Out of context: Shy soldier boy jumps off plane with no parachute to avoid dating advice from kind lady.
“Cap shouldn’t you put on a parachute?”
“No, I don’t think I will”
Even though he turned out to be a villain, I love how Rumlow is so genuinely in awe of Cap. Rumlaw always had the best reactions to whatever Cap does, all the way up to Endgame in the elevator.
Steve fought bucky, rumlow, and stark without compromising his principles
And yet somehow he still thought that bunch of guys in an elevator would be able to take cap.
@@myrixica4222 to be fair its clera that their goal in that fight wasn't to 'take' cap. it was to disable him with the magnet bracelets. and it nearly worked. the fighting was just a distraction
@@myrixica4222 True but ya gotta try, right?😄
That's the thing about Cap, even his worst enemies know how great he is
The amount of control he has over his strength is astonishing. One second he does a simple punch to the gut and the next he kicks that guy all the way across the ship
RIGHT🤣🤣🤣🤣
He didn't skip leg day

True,Cap's been around for 80 years now but remember that for a lot of people who don't read comic books, they're introduced to these characters via the movies.
I've heard a lot of people say that they became fans of Captain America because of the Marvel movies.

Sure,a lot of the fans know and revere him but most people in the general public who know who Stan Lee is have never heard of other comic book legends like Jack Kirby,Joe Simon,Gil Kane,Steve Ditko,John Romita Sr,Joe Kubert,Roy Thomas,Marv Wolfman,Bill Everett,Len Wein, etc.
@@danschuster5187 Speaking of Stan being given credit for characters he didn't create, did you know that shortly after the death of Stan Lee, Hugh Jackman actually said in an interview that Wolverine was one of Stan Lee's characters?

Fact
The fact that Steve jumped out of the plane without a parachute shows how confident his mind has become. He has fully embraced the persona of becoming Captain America.
It’s tragic also in some way. Whatever life he had is long gone and he’s 100% committed to being Captain America since that’s all he has left

@@ladiesman-mt5si Even a regular person with a lifetime of training can go toe to toe with a super soldier.
@@xshxr the only reason that happened was because steve didnt actually want to hurt the guy. Just bring him in for questioning. Hit him to hard, hes dead. Hit him to light, nothing happens or he is simply dazed. Steve needs to hit the batroc with a specific amount of force to take him out. But some people can take harder hits than others so it's hard to find that point. And batroc can take way more than his pirates can so it's a little offputting for steve to have to figure out what he can and cant take. He let's himself be shoved down a few times to give himself time to figure out batrocs fighting capabilities as well. Batroc was the target here, not his men.
I'd be so happy to be kicked in the chest with such force that I went flying out of a ship

Fun fact, in an interview with the Russo’s, they said their goal with this scene and their version of Cap was to make the audience think “oh shit!”. It certainly worked.
Opening night of this film myself and a date met up with two friends of mine for movie night/double date. The auditorium we were in was completely packed to full capacity with no empty seats available.
Soon as Cap destroyed the two pirates with his shield I immediately sat up in attention. Then the kick of death happened and I screamed: "HOLY SHIT!". From that moment I was sold on the film and didn't even pay attention to my date for the rest of the night. I was completely locked in.

The unique feature of vibranium is that it can absorb all vibrational energies so it doesnt actually produce any noise

I love Rumlowe in this scene. It's clear he wasn't lying in the Elevator... he visibly admires Cap, is even proud of what he can do. But he's Hydra. And when Hydra says that Cap needs to go down, it's business.
I think Rumlow did think of himself as Steve's friend. As Rumlow saw it, he was doing his job for HYDRA. So he wasn't lying when he said that it wasn't personal.

I absolutely agree, but it also has the most blatant "Where's the Avengers?" plot hole out of all the MCU. How in the hell is SHIELD going to get overtaken and not a single Avenger aside from Nat/Widow going to come and help?
You can clearly say, that those both Hydra agents might hate SHIELD, but they truly respect Cap's strength.

His martial art skill development is so underrated. In the first avenger he fights like a 1940’s brawler, big slow punches looking like an old school boxer, pretty basic with the shield. Here he’s an expert martial artist, moves with stealth and speed and has totally mastered the shield.
Yet he had no time to train like this. You don’t master multiple forms of martial arts in four years. It’s kind of silly.

It also symbolizes the "compromised" nature of SHIELD at this point
These pirates get absolutely murked lol. The best thing about this scene is we see how much more formidable cap has become since the first avengers. He is literally RUNNING full speed and not slowing down and he just walks through some of these guys. It’s a great way to visually show us that cap has updated his fighting style with modern times.
Also clarifies that he's ruthless in combat. As I see it, he doesn't much care whether the force is lethal or not. If they get up the next day, no problem, but if the concussion caused a lethal stroke, or if that guy he kicked off the ship died in the water... also not a problem.

I love how in The First Avenger, Cap only throws his shield and fistfights while in The Winter Soldier, he's more in combined martial arts fighting style
It's a nice evolution. In first Avenger, he hadn't the time to train his skills in martial combat (because of the war and I think he was too skinny), just only experience that he had gained when he fought against Hydra's operatives.
After 70 years of sleeping, cap knew that he needs to improve his skills because the war was over and he had free time to practice some modern martials combat
Even though it wasn't in his list of movies to watch, he caught 'Enter The Dragon' while learning how to channel surf.
Also Cap was carrying a pistol a lot as it's set in WW2 so he didn't. Need to throw the shield as much
Cap is actually one of the best Martial Arts combatants in Marvel comics. Top 5? Definitely. Possibly even Top 3. He actually doesn’t get enough credit for how well he can fight.
But he’s Top 3 in leadership, for sure! There’s a reason why Cap is so respected in the Marvel universe, by both allies AND enemies. His enemies may hate him, but they respect him and certainly don’t underestimate him.
I was actually talking this over with a friend and I said, " He's been in the modern day for 3 years at this point. You really think he wouldn't take all the special forces training SHIELD had to offer in that time?"
It’s been 8 years and yet this is hands down the best MCU movie!
Cap's front kick is truly something special

The reason why Steve is the only Gem💙
1:10 Cap doing his Arkham stealth missions
"THE ENEMY CANNOT PULL AN ALARM IF YOU DISABLE HIS HAND." 1:52
that Rumlow guy seems really cool, let's hope him and Steve will be really good friends in future
These goons are nothing, *only GSP can put up a good fight against Cap...*
Who gsp
@@imashish677 georges st pierre, the guy who plays batroc. Oh yeah, he has 29-0 record on ufc too, soo...
@@akmalrizawibisono8165 you forget a two weight class champ
@@akmalrizawibisono8165 thats khabib's record my friend lol
@@morenoananto1574 oh yeah you're right, my fault lmao. gsp has 26-2 record
Damn I love how so heavy Cap's kicks are.
I love the switch off running when we can't see cap, it's simple, an extremely effective use of visual aid to give the illusion that cap is super human.
The world misses you cap. It is falling apart. They need you. You are always an ideal for the people.
plenty of space in the muliverse
I would definitely agree with this.. Even more so than someone like Superman, considering what Superman stands for. Or is MEANT to stand for.
One of the best fight scenes in the MCU or just ever
highway fight vs winter soldier is the best Imho
@@andreymaleganov2206 you got a point
Not much of a fight. More like a slaughter on caps behalf. Lol
1:27 Im pretty sure this guy died even before he hit the fence and fell to the sea😂😂😂. Savage Capt America
Just like the elevator scene. Every kick/punch/throw/shield meant SERIOUS damage to the guards. IF...they didn't die, the injuries must have been horrendous.
The one in particular. 1:27 He kicks the guy into the rail so hard he goes overboard. Oooof!
And with the force his lower back takes as he goes overboard , I would not be surprised if he's paralyzed from the waist down.
Nate Higman best case scenario, he was knocked unconscious and drowned. Worst case, he was crippled in agony before eventual drowning.
@@derekcheesball1248 Yup
This is like watching a speedrun of some game
0:36-0:42 that music😭😩..idk what it is but it’s too damn good
henry jackman is a genius
Absolutely
Somewhere in an alternate universe...
Captain Carter: I've got a shield, you’ve got a sword.
Black Widow: More like knives, but cute wordplay.
This whole scene is perfection
1:28
Imagine being the dude who Cap ran a good 30 meters to build enough momentum to get kicked so hard you bounce off a wall and just disappear from existence. I know they put effort to show captain American not killing very many people, but that dude is fucking dead
At the absolute best outcome for him - he's never walking again.
Best solo movie of MCU !!! The Winter Soldier is the most bad ass villain ever
One of the best Superhero movie ever made in history 😮😮😮
