Probably the moment the hitman's bullet went in. Ian got a few weeks away from the chip shop and the possibility it could be claimed back from tax and insurance... And Cindy got the glimmer of hope that several key arteries had been severed...and she could swap Portacabin carpet burns for David's actual bed. Damn Walford General surgical department... Happy Days....
You can tell that Cindy in her initial 1988 appearance was supposed to be closer to Simon and Donna’s age, i.e., 23 or 24. By ‘89 the character had been ‘aged down’ to barely into her 20s (and Ian aged up by a year) allow Ian to become entangled in her schemes. Incidentally Michelle Collins was 26 in 1988.
Shame its been repetitive and Cindy hasn't developed at at. I didnt need Cindy constantly cheating again. Been there done that and Ian has been through so much now hes just not as deserving of it. Junior too lacks the strength of character a Max Branning does. The writing just hasnt been there. Her excuses are nonsense and repetitive yet everyone buys them. Stop trying to play sympathy with her. Shes too one note for that. Janine has more depth.
Wow that was a throwback in time. I've been watching EE since the very beginning when I was just 15. All of us kids in school finally had something to relate to other than 'boring Corrie' (I love it now though lol). As for Cindy, I didn't like her then and I still don't like her now. I've enjoyed her return to the square though.
If Phil and Grant had left Cindy and her children in Italy, Steven and Lucy would still be alive...having never met the hands of Max Branning and Bobby Beale... And Cindy Jnr would have had a mother... Plus, their culinary skills would have been more continental than...chips.. C'est la vie...
Didn't Barry helped Cindy by giving her the number of hitman to have Ian shot and afterwards Phil and Grant confronted him. Barry and David helped Cindy escape the country with her two kids accidentally leaving Lucy behind thanks Pat looking after her. If it was I'm surprised Barry had the brains to do a thing like this. I'm correct it happened.
Yes, Barry in his sporadic appearances between 1994-96 was a nasty underworld character with gang affiliations. They ‘flanderised’ him as the years went on (or maybe Natalie ‘changed him’)
@@francofan100 Yeah I remember he was like a streetwise womanizer dodgy geezer businessman during his early years. Surprised about Barry it's similar to Billy change. But one question when did Barry had a personality transplant changed into a loveable comic bumbling clown was it 1997 when he got conned by Vanessa or 1998 before Nigel left or even 1999 which one he transition. Hey. Sorry I didn’t answer your questions. Barry was made a regular character after he did time for arson in 1996. I don’t know when they did a personality transplant but Eastenders usually make the actor/character line up more the longer they’re in the soap and having a criminal in a soap full time (that the audience needs to believe in) is going to problematic. Hence why Nick only did short stints here and there.
@@francofan100 Oh okay I see that's fine but I think Barry probably changed the following year but I believe it was before he met Natalie didn't met her until 1999. But Nick is a great villian loved him.
I think he had a heart attack and was dead in hospital but no one knew, so they thought it was because he’d fallen out with Ian over him marrying Cindy
