Out of curiosity, did you bulk for the 4th move and cut weight for the 15th move? Also what was your height and weight for the 10th move?

It looks like the last big move to the lip is primarily hamstring dominant in order to generate the momentum needed, but from the start rips, you're getting the heel hook set and holding the tension and the knee at roughly 90 degrees, but not extending slightly beyond 90 degrees in order to lengthen the hamstring before initiating the movement again from the hammy with the extra 10 percent pull from the increased ROM. Seems obvious watching behind the screen, but I'm sure the move feels absolutely limit from the start! This has to be one of my all time favourite climbing videos, although I will - most likely never come close to climbing at this level - it's still awesome when you can learn and take away subtleties from such a simple video. I really enjoy watching the pros through their processes of sending limit rigs. The movements or how you take the holds so precisely somehow reminds me of Gioia for some reason.

Such a relatable experience. Way to stick with it and not get too negative and in your head. Looks savage!

Hey, thic nic.👋 As a guy with a some Viking genetics myself, you and Matt inspire me. It's really cool to see bulkier dudes defying the conventional wisdom that you have to be small or thinly built to climb hard.

What do your skin tactics look like for being able to go from nearing a split to having a session the next day? Do you cover your skin after moisturizing?

Do professional outdoor climbers get paid enough by their sponsors and brand deals to climb full time?

I’m lucky to have incredible sponsors that support me with a salary and provide reimbursements for gas, tickets, etc. but I also do remote coaching through OTGstrength which I love! Additionally, Hailey is a nutritionist for climbers and athletes, so that provides additional income for us as well.

@@matt_fultz Hope you will get a much deserved raise in the near future. Thanks Matt for giving hope to taller climbers (I'm 6'5"). Any plans towards: ROTSW, Alphane, Burden? Also Cheers for Hailey and her lovely support as always.:)
