Hey Zetnus, I´ve been looking around your videos. They are cool as hell! Let me tell you, I'm into cinematics, VFX for films using realtime renders like Unreal Engine and I´d love to know if there´s a way to get the bitmaps of a random map generated in the AOE editor. So I can pull greyscale maps to get the elevation of a map, or other features like the position of the water and/or trees. Are these features generated procedurally using codes? My dream would be to recreate an AOE map in Unreal and create a cinematics out of it! I hope what I say makes sense! thank you!!
There is an implementation in Python I believe that allows you to parse scenarios. This might help for what you are hoping to achieve. Search for "aoe2 scenario parser"
