing as you are installing it?
