Atlantic did her a disservice by not allowing her to release the songs she wrote. Those songs she wrote or co-wrote most often weren't picked up because she loved ballads and songs with emotion. They pegged her for the common pop culture of the '80s and wanted her to perform songs that matched the image they developed of her. The world missed out and Laura's love of emotional songs, letting her truly show the world her greatest love, was undermined. Thank you for giving us these demos and especially the songs she wrote or co-wrote. We lost a shining star way too young. She was excited about the cd she was putting together before she passed way because she was doing it on her own label and no one to censor her or limit her.
