- We had a feeding problem on the farm. The DIY fence line feeder that we built has solved the problem. In this video we show how its built and the setup.
Get rid of the two side panels, pull the panel with the feed trough to the fence and attach to the t-post for support, pour feed from outside fence. add more troughs as needed for herd.
That’s a good idea except that it’s hard to pour feed through goat fencing ( square field fence). Also I will use the small corral as a catch pen.

love the shirt for farming 😬. why don't you run the new panels parallel to the wire fence, close the end gaps off with something, then with the feeder inbetween the panels and wire fence, then just from outside you can pour the feed in through the wire fence and then they can only get at the feeder threw the panels side,
we have also done something similar with ours to stop the crazy rush when we go in the field to feed.
that's one way..like it.
I just used 2 4 foot gates on the end .
Why not have the trough in the inside of your square pen? That way they stick their heads through the panels, and not be walking in the trough.
I have been thinking about trying that. I hope that their horns will fit without getting caught.
You need a gate so can feed without getting in with the goats. Now if you can keep them from standing and pooping in the trough.
