Can you thermal a 13.75m Single Surface Paraglider? Bogdanfly Lattice M

A flight in late December here in Victoria Australia. Quite rough and thermic but the Lattice inspires confidence. I'm flying with an all up weight of about 75kg which is about 1/3 of the way up the weight range.

I have the same total in flight weight (about 74kg) Would you have considered going for the size 14?

I'm sure the 14 would have a similar glide ratio and be about 5kph faster. But it would be super hard to thermal because of the speed and the increased sink rate when turning. If you just want a wing for ridge soaring or short descents the 14 would be fine. I wanted something light with a small pack volume that would still climb in thermals so that I can get over terrain. I considered the large wing as the weight of all is close but chose this wing mainly for the pack volume.
