I realised that most of the things I knew, I couldn’t afford to see if they are truths or lies. I decided to go study economics in the Netherlands. Studying concepts while investing short term and long term. It will very educational to me academically and non academically. I suggest taking the path that defines you more.
I have been struggling with my team of 15 people in office, as recently my responsibilities got expanded and I am working in the innovation dept as well. This video is the thing I needed to get a starting point.
Haha if he was the real deal how come Buffett’s net-worth is over 40x Munger’s? no to take anything away from his ability to analyze financial data and educate himself. The difference is he is willing to talk and Buffett just repeats the same 10 or so concepts because he will never truly pass on his formulas!

I disagree with the "don't try to work things out yourself". Maybe "don't ONLY try to work things out for yourself". But trying (and failing) to figure things out for yourself before looking at the solutions others have come up with is really important.
I think that UA-cam videos are nothing like books, clearly but Also are very helpful. So you should learn with both books an audiovisual material. Also talk with smart people, etc etc

There are some things you can't learn from others, no matter how many books you read on the subject. There are also things that people have "learned" that are simply not true. It's critical to be able to come to your own conclusions based off of the best material, even if that means rejecting what is there.

I am confused about the swiss army knife approach, is the whole premise of it to just handle different problems with different methods? I thought that is obvious and most people do it anyway. For example, if you had a sensitive friend and an angry friend, it would be clear to treat them differently.
Hey Will B, thank you for your comment. I think that the Swiss Army Knife Approach could be used as an idea to strive for more models and tools. To realize that one is never "done" with one's learning experience and to look for tools outside of one's comfort zone/main subject. There's power in learning the most essential stuff across multiple domains. I do agree that the idea is quite simple, but not too many people follow it in practice.
