It's about time welcome to the 21st century Racing. Give these hard working guys a chance to do there chosen profession to the best of their ability. Raise the weights by a stone, I'm sure those big strong horses can take it.
Of course the horses can handle it, but in order for a horse to run as fast as he/she can, jockeys need to be light. Many raise the weight limits by a few pounds though, not a stone
I dropped twenty pounds in one month. I had to drink 8 oz of water 8 times a day. Eat 6 oz of protein,of chicken,fish,or Pork. A cup of dark green vegtables.Once a day.Six times a day I can eat Protein Bars or Protein Shake at 110 calories each. It keeps me from being hungry.
So I'm a 13 Yr old and I really want to be a jockey and I wanted to start training early ao I'm not gonna lie I was the weight most jockeys are so I starved myself
Very sad that the video recommends reducing saturated fat intake that is relatively inert without considering the amount of saturated fat produced by the body in response to high insulin stimulating foods such as baked beans. Also, protein stimulates growth factors, leaving one susceptible to chronic ill health, necessitating the avoidance of excess. Very disappointed
Georgia Quinn I ride race horses and if I wasn’t to eat anything at all then I’d probably faint and fall off it in a race. It takes so much strength and energy just to hold them back
It's sad how skinny they have to be! These horses are 2,000 lbs - they can carry a jockey that weighs 160-180 lbs no problem!! Not fair this sport makes these men do this :/

A stone!? Maybe 2 or 4lbs wouldn't be a bad idea but a stone is a ridiculous idea

Yep 125lbs on the flat and 135on jumps
