Dear Mathis.I been lookng this bike so long time and i was worry abouth seat height.i am 1.64 too, after watchder your vide i decided to buy this bike. but i will buywith lower seat if i can find here. regards from Turkiye
I like Tuareg but my height same as yours, considering the lower seat too. So 82cm is from lower seat+lowering the rear with a special link? Where did that link come from?
@@MathisMotionPictures thx, seat around -1cm by a valid measure as I could see at Hippo's video, hope the link provide more in real, and front -1,5cm could be as the forks should be raised (or drop the upper bridge)
Thanks for your very sincere review. Amazing that if you would have just one bike, it would be this one. Wondering what your other bikes are. And, did you test ride the Yamaha Tenere 700, and if so why did you choose the Tuareg over it? Cheers!
@@MathisMotionPictures My thinking, exactly. I am on the shorter side and think the Tuareg is the solution for me also. It is versatile, sporty, and fun, the only reasons I want to ride a bike. Also , it has all the features to make it a complete, and utilitarian bike. My only gripe is how reliable it is. I live in a hot country and would need to get rid of the cat, and the heat it generates. Looking forward to your future UA-cam contributions. Thanks!
Good to hear it works for you. I read another review saying the low seat is wider than the stock seat. So that makes it harder to touch the ground because the front of the seat is wider. I am 170cm and can ride it ok but am thinking about the short seat.
Hi man ! This video is great , good info .. I’m in love of these bike , the only problem is the high , I’m 1,72cm , my only worry is not to reach the floor with my feet … what do you think ? Knowing that I’m 1,72cm .. keep going with the videos 💪🏼
Height doesn't say that much, how long your legs are in comparison is way more important. If you have the opportunity try to test ride one with the knowledge there is a 2cm lower seat available and if that's not enough lowering the suspension
@@KenKnowledge i guess it depends on your skills and if you want to take it off road or load it with baggage. i was able to rid it only with the lower seat, but i feel more comfortable this way. i do not know my inner seam, but when i get around to it i will take the measure
very nice insights, the Aprilia is an awesome motorcycle
Very helpful. I am 1cm shorter and weight the same. Looking at the tuareg 660 and checking out lowering options for both suspension and seat.
great review. Pleased that this bike was chosen from 50 others. Congratulations also to how you drive on the slimy
Thank you for this information! I was looking for this!
Hi, I have the same height and weight as you. Thank you for the information, it encourages me to buy it.😃
Did you install this lowering kit by yourself ? Can you post instructions ? Thanks !
no, was made by my mechanic

I'm lucky to find your channel, and we are the same height! Your tips are really helpful
But i didn't buy the bike yet
happy to hear, despite lovering it i did not scratch the foot pegs yet. but the center stand is useless now, so i took it off

i will make videos about all my bikes soon. Yes, i tried the tenere and did not like it for many reasons, mainly because it is high and top heavy

@@davidmallia628 i agree, it is a very warm bike and only time will tell how reliable it is. i enjoy every moment i ride it until now
This guy is a G!!
You are doing great in the snow. I'm definitely not as confident as you :D
How are you even able to walk with your balls of steel? ^^ I mean, riding those Rally STR in the snow, haha.
😄i will change there tires as soon as they are done, on the road they are good but off road not...
Hello there, nice video! Could you please give me your feedback on the low seat? Is it comfortable enough for touring purposes?
until now i have done up to 6 hours of riding with only short brakes and felt like i could keep going without any issue. i have a small butt though

thank you! i am 164 cm. i guess you would be fine only with the lower seat
I'm 1.75 i reach the floor without problem

179cm is ok for this bike?
Yes, with normal set up no problem
How did you lower the bike - what is the make of the lowering link? Thanks
It is made by VH-Motorradtechnik, DE 26125 Oldenburg. The part number is 55-A1
Thank you for your excellent review. Could you please tell me if you think that with the normal seat I can reach the floor if I am 1.76m?
that is hard to tell for me... the bike at this hight is limit for me

What's your inner seam in jeans, 30"? Would you think a lower seat would be enough for 168cm/30" inner seam?
