I'm new to brushes and currently shopping for a badger brush. People have been telling me that a 2 band is better than silver tip due to a more balanced backbone and comfort level. Now I see what they mean. Thanks so much for this video. It's very helpful.

One is the 22 MM Sagrada Familia 2 band badger 2 the 24 mm Panda two band and 3 if you really like a large wide spreading knot the 26 mm Moka Express two band badger is good ! Great information on rating brushes. I went through my collection of brushes to see where they fall in the PR Index. I find that I prefer my brushes somewhere in the middle of the PR Index.

So, mid range pr index brush is ideal, you think, like cashmere knot dandelion or mew brown knot, tuxedo knot? Then, what's the merit of high pr index brush like moka express 2-band badger, and low pr index brush like aqua high mountain silver tip badger? And your opinion about mountain lake 2-band badger brush? I already have 8 Yaqi brushes. And more, I'm on the fence over dandelion cashmere & 22mm cola handle brush.. Do you recommend these two?
LOL Hoon mid range PR index brushes make the most sense to me personally! I like 2 bans much better than silver tips but if you knew what i use now you might be surprised~! Have you seen my 36 hour boar brush break in video? Anyway I use two Omega Boar Bushes exclusively and I just love them that much~! My Two Razors are a yaqi adjustile that is still being developed and the merkur 39 Slant razor and that is all i use now ~! I no longer make video's now Loon and I really got down to my BEST equipment ~! Kit
@@deshavetalkwithkit8935 Except my Yaqi brushes(5 synthetic & 3 badger), I have 3 boar brushes(Omega 10098, Semogue 1305 & Stirling 24mm boar brush) I like boar brushes a lot. My 3 Yaqi badger brushes are all I mentioned above reply. And for synthetic & badger brushes, I think Yaqi brushes are best economic & quality brush. Stay healthy and have a great day!
King Kit hi, I have the Moka 2Band badger and it's fantastic. I want to add one more. Which one? I am between the Silvertip 24mm black handle, the High Mountain 24mm, the 2band 24mm in the same handle as the High Mountain.

There are 3 Yaqi Ferrai Brushes with different Knots.. The West Coast Shaving two tone beige knot is pretty killer man ... about a 6 PR .. good back bone and nice painter too. The Yaqi 26 MM Ferrari Tux knot is the one I really really love best of my Ferrari brushes ~! Kit
LOL now I know why the PR indexed crap didn’t catch on.... 🤣. It’s way too complicated... it’s easier just to say if the brush is soft or stiff or has a lot of back bone or not.. The veteran traditional WetShavers like myself just use the different type of Badger as a grading scale.. Black Badger=Stiff , lots of backbone, hard to splay Finest Badger=. Medium backbone medium/higher softness, retains more water SilverTip Badger = Low back bone, High softness, retains the most water Easy as that😁👍🏻

Unless you like very low PR index (or very floppy) brushes stay away from the Silver tip. My High Mountain sits in a drawer ~! Kit
