What I love about both versions of No Party is that they convey two very different sides of Hallyboo's purpose. The Legacy version of No Party is noticeably more austere and more in line with the rest of the music you composed for the Mario Party DS Anti-Piracy series, and the song portrays Hallyboo as the one who executes the punishment to fit the crime. I also really enjoy the use of leitmotifs from the series, like that from Host Hoedown! Meanwhile, the current version of No Party leans a lot more into the Mario Party-like whimsy with sinister undertones--Host Hoedown is a minigame, after all. Both versions show different sides of the Hallyboo coin and were Hallyboo's songs to be structured like a traditional FNF week, I could definitely see both being used! Anyways, thanks once again to Joey, Marco, and the Mario's Madness team for having me on! It's an honor to reprise my role :)
You’ve probably been asked this a lot but No Party with lyrics would go CRAZY bro. With your voice acting and singing skills with the FIRE music in the back would be a fantastic combination.
This feels like the first song of the two made it in, like how MX got Demise as his second song, and IHY Luigi got Oh God No as his first. Also just a side note, but Alone V2 is nothing like V1. If you were to tell me that they were different songs, without context I would EASILY believe you
While I do have to say that the final product is probably better overall, this one sounds a little more like the stuff you did for the original ARG. I would say that it could've been a bit more up tempo to match that of Host Hoedown, but this is much better than most of the other old versions featured in Mario's Madness. Fantastic job on this either way and I'm glad I was here for the whole ride!
Pretty awesome for an old one still! I love the laughs thrown in this version of the song, V2's version is awesome too but now this makes me wish that version had those, it really adds onto the vibe and shows just how taunting Hallyboo is with all the players who are unfortunate to run into him!
such a fun song!! fits in so nicely with the energy the rest of the anti-piracy series well, i love the clips of juno used (outside of the chromatic, though that's stellar as well), the nudges towards other songs from the series... it's so fun. i'd pick up the mod just for this cut -- nothing against the version we have now, i like that plenty too, but the energy of this track is one i can see myself coming back to more often. excellent work as always : )
Wow, this is pretty much a new song compared to the final version. I love how this feels more like a duel, while Kenny’s is like Hallyboo is toying with BF making it seem like he has a chance. Also I can hear Host Hoedown at 1:47, great touch! While it not have made it into the final version of the mod, it’s still a great song. Excellent job!
upon hearing this for the first time i gasped in delight at just how good it was. seriously i LOVE this version of the song just as much as the new one. great stuff!!
Really loved the detail of you having downscroll active for the music video, since the touch screen (which is at the bottom) is where a lot of the stuff happens from, including Hallyboo's writing mechanic.
YESSSSS Despite the new version being the banger that it is, I loved playing this version and honestly really dig the vibe of it. Technically it's still in the mod so i count both songs as one week ha. Great stuff
Idk if anyone else heard this cuz it's subtle but I love the DS home screen sound effects in the instrumental They're easy to miss but add such a nostalgia factor to the song
Ngl i love this version as much as the final. But i like how this feels more grounded compared to the final version...which irronic enough. Feels like a party lol
This song is way too good to just be an old version of No Party It genuinely stands on its own as another great song for Hallyboo Captures the true boss battle vibes he evoked in the original series while still adding in a touch of his extravagance I love it
I only found out about the Mario Party DS series recently, but watching through it for the first time was an absolute delight, and this version of No Party feels like a perfect love letter to the series as a whole. Fantastic work! I love both versions of this song
ngl, as much as i love the final version of the song, i feel like the vibe of this one is way better due to it fitting with the rest of the og series. i actually really enjoyed this version of no party :D
I love that the song gradually starts to sound more upbeat and whimsical Then hallyboo says piracy is no party and the end of the song goes back to minor key and becomes more dark A perfect representation of how you pirated the game so he won't let you have fun
The current version's tone speaks to me more personally but this is still a really well made song and I genuinely would love to see you do your own mod for Hallyboo and use this in it.
This version to me sounds more fantastical. It still sounds pretty sinister but this also conveys a certain feeling that I can't describe other than being familiar. Like it's nostalgic in a sense. Really makes me feel like I am trapped in the minigame or another world trying to get out the game
I find it kind of odd they remade Nova's version when the final one was already done but I can't blame them, this is fricking awesome, good work to you and RedTV!

Honestly this is better without a doubt Like the current version of no party is good but especially without the luagh and voicelines it doesnt hold a candle to this one
this one is kinda better than the current one due to the voicelines and flow of the whole thing, my only issue with this is that hallyboo's vocals are a bit too quiet
This would go really well for a final song where in the cutscene before this song occurs, DJ HallyBoo turns away to punish Luigi for pirating Mario Party DS, while The Boyfriend uses his microphone to break out. TigBop hears the bars breaking and warns DJ HallyBoo. DJ HallyBoo turns around and sees The Boyfriend who has broken out and is almost at the exit. DJ HallyBoo, who is noticeably bigger than The Boyfriend, grabs him, causing him to drop and break his microphone. He then tosses his microphone aside, resizes The Boyfriend to his original size, then challenges him to an actual fight. Yes, Tigbop is the name of the hat.
