In 2018 Panama City was hit by a category five hurricane, that is why the mall is closed as it was damaged. Saying it looks trashy but better has to with the hurricane as it blew all the real trashy and a lot of good away. #850STRONG
@ 4:06 I just had to chuckle when you said it wasn't warm!!!! 🙃 I know it's chilly compared to what you're used to. When Katie said it was 70 degrees I burst out laughing!!!!!! How I yearn for a 70 degree day in Minnesota in March!!!!
My hometown USED to be so beautiful. Then spring break 1996 and mtv ruined it, hurricane michael was the nail in the coffin..now it's just mob/gang land and all the people I knew as a kid are strung out or corrupt politicians or like me, have relocated due to this ugly takeover. It's so very sad. I miss the days growing up there, when you could ride bikes with your friends and not worry about getting snatched by a pedo, or skip school on senior skip day and be safe. And what REALLY angers me is all the high rise condos blocking the view of the gulf because the EPA was paid off to ignore the 2 sets of sand dunes LAW which costs the locals tax money every time there is a storm for "beach renourishment". Thank you for posting this. I miss this drive when it was actually "THE Miracle Strip". Now it's just a glorified ghetto. I moved away and my only regret is that I am so far away from my family. Non locals with too much money have taken over what as at one time, truly, the world's most beautiful beaches.
It's crazy that there are so many Waffle Houses because they get stupid busy during peak seasons. I'm talking a line inside and out the door just to be seated.
I just saw on a news article that Panama City was voted as the ugliest city in Florida. Can't really say for sure since I've not traveled to the panhandle first hand, but by judging, I think a good part of it has to do with Hurricane Michael. Most of this region of the state feels like a different world from the Pennisula.
@@FLORIDAHOODVLOGS Yeah. From all the places I've been throughout Florida, there aren't really that many cities or towns that I think are truly "ugly", but Lake City definitely looks ugly inside and out. All those big billboards everywhere and just the roads and houses and everything, it really belongs to the deep south. It might be because it's geographically isolated between Gainesville and Jacksonville, but Lake City is the one city in Florida that I never hear anyone talking about, probably because no one wants to move there.
@@omarrolle3842 It definitely takes awhile for the "Florida" feel to come by if you're on the I-75 side of the state. Even Gainesville feels like an outlier city compared to the rest of Florida. I don't really get the Welcome to the Sunshine welcoming state vibe until I reach Ocala.
The only nice area in the panhandle are the towns on 30A! Another thing I cant stand are the lack of nice gas stations, most seem to be junky hood gas stations.
I love how you keep talking about people from Alabama. Just shows your ignorance. I live north of Atlanta. I could take you to dozens of subdivisions around atlanta that are predominantly Hispanic. Some of the nastiest and trashy his places in North Georgia. But you keep talking.
Well at least it's green and warm so that's still great.
You tourist call it trashy and you bring the trash
A very beautiful city! ❤
Repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Also please quit making fun of southern folks.
My niece dad is from El Salvador 😊
We’re moving to Panama City and culture is everything

Wait till you hear my Minnesota tourist rendering of Panama City beach water temps when i went in 😅😅😅
I used to live here back in 2015. Good times! Now in austin. Obviously an upgrade (sarcasm) 😂
Houston you mean to say?😅
6:22 Yep. That's the papermill alright, and it's nearby. What's worse is the sewage plant on 23rd Street before the Hathaway Bridge to the beach. 👃🤢🤮
Good ole Transmitter road lol
I was like "There are so many Waffle Houses on the road." LOL
Love the ride, that's what travelling is all about - almost asked you to pull into the Burger King - I've got coupons! lol.

Pensacola and panama are very unsightly looking towns. The downtown is nice tho. Lake city is another eyesour.

@@mcamman6193Whenever I’m passing through Lake City on my way to Tampa it doesn’t even feel like you’re in “Florida” yet

Wow
Please do a Homosassa/Crystal River vid. Really appreciate your honest vids. I don’t feel like you’re selling anything, unlike some other channels.
So, drove thru there tonight. But it was too late to record!

I work in Springfield, so I know what you mean by junk hood gas stations
Hi Jose, will you guys be doing a drive video through Ft Walton Beach or Pensacola?
Hopefully soon sorry we missed it on this trip. We have done both towns but its been a while
Our former police chief moved to Fort Walton for a year. To davenport now southwest of Orlando
I'm from San Carlos pk in Ft. Myers lol
Is that in Fort Myers or in Foe Mah Dawg? 😅
I'm surprised your gps didn't tell you to turn right on 23rd st where Ihop was. (That is the way us locals would have went.)
Yo Jose this might be a stupid question but what you think I should pack for my Trip to Atlanta just asking 🤷♂️
Shorts, sweater, hat, sun glasses

Bay county along us98 near tyndal_ parker_springfield is
so ugly it's depressing
What do you think of Callaway?
That’s what a category five hurricane does… it tears stuff up and the area you are talking about got hit VERY hard. Hope it never happens to you.
@wturner777 depressing
I used to stay there. Here's a video I took of the beach
