Just an FYI, there are few places everywhere in USA not specifically in California which are not safe. But California is the most welcoming state in all US better than east coast.
I only lived in US and NYC for 31 years, prove me wrong. I have traveled 47 states, please tell me your real expertise. You can get shot in front of white house and you can be well protected in the hood.
