Good day sir. I have been trying to learn how to pray in Igbo traditional way. I'm from Igbo land but I live in a foreign land. It's difficult for me to find all the necessary praying items. But I can be able to get few of them. Is it good for me to pray with the ones that I was able to get or is it compulsory for all the items to be complete? Thank you. Your response will be a great help to me.
I cannot honestly tell you when to make your prayers. And I cannot also tell you when to use Oji. I believe you should be the one to answer your questions. Mmadu ya ka ghota onwe ya.
Thank you very much, I have learnt a new one today, meanwhile, I have one question, is it okay to use the Edo to plead for forgiveness, because that's what I do, immediately after Itu nzu. Dalu
Forgiveness? Well, Nzu and Oji are the main material for any kind of prayer. Unless you feel like cleansing yourself, alligator pepper, water and akwukwo Abosi can now suffice. This does not mean you cannot do whatever thing your mind asks you. Meanwhile, do you ask for forgiveness everyday?

Please follow the law or rule in your family. As a person I pray with hot drink but I do not take alcohol. I have some forces I pray to that you cannot spill blood on their altar, I also have a power point I propitiate that do not allow alcohol to be spilled on its altar. So, give alcohol to the people and forces that drink it and refrain from pouring alcohol to forces that abhors it. You must know that each forces have their own different terms and conditions.
I have two questions for you. Firstly; Can a woman break cola during morning prayer in the absence of men. I know it's right for a woman to break cola in the presence of men, buh during her morning prayer can she break it in the presence of a man. Then secondly; i watched a video where one ezenwanyi was teaching and trying to make us understand that after the breaking of the cola, u just share it and present it to forefathers and chi. According to her, u don't need to start demanding the meaning or interpretation of the oji coz u didn't use it for afa. She said that u can only seek the interpretation only when you used the oji for afa..... So please what do you think about this? I'm hoping to get an answer 😊
what you do in your secret place is between you and your forces. Morning kola used in igo ofo ututu is not divination. Besides its those who understand the language of kola that knows what the kola is saying. This goes for both man and woman. There are many wrong interpretation of what kolanut is saying flying around. After Igo Ofo, eat your share of the kola and leave what the kola is saying or isnt saying to the experts.
This channel is open to all. If you feel using in English is a problem, please feel to use Igbo and teach. Perhaps, when you do, you will realise their many others already doing it. Meanwhile, I have argued elsewhere that people will still use French, Chinese, Arabic to explain Igbo. Stop being limited in your thinking.

Sir please am i allowed to tuo nzu since my father is still alive. I heard that you shouldn't tuo nzu if your father is alive except if he permits you, that doing so means that you want him dead.
Some of these rules were made when sons lived with their fathers. If you have a space of your own as a son, you must throw Nzu. The idea that you cannot throw Nzu in front of your father is akin to saying there cannot be two captains in a ship. But when you are no longer on the same ship with your father and now have your own ship, does common sense not dictate for you to captain your own ship?
