FIRST SNOW IN IDAHO! 2018 Jeep JL Rubicon unlimited 3.6L.Spinning Doughnuts 4.10 gears 40" Tires

FIRST SNOW IN IDAHO for the winter of 2020! 2018 Jeep JL Rubicon unlimited with stock 3.6L engine. Stock 4.10 gears. 40" Milestar Patagonia M/T tires. The trick to get good wheel spin with this setup is to use low range, Traction control off, start off in 4th gear and advance just to 5th. This will keep you in the good power band that his 3.6L engine was designed for.

Ripping that pretty good!!!! My 3.8 won’t spin my 40’s like that for anything!!!

I know some guys with the 3.6 in JKs that have trouble doing this. I believe the main difference is the 8sp automatic transmission that comes equipped on the JL models. Even with these 40’s and stock 4.10 gears, the Jeep on the highway still accelerates very well! The gears are so close together that the trans really keeps the rpm In the peak torque and HP range as u down the throttle. 👍🏻
