Lookin' forward to seeing this build. I'm sure it will be as inspirational as the Cobra Jet project. Less the tragedy associated with the gracious owner. My heart and prayers to you and his family.
I have a red belly California 1968 fastback in the garage, paid 700.00 for it in 1991. Been waiting to make it a UA-cam project as soon as I retire "soon" from 30 yrs as an officer in Corrections. Stay tune.. it will be a quick and easy build. Jeff
Barry, your my ambassador of "Quan" my friend 😉! You have to be the "zen" master, not to have freaked out, looking at that 1st shattered crate. Only to find 2nd one, in almost pristine condition, was the one the actually damaged roof panel !!! Hopefully, with yours and FedX's documentation on the damage, an accomodation can be made here. Some type healthy discount, or them abandoning that roof, for your "next" project, in 2026 !!!!!! God bless... I'll be watching brother....
Thanks, I think. I've always been pretty level headed. I find that getting angry typically doesn't change what's already been done. I think that's why I tend to excel at problem solving.
Dang something was bound to happened with such a big load. To bad dynacorn isn't local so you could just pick up yourself. Also I need to follow up on the cobra jet project I sorta fell off on that one heard you mention paint! Cool beans
The shipping dept. at Dynacorn should have known better than to send the floor pan on a skid like that. They could have built a better one and secured the parts better.
That has to be so frustrating, to invest that kind of money on a project and show up to that mess! I visited Kentucky Mustang a month ago and I’m thinking of buying parts from them just so I can pick them up myself!
Glad you have a new project for next year. What about Slither? What is your time line for Slither? How could anyone justify in their mind, allowing their companies product to be shipped like that? Or was it FedEx?
I've had much better luck with UPS for speed, and care. Unfortunately we don't get much choice since FedEx aggressively cuts their rates to businesses and negates ups as an option to the customer.
I was wondering if this is going to be a vin swap car or will it be a new registration? The reason I'm asking is because I live in the same state and was wondering how hard the process is and does it cost a arm and a leg to get the paperwork .
@@JoDaddysGarage oh okay, my daughter is wanting a dodge charger 1970 Dodge Charger R/T that looks like eht movie car that was in The Fast and the Furious. I told her thats a lot of money so we better start now 😆. I tols her instead of messing up a good car we would just buy a shell and start there.
It’s just for that reason that I will not have exterior sheet metal shipped but if you were dealing with Dynacorn direct he probably didn’t have much of a choice
Glad a good man like Marquis was there to help you out. Looking forward to seeing this new project.
I cannot wait for the build to begin.
Looking forward to next year’s project
it's fedex, they don't give a crap! I was told by Jegs, fedex is there #1 customer, they pay for more damaged product then any other shipper.
Glad things turned out better than the initial appearance.

Can't wait!! I have to do my 68 FB starting around next year. This will be so helpful!
Great job again Fedwrex. I have faith that Barry will still win in the end. 🤣🤣
Good luck 😊
hi barry grate show 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😄
That's a great salvage job.. It looked like the shipment had a bomb in it.
So looking forward to seeing this build!
Good luck
Nice score on the parts but a drag on some being damaged.
I look forward to the full build. 🙂
It crazy how these shippers handle your items. I was told to imagine them throwing your stuff about 10 feet.

Good show.

I don’t get too worked up. If I do though….. but it would take a lot to get me there.
Barry you are so mellow minded, a lot of people would flip out ! this video for my file will
be Bad order Nov 2 2024 ??? have a good day 👍👍

Just about every part that I shipped to my house showed up with damage.
Glad you have a new project for next year. What about Slither? What is your time line for Slither?

Slither is close to paint.

It will have parts from a coupe donor car

Doesn't dynacorn want their chassis metal pallet back?
No. It’s very thin metal. Not worth shipping back.
It’s just for that reason that I will not have exterior sheet metal shipped but if you were dealing with Dynacorn direct he probably didn’t have much of a choice
Yep
So, was someone having an awesome sale or free shipping to order so much at one time?
I wanted to have everything in my possession before I started the project.
Where did you have to go to pick up this order, what city?
Freight hub in Atlanta.
That’s what “free shipping” looks like?
Not free…..
That busted up pallet looked terrible.
looked like some damage to trans tunnel
Very minor. It will be modified there anyway.
Is this build a rare car?
No
I've not been impressed with dynacorn parts I use AMD now
If they made them for the mustang I would too.
Spending $15,000.00 on body panels why not spent $300.00 more to get it delivered by a local trucking company ?
What fun is that? Seriously though, I would likely have more problems if someone else picked it up and delivered it.
