- BEST national park water holes in Australia. This week we take a drive out to Karijini National Park to explore what we have heard is " The best national park for water holes" and we can say " Its the best we have seen" or what we could see".
Karijini national park was a huge gamble for us as we could not get a dog sitter but we never gave up and we headed into the unknown. We stopped at Tom price for some supplies and we headed to the out skirts of the NP as we travel with a dog. We couldn't get a dog sitter but we decided to see what we could and what we saw was amazing.
Next time we will be more prepared and book a dog sitter well in advance.

New segment for your channel - Hiking with the Howarth’s 😂😅
I wish covid had happened 30 yrs ago as that's when I started watching UA-cam. (Obviously not possible then lol). Now I'm too old to do what you are doing but I'm visiting these places vicariously through you. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Never too old, Jean 😊
LOVIN THE ENERGY D! you are hilarious 😂 😂 PS I'm the same! GOOD AT GOING DOWN BUT ITS COMING BACK UP!😂🙃🤣XXXX
Some great scenery, thanks for sharing. Gotta go lie down now, after all that walking you did..
"We will be back again" is the best attitude. You can't do everything otherwise there's nothing to look forward to the next time you visit. Travelling is the best but exhausting too. We travel with our dog and wouldn't do it any other way. Great vid as always ❤
Derek matching his underwear to his shoes while hiking was a highlight of the episode
Great vidio this week had a good laugh but at least you did all the walks
Hey team, fishing may be frustrating at times and we do go a while between fish sometimes but at least there are no stairs
Good Evening 😊 i see the clock in NOT on covers 😂
Mr Bob is so cute 😊 If Woolies burnt down it will change into Coles 😂😂 Beautiful camp spot and the sunset is EPIC 👏🏼 Lekker braai skaap tjops 😋 wow , that wind is strong 😮 Nice pool to cool yourself ❤ A Lot of Steps 😢 Now that's beautiful , gorgeous 💯👌🏽
Thanks Mates & Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Good to see a realistic version of hiking in Karajini. Always seems easy when the 30 yr olds are doing it.
Very funny. Deryk the mountain goat!
Love it guys, you did well doing the gorges.
Loved Derek after the first gorge, looked like he was sleeping at the wheel 😂😂😂😂😂
Thank you for contents, your humour is fantastic 🎉
Safe travels
Craig n Carol
Your still better equipped for hiking than us. We did most gorges on the Gibb in pluggers. You’d think we’d learn…. Eventually we did, joggers for Emma Gorge, but it took abit!
That was a good hike. Well done. WA just keeps on giving. Enjoy you week.
Good effort guys, Sometimes the most beautiful places are the harder ones to get to. You smashed it!!! I have learnt to just take your time and enjoy. I don't care if I stop lots of times it is the journey and the experience.
I can sympathise guys we have been doing waterfalls in Nth QLD for a week.
Cheers Michael
Wow! I have never seen or heard of these gorges.... thank you so much for sharing.. absolutely loved the scenery!
Relieved to see the Class 4 down to Fern Pool is doable :)
Great to see you back in the red dirt. Karijini is a special NP with lots to see and do - you barely scratched the surface. Now here's a challenge for next time - a 'real hike' to the summit of Mt Bruce. 😮 Enjoy.
Lol so cute. Seeing you guys bush/trail walking. You look out of place not being by the ocean. For sue to say it’s cold it must be 🥶 freezing!!!! Hahahah good on you both for getting out there. It’s beautiful but for us it’s the beach and coast. We will head inland one day. Just the red stuff has us a bit scared 😱
10/10 great effort. We're exhausted just watching
Thanks guys 😊 the voucher will be put to good use 🕺🎣
You guys did!! 🎉🎉 woohooo, those stairs at hamsley gorges are next level haha hated those stairs 😅
Amazing episode once again! Love Derek and his self critique of his cooking! Awesome drone footage as well, keep it, entertainment factor is top shelf! Thanks for all your efforts!
Such a great episode. So good to see you on the red dirt and in the outback, nothing better than Outback Aus :) plenty more of that ahead of you. The footage in this episode is so good, love love the drone footage of you driving on the red dirt ❤️❤️. Awesome job doing those hikes!!
Cracking Ep guys so funny
Hey Derrick can you tell me what joggers you were wearing in this episode. Love them. 😃
Another great video guys. Keep them coming 😃
This vid was Fab! Awesome effort guys, and thanks for showing us that what real people can do. Very inspirational
Derek you stressed me out climbing those rocks. 😂
Another amazing episode! Karijini is just breathtaking I absolutely loved it and we will def be back to do some of the gorges we missed out on!
Can’t wait for the next episode!
Great episode guys, I bet there were some sore legs a couple of days later...
Oh! It was like legs day at the gym 😂
Great episode guys. Tom Price & surrounds are pretty special . Hubby and I use to work for Rio at their Brockman site ( west of TP) I miss that scenery so much! Thanks for the great footage & well done with the hiking 🙌 Hard work but so worth it .
Just watching this again, cause we have just booked Karajini for next May. Heidi goes "wow, thats us, we won" i said yes, that was a yr ago lol 🤸🤣🎉
Oh gee I couldn’t do that with my knees ! Well done !
Hi guys thanks for doing all this. My uncle lived for years up that way in Parabadoo (south of Tom Price) and I never got to go up that way. Now I live in Canada and too busy for travelling but I enjoy my half hour fix of Australia that you do each week!
It’s an amazing place! Love The Pilbara! Rock formations are incredible. But I’m with you in how steep those stairs can be! 😂
YOURE LOOKING FANTASTIC BY THE WAY SUE BOOYDOO!! xx
Derrick you are a better person than me because there is no way I could climb that you my hero 😂😂. Well done to you both for hiking at Hammersly Gouge. Great video yet again. 😊
Well done 👏
Thank you for sharing!
I'm doing Karajini in 12months time and am inspired to also get fitter to walk the gorges because I'm not a hiker either haha! 😂
good to know regarding dog sitters!! we have 2 greyhound's xx
Great stuff guys, just put a deposit on a van and will definitely shout you a bee if we cross paths
Another great video love that you keep it real
Well done guys loved it 👍🏽
Loved this episode. We are having trouble here in WA too. Not because we have a dog but because we didn't book ahead caravan parks and campgrounds from Broome down to Exmouth. So we like you are coming back probably 2025 to do all the places we wanted, just hate this booking ahead. I figure as long as I plan the bits we need to I will give us a set date from our 1st booked site and hope to christ we don't break down or something else happens and we get there. I was hoping to see you on the road somewhere as we came down and you came up. We are now at Quobba Campground and loving our time here. I think I love my swimming and snorkelling as much as you Sue.
Top episode guys....great to see you getting out of the old comfort zone and confronting the life threatening obstacles that confronted you....Very impressive....keep up the hard ( and heart) work......Ciao...
thanks for sharing !!
Did you see the bats at Kermit Pool, after you finished going down the stairs if you look up high into the trees there is normally a heap up there
Loved your adventures ❤️
Great episode ❤
Thanks so much for the feedback and support 😊
What a effort guys we were there a month ago i looked but didnt go but ive got a few years on you both some of the other gorges are only a very 300mtrs from the carpark onto a viewing platform i did get to those. Shame about Bobby but thats the problem travelling with dogs if you want to go to N/P we losed our dog at 17 just before we left home 19 months ago if he had of made it we would have gladly taken hin along was bloody freezing when we were there as well
Yes 100% we love him and wouldn't have it any other way but we do miss out on a lot of NPs!
Lovin the content! Keep it coming.
Wifee wants to know where you snagged that lovely redy/pink hat ~6m25s
chur
What is that spice you had on the chops
Great video. How do you go with travelling with bob? We have two frenchie they’re our kids and we wouldn’t go travelling without them. But we are trying to find out any tips for tricks from you guys. As most places say they’re pet friendly and then we find they aren’t..
Slow and steady gets you there without having a heart attack (speaking for myself about 25kg overweight)😂
Hey Guys did you need to use a booster for youy ITPMS set up ?
Great episode guys.
Deryck, I’d like you to quit with mountain goat impersonation because we need you guys to keep traveling and inspire us.
To be clear - don’t die.
We need Bobby Cam
You're both rather fit afterall lol
What have you given up on WikiCamps like the rest of us 😂?
