This song reminds me when I was a kid and my whole family would go and sing navajo gospel songs in the evening at Grandmas. Sitting around the only light we had .. a lamp oil. We were poor but we were happy. This song makes sense now. I miss them and can't wait to see them again. 😢

I recently discovered these beautiful hymns sung by Elizabeth Bryant & Virginia Graymountain in the Navajo language. I enjoy them very much. I wonder if these dear ladies are still performing? I would enjoy a CD by them.
Such a very wonderful n inspiration song. Brings back memories of my mom, Pearl, driving her nine children all over the northern rez dirt roads to attend revivals in our beat up Ford truck. My mom would be singing gospel songs with my three younger sisters in the cab and my brothers bouncing around in the back of the truck. My mom had a wonderful singing ability n the song vocal reminds me of her. She is in the nursing home n we are not a family anymore for she was the stabilizing force of a single parent family...God bless her...pray for her for me...
