    I'm considering HK Nano next. Carrying my equipment around is getting harder with age. This is the best review I've seen. Thank you.

    Good video. I’m looking for a system as a Dj for small parties and what is super small. Think I found what I need now... probably gonna buy the new bundle of 2x 602’s. they include the poles with intern wiring and connections.
    What do you think? Will this do for Dj use for let’s say max 100 people? Thank you.

      WEll please take into consideration where you use this system I don't advise outdoors open air unless the people are really near to you. as for in dooR venue I think it would work perfectly but instead of getting two 602. get the 608i with a 602 that what you have more channels to work with since the HK Nanos do comes with a built-in mixer and reverb for mic and instruments.. this is just an idea to consider when buying, in the end, its your choice but I say go into a store and test the two systems separately and then together and raise the volume to a level you a comfort that you think you would do live to get a feel then half that sound because bodies absorb sound. if you still feel the same way after then go for it. I love my HK. I use my 608i with 602 for everyday gigs when I'm solo or with keys and bass and drums. and for larger places example big halls or outdoors with more than 200 people I use my 608i as a mixer and monitors and run a line to my HK gala system as the front system... CLEAN LOUD BALANCE SOUND.
      P.S YOU CAN ALWAYS JUST GET A HK GALA SYSTEM IF YOU HAVE A MIXER ALREADY AND THAT WOULD WORK WELL FOR SMALL AND LARGER PLACES. DO SOME HOMEWORK ON IT.
      ALL THE BEST IN YOUR CHOICE

    How you doing my friend y hope you ok and do very well, ask what is the role of the apogee one ,and can I use. a iPad or laptop with it

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  3 роки тому +1

      The apogee makes sure the sound going through is always at its best. You can just use a iPad but you will notice the volume is higher with the apogee . .. I just find music sounds better going through the apogee before going to the speakers

    What happens if you need more mic channels ? can I hook up my Allen & Heath to one of the inputs ? right now my gig consist of 3 mikes and a laptop...

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  6 років тому +1

      yes you can hook up a mixer to the system to extend your channel use or you can use the main mic on channel one and the second channel put a mic splitter so you can two mics on it now but they will have the same settings if thats cool for you then you don't need a mixer. also, there are outs just for the laptop on the right side of the mixer and you connect it Bluetooth also if you have a 608i.. hope this helps. dont hesitate to ask any other questions..

    Hey! Thanks for making this video 😊 I have been looking at this system for over a year. I'm a solo singer and I really like how compact and portable it is. The only thing putting me off is that most people use the two systems and I can't afford two at the moment. Would you say one system is enough for a pub gig or party with 100-150 people?

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  5 років тому +2

      choosing the correct system is tricky . i have used the hk nano 608i for 150 people but i didnt have much head room and found the light flashed red abit but it worked. having two systems just gives you the head room to push more but feel confident the crowed wont swollow you up... but the price is much.i would suggest you look at the HK gala system in combination tc helicon for reverb and play back or a mixer..

    Hay nice work I have a 608i linked to a 602.
    What do you do for monitoring.
    I’ve just bought in ears but can only get a mono mix through one side and I want it in both ?

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  6 років тому +2

      hey, Paul, I have never used in ears with my system. I would say try connecting it using a splitter from the left and right keyboard/ instrument channel into your receiver for your in ears... Why don't you just put the system behind you? because how HK design their speakers you get little to no feedback at all when you have the system behind. I will be showing how this is done in upcoming videos this weekend so look out for that. how what i suggested helps. do let me know what are the results after trying..

      Cheers Nicholas
      Thanks for your advice I’ve been using this system for 12 months now and it’s great. just on a couple of gigs I play,the wooden floor and low ceilings have given me feedback regardless of placement. So I brought the system to the front to counter the feed back but then I need monitoring but I’ll keep Persevering.

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  6 років тому

      @@acoustric1 DO YOU MAX OUT THE volume when on gigs cause for my mic I keep it 20 to 12 and for the main volume I put it at maybe 80 per cent. but when I make the video I will address this and from seeing what I do tell me what you think

    • @acoustric1
      @acoustric1 6 років тому

      Not really I have the master at about 1 o’clock and the channel set at about 11 so loads of head room.

    cool setup man, i have a lucas nano 600 and i´m thinking add a 608i

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  5 років тому +1

      IF YOU AS 600 AND A 608I YOU CANT MAX OUT THE SYSTEM IN VOLUME BECAUSE THE 608I IS LOUDER THAN THE 600 SO WHEN THE 608I IS JUST GETTING LOUD THE 600 IS MAXING OUT AND PEAKING RED ALREADY SO. JUST THINGS TO CONSIDER. BUT GO TEST IT IN THE STORES.

    Great video!.......i am almost convinced that this is the way I need to go! Actually, I have a question, how big is the sub compared to the sub of the nano 300?

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  7 років тому

      I DONT KNOW THE DETAILS because I never own the 300 but I would say don't waste your money getting it, instead buy a nano 600 or nano 608i. the sound you will love and you will have extra headroom compared to the nano300.. hope this Helps

    • @Jazzmarcel
      @Jazzmarcel 7 років тому

      Nicholas Albert thanks brotheten!......i saw the 300 on a store here in France and it had mad bass and was compact and small.
      I did a shit load of research online after I saw your video so, I started to get the idea of the 600. It's just now I must wait a little longer because it's more money!
      Yo' Keep up with the videos, brah you got talent!

    • @Jazzmarcel
      @Jazzmarcel 7 років тому

      ONE LAST QUESTION, brah i found a used lucas 600 here in paris for 600euro. i heard you mention that the new 608i is louder, do you think the different in volume and performance is worth buying over a 608i?......

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  7 років тому +1

      Sorry in advance for the long message but I got a bit carried away just want you to choose correctly. and I do love MY system.
      I WOULD SAY SAVE your money and buy the new system because of the following points. 1( you do know if the person who is selling the used system used to push it over its limits and could have damage to the mini speaks shortening its lifespan.2( the 600 does everything the 608i does but doesn't have blue tooth which allows use on a ipad and mix your sound in detail or as presets) 3(the 600 doesn't have REVERB if you a singer you will find this a bit upsetting dragging a separate REVERB unit to connect.) 4(608i is newer it will have bug fixes and add on from its previous systems.
      NOW the best advice I could give you is to go visit a dealer and hear them both side by side.. I Just found when i connect my 600 and 608i together i have to back off on volume because the HK600 would peak red first. Maybe its me and the fact i have had the system for awhile i notice this. I do advise you to go do your homework on it before buying.
      Question: what are you buying the system for?? if its one HKnano this will only work for a duo in realistic situations. and a acoustic band .
      if you thinking for a full on band then you need two systems and have to monitior the kick and bass dont clash.. if its for a band you should look at the Elements system instead. because i would class hk nano for solo musicans and if used with a band it will sound amazing just monitior the base out put.
      hope this helps you. happy hunting buddy!

    Also do you need a monitor with this for solo vocalist

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  5 років тому

      no you dont if you put it behind you . so poeple say they get feed back but the system is optimised for this not to happen only when you change the setting you will get feedback...P.S i am a solo vocalist and thats what i use for my gigs . and recently added the bose s1 pro to my set up but more as a backup in case power goes out

    Hi Nicholas, would you say that the HK600 series would be correct for public speaking (vocal-only presentation for about 80-100 people). I'm considering this for a small live band but also to use in a presentation context in small venue (about 40ft x 40ft). What do you think?

    • @NicholasAlbert0759
      @NicholasAlbert0759  6 років тому

      HI YES, IT WOULD BE ENOUGH for the speaking as for the band I'm not sure depends on what you got connected to it. when I use a band on my system I normally used two HK so that when you plug in drums and bassman their is headroom for if you wish to raise it and the system isn't pushed to its limits. now saying that you need to understand hk600 and 608i work better with duos and trios. if you using a band you will need more than one. unless the place is very small and in that case you don't need to mic the drum.
      now for the size of the room 40ft x 40ft, it can work. but take into account this factors hight of the room and make sure you put the system in stereo when you use it and remember angle the tops if you not sure what I'm saying just go to an HK site and watch how they place the speaker for a full room cover. really hope this helps also I advise you to go listen and test them before you consider buying to make sure it for you. as for me HK forever lol p.s look at the elements also great for bands..
