David Schwimmer did direct a couple of episodes of Joey but it seems that's all the Friends support this show got.

unfortunate but shoulda been a clear indication for them that it was not a good idea. i mean joey wasn’t even their first choice so it’s just kinda sad they ruined the finale of friends like that

Such a great couple. Such a terrible show. All the Friends castmates were smart about avoiding this trash. Ted Danson didn't appear on Frasier (the first of many from Cheers) until the 40th episode. Frasier was one of the best TV shows of all time. The trash that is "Joey" was doomed from the start. Even still, David Schwimmer DID help out his friend, Matt LeBlanc and directed 2 episodes of Season 1. Ratings decreased more and more. It was a shocker it even lasted 2 seasons. If it were a hit, they'd have come.

Joey was one of the worst decisions to make a series. It wasn't funny and in whole it just plain sucked i stopped watching it after avout 5 episodes
