So picture this, Your in the new Nether activity and on the Expert difficulty! It's rough in there. You have no revive tokens left just like me since your Storm Trooper Titan keeps running in head first and using up all the lives, I don't know if it was a good idea bungie to let these storm troopers in.
So with no lives left and with the insane tormentor as the last boss that just runs you down. What can you do.
This is where the true shadow clone army comes in.
I just keep dropping strand clones one after the other and the tormentor just doesn't know what to do with them.
You can easily have 3 clones up at a time, I think I show 5 up at a single time as well, and Imagine if you had 3 Hunters doing this together, you could probably see 10 up at time, what makes them even better know is that fact that we can leave them up in the air. Normally certain types of enemies would run over them and and trigger there proximity explosion. But now since they stay in the air we can take advantage of there entire lifespan which is almost 15 seconds per clone.
This is all made possible thanks to the new combo of the 2 aspects. ASCENSION AND THREADED SPECTRE, along with a exotic change that let's us stack 3 dodge abilities or get our dodge back just after 3 kills alone.
ASCENSION now works with all dodge related skills and Mods that affect our dodge, Ascension also jolts targets if there close enough, refunds our melee ability thanks to gamblers dodge and make us amplified all while dropping a Strand clone wherever we use it.
Amplified got it's buff now and enemies have a harder time hitting us, we get a flat 15% damage reduction, we also leave the strand clone that helps out you and your entire fire team! It's one of the coolest interactions for strand clones and I'm all for it!
So everything moving forward is built around getting that dodge ability back as quick as possible and stacking some extra damage reduction to make the Expert Nether much easier.

I've been out of D2 for years, this build kind of wants to make me play again.
It's working HAHAHA :) Could wait till Frontiers this summer though. Probably would be a better time with Armor 2.0 and stuff

This build looks cool. Plunder you should try using Whirling maelstrom on Hunter in the nether. There are so many tangles you can have like 5 or 6 out at once

Hey, hunter main here. Ascension doesn't actually proc class ability mods like reaper, distribution, powerful attraction, etc. You would be better off slotting some other mods. I've tested it both last season and this season. If I've somehow got this wrong I'm happy to be proved wrong and will apologize
The build looks super fun though and will definitely give it a crack.

I saw this coming when ascension started triggering dodge abilities, reload, mele recharge AND clones! I'm hyped to use this.
The build is really fun! Anyone else notice the extra dodge charges you get with radiant dance machines will go away after some time? It is stated nowhere that this will happen.

Curious to see what you gonna do with the new void aspect.
When you get to building something just fyi - lorentz synergises with the aspect.
Both will mark enemies separately. Lorentz targets drop telemetries but the aspect ones will not. That is until you get langrangian sight buff activated, thats when the synergy happens. The aspect targets now also drop telemetries along with the targets marked by the gun which refresh your buff and continue feeding you 1 free ammo per pick up.

I had the same idea but for strand hunter, since spectre will work with ensnaring slam now. You just won't get access to amplified easily unfortunately. But the with those aspects you cant take advantage of all the bayblades neather can spawn

lol, gdi, I knew this was going to happen. i knew Ascension triggering Specter was going to be super good.
I enjoyed playing around with Liar's Handshake with Spectre and Shroud when Prismatic first dropped, so I think I'm really going to enjoy these shenanigans as well. This looks silly fun and reminds me of the nonsense of the Spiderman Strand build.

Nice build still looking for a bolt charge build on hunter. I already made one on each class just hunter seems to be the tricky one to make a good build for.
Im gonna try this but on exotic class item roll with spirit of inmost light and cyrtarachne. Surely amplified stacks alongside woven mail and frost armor. Great build
It would be really cool if they made the decoys also function like tangles and strand anchors so you could grapple to them for free

Would probably be worth showing these builds outside of Nether since there's so much extra ability regen in there.

Hmm what you mean? Can you explain more was looking to go that way
Basically, any dodge-related mod (except for the utility kickstart mod) won't trigger when you activate Ascension, so you won't collect orbs of power with powerful attraction nor you'll spawn an orb of power with the reaper mod
However, let's not fail to acknowledge that they removed Ascension's little known interaction with swords. If you were holding a sword, ascension used to proc any on hit or on kill perks (cold steel, incandescent, half of the Ergo Sum options)
Ive been using radiant dodge with this build to get radiant and amplified at the same time which of course allies benefit from as well. Sucks not grtting the melee charges back so instead I build into melee regen through mods/pugilist
This a dope ass build can it be used in master/gm nightfalls?
does recuperation or better already even work in the nether? I didnt notice it working, but maybe I didnt hit enough orbs at once or something. Aside from that, good build. Thanks!!

Other than the exotic weapon, what would you recommend for the secondary and heavy weapons?
Whatever you need for your activity, I needed unstoppable so I went with a fusion and a LMG in heavy for the tormentors. :)
understandable might see what works for me, but I think for LMG I’m thinking of rocking the new watchers eye since I have it with overflow and jolting feedback. With ascension that would be crazy

Is Khovstok really the best exotic primary for something like this? Wondering about Bad Juju for more damage/super spam or even the new trace rifle should count for primary kills right? And then you get more jolt and bolt charges going.
Crimison provides full health on kill. Rat king with catalyst gives invis and health

I was lucky enough to farm hoil/ 6th coyote for my hunter so I think I’ll rock with that rather than rdm, I’m not a fan of the change tbh.
Picture you are the last gaurdian standing on the last boss, and before you can finish soloing the the boss as your fireteam watches for those few minutes, they get kicked due to inactivity and get zero rewards. COME ON BUNGIE!!! I mean, they helped me get that far and they got nothing.

Run this with moth keepers and exdiris. It plays the game for you
When I use Powerful Attraction in combination with Ascension, it did not pick up the orbs.
Ascension only works with subclass actions/aspects.
It doesnt activate reaper, p. attraction or any other class ability centric mod.
Pretty sure the class item mods still won’t work with Ascension
I just finished an expert run with the same 2 aspects on my build then see your vid pop up haha.
I built it end of last season with this season in mind. I went for a Foetracer/ Coyote exotic cloak and running triple strand with new support strand auto & tesselation. It’s filthy man
You can pair it with a lot and it performs amazing! Since the clone lasts so long. The new Clone boots from last season are good too!
@@PlunderthabootyYeah the buffs to ascension and clone are so good! Did they buff those boots as well? I really couldn’t find much use for them in PvE last season but the RDM boots seem great now!

Honestly I’m jealous of the titan arc aspect for arc they’re the only class that can create it fast and also be able to discharge it using weapons.
none of the mods u are using on clas item works with ascend btw... and no the changes done did not change that this patch not all the thinks are supposed to work they sad they may add some later

@@Plunderthabootyjust got to the leg mods part of the video and I have to say Insulation is a trap. It gives less class ability energy than Absolution and you're already getting class ability energy from so many other places that you're probably better off taking Innervation or Orbs of Restoration. Other than that, this is better than that time I got called "the Anakin Skywalker of builds" on TDT, lol

this build is not very good for nether.
Btw, if you are having difficulty in the nether equip the exotic crimson. It gives full heal on kill. Also rat king if you have the catalyst. With these two weapons i got comfortable trying new builds
