Tip for killers: It sounds silly, but commentating in your head like Red does on these vids will actually help keep the game in focus and on what you need to be doing at any given time. It works.

For my build, it’s a bit different, but I run: A Nurse’s Calling, Corrupt Intervention, Sloppy Butcher, and Moniter & Abuse. For my add-ons, I generally run the missed shot cooldown and reload speed ones.
Super glad it helped! You're build will be fine against majority of players as long as your hitting shots but you may struggle without slow down against decent swfs
Deathslinger is one of my favorite killers to use forced penance on every so often because he can trigger it's activation when people try to block your pulls OR when they are healing another survivor. It will trigger when you hit a survivor with the spear and hit them after pulling them in to get smacked when they try to do heal and use their body to block the injured.
@@RedsGamingGears Surge is also another fun choice because you can drag a survivor into the 32m radius and down them cause the gen to explode and regress or make it explode and lose another 8% if it was already.
My favorite Killer to play in the game, but I haven't touched this game in like 8 months, because I hate the Dev team behind it. Really great video. To see that hatch crap happen to you as well....yeah, it can feel pretty bad. I don't think that should be allowed, but whatever.

Love the pointers in this video! The way you explained your decision making for a whole match was incredibly helpful. That ending was crushing, but I bet the survivor was ecstatic XD
So, a quick add. Basically, I don’t have Slinger and so don’t play him, but main Huntress, come to main Trickster and basically adore ranged killers in this game, they are pretty much op. I soon got it that a 4,4 killer like them can’t really control the map, so I don’t even bother doing it. Although patrolling gens and hitting them often, I create my builds for them based off information to always be in a chase with someone while finishing games with blood warden. And it REALLY works out.

oh man that hatch. I had a smartass standing in the gate waiting for last moment of endgame collapse (I am high rank but new to deathslinger and it showed) I fluked a quick scope around the corner and reeled him out for the entity. so satisfying
Trial by fire aka one shot one kill. Devour, Haunted grounds, Undying, BBQ or Monitor. The sheer panic when the survivors get the ~~wrong~~ right hex totem brings me joy. Addon wise i don't use reload or cooldown, because I'm trying to hoard them to 100+ 😂
Personally I agree that going for shots when you don’t need to is kind of unnecessary but as j the Deathslinger main would say, it doesn’t matter bc either you you’re gaining something; an injure + game slowdown (deep wound and leaving the survivor) or a free hit can make a spare shot for later like you said
It's the risk reward factor if you can take a free basic attack there little to no risk with a injure being the reward with a shot your taking a risk of missing
Deathslinger is my favorite killer. I run all hexes... Devour, Haunted, Retribution, and thrill. It takes survivors off gens and even if you can't reach a survivor on totem most of the time the info from retribution or combo with haunted pays off so well, this build keeps me at rank 1, recommend trying it out!
yea but that takes a long time to grind for getting all those perks which is what i hate about this game being more new is just dumb why you go vs people with all the purples, games been out for a long time they need to make it easier to get perks, the BP system is outdated.
i use a build consisting of pop, thrilling tremors, surge, and stbfl, with the ammo satchet and gold tooth, and i got 6 merciless killer matches in a row

Yeah took longer than I wanted to get it out. Overall they will sway side to side or just 360 unless your close then they may run into you and deadhard towards your direction
Due to the recent update with flash bangs and generator explosion I’ve been running a build that works decently Haunted ground, light born, monitor and abuse, and barbecue and chili. Light born has been so weirdly helpful since survivors like to blind me as deathslinger constantly

Currently I love tinkerer on deathslinger but my current build set up is barbecue or tinkerer, save the best for last, pop goes the weasle and lethal pursuer
the killer wasn't even that good before this is why i don't like this game they keep nerfing low teir killers and turn them basically into C, D and F teir while survivors is just plain EASY MODE!. i thought this game was fun until how one sided it really is.

Their friends almost always get scared and leave, so even if I shouldn't have had any kills, I almost always get at least one because annoying people won't leave. Edit: I'm in yellow ranks. I don't have a lot of good perks, I'm still working on it. And in these ranks, people make really stupid mistakes like letting me get an ez end game hook.

No ones going to believe me but I have a bayonet on a single shotgun and when playing dead by daylight with a friend i mentioned itd be a cool serial killer being able to hit them once from a distance then bayonet them and he said "yeah theres a killer pretty much exactly like that" and thats how i found my main
I play wraith mostly, tried gunslinger cause I was hoping I could keep to my aggressive playstyle on a different killer, cause tbh, I can't play sneaky, idk why but I keep falling back on the hook and kill playstyle of keeping them on the highest hook state I can cause of those 20 second gen fixers....., hell had one game where they got three while I was downing a player simply cause 1. I couldn't find a hook, 2. They got lucky with the spawns as I was at the end with the least generators, and got tunnel visioned on a survivor who was try to get a gen in the middle of the map, still got 3 cause the switch they went for first was near me, and I got lucky on a fool who didn't see my cause silent ringer and terror/stain suppression for 6 seconds (that and they couldn't loop for crap....) but gunslinger? I can't do that, 1. I swear the melee is finicky, 2. Host vs client side connections. 3. God that melee is finicky.......

I always struggled against death slinger but after seeing how he is properly played and how he acts at loops it has helped me to play against him :)

Tinkerer is a good monitor swap and overall is what i use now and oppression could be swapped for save the best for last, sloppy butcher, or even ruin

Keep in mind along side the 30 days is other killer content. There is just a ton more games for the one killer that get played on a daily basis.

I use spies from the shadows, bbq and chili, retribution, and noed. I may have no regression, but it works pretty well.

Unrelenting only effects missed attack cooldown where as save the best for last cooldown is on successful basics
