Depending on the EV from China, it might be a good thing that the CEO of Ford is impressed. He can use the information that he has acquired to make affordable trucks and cars in the USA under the Ford brand. BYD has a pickup truck that is affordable (but needs to be made larger for the US market) and is hybrid. It runs an ICE engine (low displacement) which runs a generator that charges the batteries, which run the electric motors. The truck always has a battery capacity so will always have full electric power when needed. Since you are not using full power most of the time the ICE engine regenerates the battery as you drive. You don't have an issue with range as the ICE motor can just be filled at any service station, but can be plugged in at your home or charger if you want. The other thing with the BYD is that the battery is leased so you don't have to worry about the battery degrading with time, and the company has built the truck so the battery can be removed robotically and replaced when required at the companies expense (since you only lease them, and BYD owns them). It will bring EV (or Hybrid) vehicles into the 22nd Century and will make the Big Three stand up and take notice. EV vehicles can be built and can be profitable if you change your business model to support the customer. The Ramcharger will be the first American made experiment in this direction. Lets hope that the battery lease will also be adopted.

They just got a huge fine for not recalling vehicles, apparently they forgot trump and tarrifs good luck with that ferd turd.
Jimmy is heading to Boeing for media ceo , after he destroyed Ford .
Hang on to your money. When Ford has going out of business sale, you'll have money to buy 3 for price of 1. It's funny that most other companies aren't on same bandwagon as Ford and are selling more.
...and who is going to repair that crap??
Japanese brands started making cars in US. American brands started making cars in Asia. Interesting
the reason why the Lightning is failing is because of the range on it. It is literally the worst EV truck when it comes to range. The Chevy EV price is insane but it can do 700KM on a full charge where the Lightning can only do what 400km...
It says a lot when the CEO of Ford is driving a Chinese vehicle. You have to ask yourself why isn’t he driving a mach E or f150 lightning?
They bought them Chinese cars to figure out what they were doing differently to make them so cheap. They found nothing really different and still can't make money on American EVs.... BYD looking strong globally without any US sales.
I feel im better off putting my money in my old car rather than pay all that money for a new car. You cant get a new Hyundai for under $35,000.
Last year there was a 20k tax break to get an electric car
I guess CEOs should never buy a competitor unit to compare. 🙄
👍 awesome, keeping the Ford Mustang and V8 i’ve always liked the sound and power that V8 delivers
Dear Ford:
We don't want this cr@p.
Signed,
The Buying Public
Chinese EV's... 🤮🤮🤮
Then you haven't seen what BYD and a few others has been cooking. They are actually a much better products than what legacy auto been trying to produce.
@@thegreatempire3882but doubt they reliable

Their Lfp batters are extremely reliable and stable.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just recently Walmart recalled B&D coffee makers made in China that were catching on fire. Why? They cut corners on a little plastic and insulation. If they did the same on EV batteries they would be burning everywhere.
I thought we were not allowing Chinese ev’s into the US due to ev technology and spying. But Farley shipped one.
Ford just wanted the Mach-E to sell just by naming it Mustang.
Also these crap vehicles that are hardly being purchased use up resources to fix the Ford vehicles we own now. My Focus transmission control unit is malfunctioning and needs warranty work but can't get fixed because there's a nationwide shortage of components. It's been almost 3 months and it's putting a strain on my family being stuck with only our truck running.
Farly should be diving a Ford product and maybe find out if their EV"s are worth owning.
That's Ford done!
Slap tariffs on American vehicles produced in china and sold here. Make them produce the cars here
The Ford CEO is for sure related to Carlos Tavares.
He is comedian Chris Farley’s first cousin actually.
