I came here exactly because of slow boot time. I can’t help myself but to ask here, I have an MSI MEG ACE X670E and my memory is 6400 CL 32 TridentZ . My problem is there regardless of with or without XMP enabled. So when it’s on 4800MHrz it would take around 30 seconds to post and around 41 seconds each time until Windows boots. And when it’s on 6400 XMP it takes around 40 seconds to post and 52 second until windows startup . Now I’ve just played with the timings and put it on 6000 CL 30. I’ve enabled “memory context restore” which followed that I had to enable “power down enable” as well. Now the mobo posts around 18 seconds and OS starts at 22. I changed the motherboard to an Asus ROG X670E-E, boot time still didn’t change, changed the memory kit to one exactly like it, didn’t change, changed the M.2 drive from which the OS loads, didn’t change (obviously cause the problem is the time for it to post, not the OS). Changed is the CPU boot time still the same. I really can’t understand, best case scenario is with “memory context restore” and “power down” enabled to get 22 seconds until OS
Unfortunately, the only time I won't crash ( or haven't up to this point) on my Asus Rog strix B650-a Gaming wifi is with Expo off. I've tried several combinations, including what is in this video and manually setting my timing on my G.Skill DDR5 2x16 F5-6000J3238F16GX2-FX5 1.35 memory. The longest I was able go without crashing and rebooting was almost 4 hours. I'm on day 10 of my build. All parts are bought from Microcenter. I have a few days left before I can return this. I gave up on trying the million difference combinations in the bios after I was told at Microcenter, "all I have to do is turn on Expo" and nothing else. It runs fine with expo off and boots to the desktop like in 8 seconds. This would be my 3rd return in a row. The fist motherboard ( Gigabyte) would not even boot. Maybe it would help if Microcenter would sell compatible QVL memory on these combo deals. I don't know if I should just keep it with the default 4800 memory speed running great or take it back because it won't run at 6000 like they told me it would.😢
@@MitchHaman It's more likely the CPU that's the problem. AMD tells us not to go above the rated 5200 on these CPU's, and the reason some run fine amd others dont can only be explained by sylican lottery or delayed memory training. For example, our Space Yeti build is running stable with a 7600x and 2x16 Kingbank memory at 6400. I spent an entire saturday stress testing and gaming on it before I felt comfortable listing that speed in the sale. In that case, i think we hit big on the sylican lottery. On the other hand, my personal rig you see in this video had the same problem you're having now with it's 7700x. I would blue screen before i even got into Windows. Then i did a deep dive about the memory controllers on these 7000 series CPU's and decided to try a suggestion I saw on Reddit before just returning the CPU and it actually worked. I set it down to 5600 manually for a few days and then tried enabling EXPO. Been running stable at 6000 without a single issue since. It makes absolutely 0 sense to me considering it has been power cycled many times but it's still stable as a brand new table. Probably some sort of delay happening in the cache. But since I can't explain it, I wouldn't suggest you do that unless you have enough time left in your return window.
@@BeZTechs Sorry I missed this. My PC would randomly reboot and mostly while in a stream yard live stream. I switch out the memory, the power supply, took the RtX 4060 out and just used the onboard VGA. Ran at 5200. Now of it helped. I made no less than 5 100 mile round trips to Microcenter switching parts. This last time, I had enough. I returned it all and got a refund. Not buying anything from Microcenter anymore. stil slow omg. I did this with vengeance 5600 but still 40sec - 1 minute. Even with memory context and updated bios. Soimetimes memory crap lead to blue screen
well, feel yourself lucky. all the fixes only made mine do it less often, but when training hits, it goes for 20minutes.... and i am not even forcing the 6k anymore, just 5600.
is there a bios update for this fix? cus like u said, its abit unstable and i dont wanna do self harm to my comp and id rather wait those 10-15 seconds than having my systems crashed. btw, how imprtant is it to update my bios? i did it for recommendation of my ryzen 78003dx cpu cus there were some stock issues regarded that cpu and mb. so i did a update once i installed it. but like now almost a year later....do i need to update? how often shall i update? will it fix the post time issues like this in the video? thnx in advance.

@@BeZTechs I tried it with and without. In both instances it would freeze on me. It got till a point that I no longer could F10 any changes in the Bios. It would just freeze on me.
I wonder if this was ever fixed? Yeah that's probably a good idea. If you want a good fast booting B650 board, check out the Aorus Elite V2. We used one in our Black Mamba build and I was in love with it. One of the few B650 I've seen that boots quickly at factory settings.
@BeZTechs darn, I ordered this exact asus board a day after commenting and it just arrived today. I almost got the gigabyte you mentioned. Darn 😞 I will see what I can do with it. If it doesn't do what I want then I will get the gigabyte instead.
@NamelessProductionStudio Sorry man, been pretty busy these couple days. Ironically I even considered swapping my board out for the Aorus too. The bios is suuuuper clean too.

thanks for the video bro my pc booted up so slow and I randomly stumbled across this video i never knew i needed now it boots up so fast.
Your mobo is ddr4 ?

Asrock is the fastest among big mobo brand, MSI is The slowest. Asus is in third place while gigabyte is second
On my system this led to instability, so I set memory training back to Enable in BIOS, with time, boot became faster.
Try, going via asus ai overclocker and going to ram thr this option has another option above it for power something enable that

I wouldn't update the bios at this point if everything's running okay. Manufacturers actually recommend not updating as long as it's running okay.
