In all fairness though Sakkari's losses were to decent oppenents. Particularly Muchova and Kostyuk, however she should still be performing better based on her ranking and talent. Definitely needs a shrink I think haha 😂

I mean... it's obvious to everyone else that Mladenovic is literally tanking these matches on purpose, right? Look at some of her high-profile wins and how she played then compared to the clips here. She's blatantly shanking forehands and overheads, completely twisting her arm mid-service motion, and making such terrible "decisions" that even lower-level recreational players know not to make.
I thought so too . There’s no way a talented player like her is always losing every match she plays

Zidansek, Maria, and Sakkari made it to SF but now can’t get past R1. Why is that? What is the difference between them and players who consistently make R2, R3, R4
Sakkari it’s all mental she’s struggling to get over that SF loss. With Maria and Zidansek I feel like they both had a miracle run and it’s pretty hard to repeat. Definitely Zidansek should be picking up some RG wins as Maria should be picking up some Wimby wins but their SF runs were pretty unexpected. Players like Swiatek, Sabalenka, Rybakina, Gauff, Pegula have a better ability to be consistent in big events, probably experience.
