her tone has a beautiful edge to it. the hint of some growl in some notes is fetching indeed. fine playing. isn't "Solar" a Miles Davis song? she reminds me of that long string of albums Bud Shank did, a tad of the old West Coast "cool school" style of playing, which hearkens back of course to finally Lester Young.
