If you’re not in it for the hobby, you already lost. This is a disposable income hobby and if you don’t have money to lose don’t spend ANY of it on Pokémon cards or any other no essential item for that matter.
I talked to a master engraver who has been engraving metal for 45 years. He charges $200 for an hours worth of work where as some just starting out could only charge $20. Building a reputation really can make quite a big difference.
What I've been trying to do is control my spending by pulling out the same amount of cash every month from the ATM and try to control my spending that way. I know exactly how much I've spent so far because i can see what's left in my wallet. That is excluding rent, utilities and phone bill.
Not only do people exist who play these games but surely that's the majority of people or at least thats what I would think. I mean I've been doing pack opening video and there are several channels that do that but you wouldn't say that's what the cards are for.
@@ToGoBox69 thats the crazy thing about pokemon. they don't even care that the new stuff isn't rare, its just kids and collectors liking the cards. not weird lol pop speculation of the reserved list.
@@beckeliasson8465 the most powerful thing about Pokémon is the pure demand for modern product. Demand is the key variable in the equation that is collectible investing!
@@ToGoBox69 theres vintage psa 10 pre 2000 stuff thats under $200 for psa 10 like carddass, topsun, etc that are soo slept on, pops under 20 and such. but people like to buy cards like alt umbreon and spend $1k for stuff that has 10k+ in pop 10 alone lol
You also have gambling addiction to take into account. Opening sealed product is essentially unregulated gambling.
@@mikecalla8450 very true!! I talk about that in one of my other videos!

“It’s just check fraud.”🤣I thought the same thing when I heard about that bullcrap. Maybe Chase allowed it on purpose to make more debt slaves🧐
