I think you are not from Mumbai the above 3 are already present. There are AC locals but they run only on Peak hours, the distance between stations is also high and fast locals skips multiple stations, the railway tracks are also dedicated very rarely you will see the express train occupying slow track. In Delhi, RRTS needed dedicated tracks and this made the construction cost skyrocket.. Mumbai already has extensive track infra. The existing local tracks should be replaced with tracks which are compatible with RRTS and replace the long-distance locals with RRTS on these tracks.

It was always like that I've said that in previous videos too cities like Chennai,Kolkata & Mumbai will never get RRTS as they already have local train even Bengaluru won't get because they planned local train. Also the frequency needs to be increase in order to move Public in between those cities at more frequency. I disagree here. Talking about Mumbai Pune, every weekend travelling between the cities is a mess. The missing link will help solve some of it but a Mumbai Pune and Mumbai Nashik RRTS will only help the economies of all 3 cities
Tbh Mumbai needs RRTS. Mumbai's Suburban rail is nowhere near to that of RRTS. And even after Vande metro, Mumbai will have to wait for more than 20 years for its Suburban rail to reach near to that of RRTS. Upgradation of station infra with ATC gates, addition of new rail lines that too in ghat section, cbtc signalling and complete segregation of local lines. All this will take min 20 years since any infra upgradation on Suburban network takes a lot of time. Take any project of MRVC be it MUTP2,3 or 3A, there have been significant delays of decades for the project completion. It's much easier to have a new system rather than wait for the current messed up infra to upgrade.

Personally I'm against RRTS in Mumbai as we already will be having a dense metro network and good network of local trains + we'll be having bullet train as well adding RRTS will just become more confusing for citizens, I think we should rather focus on improving the local train network( new type of coaches, timings, speed) this will be much greater help rather than investing in RRTS in Mumbai

Mumbai Suburban has a quite expanded network across the MMR region but the major issue is that people have to choose between getting late and safety.

If we have Vande Metro, why do we need RRTS in Delhi?
Vande metro will just conjuste more traffic on line nothing will be useful none the less dedicated line is their.

Personally I'm against RRTS in Mumbai as we already will be having a dense metro network and good network of local trains + we'll be having bullet train as well adding RRTS will just become more confusing for citizens, I think we should rather focus on improving the local train network( new type of coaches, timings, speed) this will be much greater help rather than investing in RRTS in Mumbai
Its so sad to see that in the past there were cities like Delhi, Bombay, Madras, Calcutta
But now its just Delhi and Mumbai only

Chennai Kolkata and Mumbai don't really need rrts. We already have a very solid local train network. So the funds for making an rrts should be used to upgrade existing locals

Kolkata first needs updated coaches, improved tracks, more rolling stock, ac coaches, more capacity, updated signalling etc. So instead of investing in a flashy project like rrts that won't have much scope for the common people, the govt must invest in improving the local train infra first. Delhi got rrts because they lack a good local train system
