Rob & Fab is the lone album by Rob & Fab, financed by Taj Records in 1991 and released by Joss Entertainment in 1992. The album itself sold only 2,000 copies.
Came here after the documentary. So sad to see such great talent killed by music industry and ruthless media
Now THIS is what I would call a Milli Vanilli album, the only true one in existence, because at least Rob & Fab actually sang on this record rather than just being brought on to merely serve as a visual marketing image. This is what Rob & Fab would have given us in the late 1980s were it not for the lip-syncing scandal.

Listening to this album for the first time in 2020, and I love it!!!!
Who says Rob could not sing? He was just afraid... And had a strong German accent by that time. Actually, he had a nice voice to work with; only a few things to correct. They were both talented guys, and this album is a good one. Pitty it was the only one as Rob & Fab. Fabrice is still working on his voice and he is doing it well. However, they were such a talented hot guys. R.I.P Rob.

This album is mostly Fab on vocals... and he wrote a lot of it too... Rob was struggling with addiction and depression while making this and wasn't at most of the recording sessions.

It's not that they lip-synced that was the problem; it's that they lip-synced to vocals sung by somebody else that screwed them over. They listened to the wrong people & when the shit hit the fan those very same people threw them under the bus. BOTH Rob & Fab could sing very well. They were never given a chance to shine on their own merits.

Dang, this makes me sad to hear... I mean, it's throwaway dance pop but they do it well, and the humiliation these guys suffered was so unwarranted. They could have been hitmakers with their own voices. RIP Rob.

@@sarahbrinkley2180 Both Robert and Fabrice said they were harassed wherever they went. They said it got so bad they didn't want to go out in public. It also impacted their friendship because when they were seen together the harassment was worse. They also ended up in a lot of law suits as well related to the scandel.
Edit- They had difficulty with the music industry because most record companies didn't want anything to do with them. American media spun the story as not only that they were lip singing but they couldn't sing either. I remember the media airing a video of them singing Girl You Know It's True using their voices and video was purposes slowed down when Rob was singing chorus with a thick German Accent. This video technic will make anyone's voice sound awful.
So sad story, what makes me more sad is that Rob took his own life, breaks my heart, RIP our sweet Rob 🌹

I saw these guys perform when this album came out at a club down the NJ shore (Club Paradise in Long Branch) . My cousin was the MC at that club and he had this CD and they signed it for him. I’m kinda wishing I would have gotten one myself. You can’t even find this now.

I still have my original CD that Arista tried to offer a $3 refund to us if you felt ‘cheated’ , I’m so glad 16 year old me knew to hold on to it, because I knew these guys were deserving of all the praise I am reading here in the comments. It’s an odd thing, but I’m a grown up, I know how things are, it when I hear ‘Blame it on the rain” I hear THESE TWO guys singing it, is that crazy? I am sure it is just my 14 year old-9th grade soul saying to my now mid 40s self, “don’t kill my vibe, old lady!”, thus , I honor her, and crank that banger up in my car.

love fabrice talented guy despite the scandel that had over shadowed and basically was a set up for disaster but he never gave up music, that is truely awesome and inspiring despite his obstacles and challenges.

I just listen to this album from start to finish and I must say I really enjoy it, it was definitely a very good album. I've noticed Fab vocals a lot but I think it was because Rob heavy German accent but all in all, I loved the album. I've watch Fab other videos here on youtube and it seems as though as Fab ages he gets more handsome, it doesn't seem like he is aging at all, it's like he is doing the total opposite lol. Side note, I wonder will the other comeback album be released? The one they were working on in 1997 and 1998? From my research, they completed that album and they were about to embark on a promotional tour but Rob died the day before the tour was to kick off and the album still goes unreleased. I really would love to hear that album. Also, what about there film telling there story to the world ? From my research, Universal Pictures has the rights to there story and a film has yet to be made and release ..... I hope one day we will see a full length film about them and hopefully hear the unreleased album they completed right before Rob death.

Regarding the album, I believe the tape recordings were destroyed after Rob's death. Unfortunately, It's very unlikely they ever made a back up copy.

I wonder that they very talented in music and the sound of their era. Presently there is nothing like them both and I really would love to hear that album. Excelente álbum, una pena muy grande lo que pasó con estos dos chicos, sobretodo la muerte de Rob. Hasta hoy sigo viendo sus videos y no puedo entender como no los dejaron cantar.
Lo rescatable es que Fab Morvan sigue cantando y lo hace super bien, hace muchas presentaciones, lo sigo en sus redes, nos da mucha motivación y buenas vibras enseñandonos que TODO SE PUEDE si uno se lo propone. Bendiciones Fab y besos hasta el cielo para Rob.
