Thank you for this video, this video has solved an issue with firewalls that a Network Engineer had. As an SVI and Router on a stick guy, I had some major problems with "Firewall on a stick" I made note of the inspect and same-security-traffic, oddly enough... I was finally able to make pings route across sub-interfaces to hosts. Still can't ping the sub-interface, but I heard that's an ongoing issue. An issue I had is when I went from real physical hardware to GNS3.. I definitely missed no ip routing on a couple of virtual hosts along with ip default-gateway. WOW. Either way, firewall knowledge is such a critical component to our networks. I greatly appreciate your tutorials and troubleshooting efforts. Thanks mate!
Great troubleshooting, were you ever able to resolve the issue with the remote desktop connection? Do you think it could possibly be that the windows firewall on the pc is turned on and is blocking the connection? Thanks for the video, keep them up!
Hello Rob! I have been looking for a consultant for an IPSEC ikev2 multisite connection with perimeter and ISP redundancy. Do you do one-2-one consult? This has been very troublesome for me since without the redundancy everything worked fine but after scaling up everything went nuts. I managed to do the SA with every device but only one gateway (of two) is working for each site.
Thanks! But ASA is getting phased out, very few orgs are running classic ASA with ASA code. Everyone is moving to FTD since its the NGFW from Cisco. A lot of supported things on ASA can be done on FTD, so, if I were to make a course, it would be on FTD.
I really want to like your channel but it's not teaching or explaining anything, it's just about you doing some lab which we have no concept of the goal or objectives. I thought this video was going to be about "Configuring ASA VLAN Interfaces", you created a few virtual interfaces but that was all I saw on the topic. You're hard to follow and I get lost on what you're trying to accomplish.
That's all there is to the topic. I don't know what your expecting to see. The last few comments from you have been really negative. If you don't like the training, go elsewhere. You must be new to networking based on your comments. Go read the documentation and come back or something. But stop complaining, it's not going to change anything.

Thanks! More is on the way!
I followed the steps in the video and everything worked. Did not have any of the issues you were having with telnet to 3389. Great videos.

hello, my default policy map is not including the inspect for either icmp or HTTP (to use asdm), can I configure this default policy?

send me an email @ rriker82 at gmail dot com so we can discuss this further.
You could use trace route too
Not sure what you're referring to, sometimes traceroute is in effective.
Excellent lab and explanation, subscribed
You should be able to use wireshark on eve
With the pro version, sure, not with the free version from my testing.
