Drones have become the new way of war, the whole tank and infantry thing isn't working with drones around. Also, shoulder-fired anti-tank and anti-air rocket launchers are having a profound impact as well.
Nothing to do with drones, infantry and armour not being used effectively, that's all. If this was NATO fighting a war, they'd have air superiority and the armour would be fully supported by infantry.
EXCEPT that some countries have super-high anti-air ballistic missiles that don't allow for air superiority. So unless you're using ONLY F35s and F22s with stealth tech, you're out, and you better hope they haven't figured out a way around the stealth.@@mauricetoussaint7283

Sorry drones is nothing new. I pay Ghost Recon Wildlands on Playstation abs have since its release in March 2017. When Ghost War was released (PVP mode) we are three ones that created explosive drone use. In fact ubisoft had to create a fix in the game because we would toss c-4 on a diversion drone class which in the game is a tiny almost invisible drone but we would fly it in buildings, tunnels or use to take out snipers. They would hear the drone incoming and try running but c4 has a huge blast radius. This was back in late 2017 early 2018. In certain players in Europe and even players from Russia played this game too and this was a huge reason why drones are used in Ukraine, thanks to video games!
Now that being said, I never want to hear anyone say you'll never accomplish anything playing video games! Ukraine has been holding a power country back from taking their country. I'd say that's a bigger accomplishment than anyone and their daytime job!
