Always try product management as a shadow resource in existing company. Never join new company as a product manager. Get some experience in existing company then go for it. First see how you like it for few months.

I am product manager … I agree with everything he said .. My only advice don’t go for PM if you are already in development role with over 5 years of experience and PM role only attracts you due to money… you will make far more money in development role …

I cracked the product manager job, after 6 months I changed to my previous role. I did nott like to work with people without any authority. It requires power to bring some change. In product management without any authority you have to bring the change in the system which is very difficult for many.
Completely depends on your inclination. Both project management (PM) and business analytics are valuable skills for management or non-technical students, but they have different focuses and applications. The choice between the two depends on your interests, career goals, and the specific industry you're targeting

I'm an architectural designer and want to transition to a PM role. Being from a construction background and transition to a corporate section, how will i be welcomed as i would be judged as i don't have any exposure in the sector. And aslo I've got suggestions that its better to get into data analytics and then later work up to be a PM. I hv spoken to Head of PM, director PM, etc they all said certification is getting gyaan not real experience. Already there is enough resources available.....
